I spent less than 5 minutes telling them who the flowers were for and what I wanted (I didn't really know but just didn't want to show up with a massive arrangement but wanted something nice..). When I picked them up the next day, the flowers were perfect! High quality, fragrant and colorful. Absolutely nailed it! Thanks ladies!!

Received no communication back until late morning Friday when…read moresomeone calls to say "if you need a delivery you'll need to call us back in the next hour, we're very busy." Just like that, brusque, no warmth. No acknowledgement that they skipped a whole work day, and again nothing welcoming. Completely understand that businesses get busy, kudos!, but if you're trying to welcome new business or strengthen a reputation as a caring business - this is hardly the way to do it. Called back just to let somebody know what happened - since I have no idea if this was the owner who called back that brusquely or an employee - and again no apology just "sometimes we just get busy" ... and did I still need flowers...? Ummmm - yes: 2 days ago. We are all very busy (especially these days) - including new customers reaching out for your business. Since this business seems unaware: if a person calls around saying they're from out of state looking for a florist for a friend who is suffering (I left a clear voicemail -because it WAS important and timely) and you wait 2 days, they likely have moved on to businesses who welcome their call and seem welcoming.

Ashberry & Logan - This is the display my sweet parents actually received. Round vase, cheap filler, fake Diamond ribbon thing.

I am upset about my experience and lack of response from the 'florist'. I called 5 days before the…read moreplanned delivery date to place a very special arrangement for parents celebrating their 60 year Diamond Anniversary. I attempted to send photos of my idea and ,also, verbalized in detail that I wanted a very uncluttered, zen, minimalist arrangement of two dozen roses (pink & white). I detailed that I wanted the stems to be neatly lined up, flowers all the same height, no filler, and a rectangular vase/with edges to enhance the aesthetic, maybe a simple silver ribbon wrapped around the vase. 'Uncluttered' was described. I had to call to ask for the status the day of the delivery because I hadn't received any receipt but saw the credit card charge the first day I called. When I called, the same gentleman answered and seemed frazzled and overwhelmed (as he was on the day I ordered this). During the call did re-sent the receipt (which I got no problem). He told me 'it's probably Comcast (my server) and seemed to blame me. He said he was working on it now and we reviewed my request. He said he never got any inspiration photos so I re-sent them again. I never got a call back after I resent photos of my directions for the order AGAIN. He did send me a email with a photo of what he did do, but the email had no attached photo. I responded right away that I hadn't gotten it, no photo was received. Nothing. To my horror, my parents received a really unacceptable arrangement- hideous, dripping diamonds out one end, all different heights, round cheap case- I was so disappointed. The worse part- $220 for what looked like the thing was literally thrown together last minute and arrived close to dinner time on my elderly parents' anniversary. The first photo is the design I had described and hope they could create (as he promised that he could, verbalizing he 'understood'). The second is what was sent to my parents. I felt taken advantage of, I felt ripped off and I would have give them negative stars if YELP would have allowed. Run from this business- it's a complete rip off and the artistic talent is clearly lackluster. HORRIFIC. Honestly, I would have not posted this but the owner chose to not respond after 24 hours. Completely terrible experience from start to finish. Business is poor on every level. Especially talent.

I don't buy flowers for myself unless they're fragrant. I know it's hard to get fragrant flowers these days because so many people have allergies but I'm so glad they still get them! Thanks for a lovely Mother's Day surprise.

It is not huge, but somehow I almost always find the perfect thing, whether it is a hostess gift, a small thoughtful present, or just something I decide I need for myself. Their gift selection feels really unique and not like the usual stuff you see everywhere else. They also have really nice greeting cards at super reasonable prices, usually about half of what you would pay at the pharmacy, and they feel so much more personal than those generic cards. It is one of those places that just feels special when you walk in, and I pretty much always leave with something I love.

Tom, at Vanwingerden, agreed to take my seeds and germinate them. He sent me pictures of the plants germinated in April and told me I could pick them up in "a month or so". Some didn't come up and I told him not to worry about those ones. The deal was I would buy the starts back. I called before mother's day to pick up the starts with no response. I called after mother's day only to discover Tom gave away ALL the plants to one of his employees. Not only did he give this employee the plants, he gave her ALL my seeds as well and then tells me he doesn't want to bug her to ask for anything back because of a loss in her family. Why would I bring seeds in and give them to their office if I didn't want the plants? Why would he get my hopes up by sending me a picture of the plants? What would ever make him think it was ok to give away my heirloom seeds? I blindly trusted and shouldn't have. The whole thing makes no sense at all and I feel totally robbed.
