The production of "Fences" which we attended was well produced, and directed. The staging and costumes were so well done they enhanced the overall power of the play. The acting was breathtaking and the characters were believable and empathetic. The lead actor gave as powerful a performance as you could possibly imagine. I can't wait for the next production! We will be in attendance.

The shows are time notch, and their directors like Kathy P., in a class by herself, she's just terrific! Every show I've seen there was well cast, had great props and was very entertaining. I go here regularly, bringing my theater group almost buying out the theater it's so popular. The group of us love their productions and their large lobby with a snack bar is great and very clean bathrooms. Not a bad seat in the house, and the stage is pretty large for a small community theater. It may be tricky to find, since they are located on the campus of a high school, but don't let that deter you. See you all next month for "Street Car Named Desire" and the following month, "The Whale" which is a great show!

As many of us know, Classical music is not for everyone, unless you have a special type of interest…read moretowards that kind of music. Classical music is something that I grew up with and still enjoy listening to until now. I can name a lot of my favorite composers from back in early 16, 17, 18 hundreds but I'd rather not. I listen to symphony/classical music with a different ear. It is always relaxing, soothing, and calming. Also, let me not forget to mention that I grew up playing the piano very well. That also has something to do with it. The Renée & Henry Segerstrom Hall is the newest addition to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts campus, opening in 2006. I have been to this place 5 times in my life. Each time that I have gone there has been a beautiful experience, top notch, in every way. Great location with so many dining options within walking distance & the Pacific Symphony are glorious, glamorous and amazing to listen to. This hall is GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL, & EXTRAORDINARY! It has 4 levels and no matter where you sit, you can see and hear the performance very clearly. The sound system is FANTASTIC!! I have seen/heard Itzhak Perlman, Scandinavian dance performance, couple of Jazz artists like Berry Perkins Bobby Rush, and few others.. On February 7th, a friend of mine invited me to the event "St.Clair Conducts Beethoven & Don Quixote". Tickets started at $33 and up. Our tickets were $108.00 each. I know, pretty steep, but, totally worth it. We were sitting in the orchestra level row U, seats 10 & 11. I can go on and on and on about this wonderful venue, the architecture of the building, but my fingers are now tired, so I will conclude my review by saying that staff are very professional, helpful, ushers will direct/escort you to your seats, parking is $20 and the rest I am leaving it to your own imagination. Pristine, super clean restrooms. Lights off, and enjoy the program:-)!! I wish this place was close to my city/home.

My daughter has now participated in four (going on five!) productions, and every experience has been nothing short of magical. She is seen, valued, and supported not only as an actress but as a whole person -- and that kind of love and encouragement is priceless. Chelsea Braverman, the owner, is warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She truly cares for each of her students and takes the time to build meaningful connections--not only with the kids, but with their parents as well. What makes Braver Players so special is its deeply inclusive environment. Every child is celebrated for exactly who they are, and the result is a cast full of confidence, kindness, and pure joy. The quality of the productions is exceptional -- from the gorgeous costumes and beautifully designed sets to the professional-level acting, singing, and live music. The coaching the kids receive is top-notch and helps them truly shine on stage. What also sets BP apart is the culture among the families. Parents and kids alike are genuinely supportive of one another. There's no drama over roles -- only excitement for the success of the entire production. It's a true team effort, and you can feel that in every performance. I am consistently blown away by the level of talent and the brilliant casting choices -- it's as if each performer was born for their role, which speaks volumes about the vision and care of the directors and producers. Braver Players is more than a theater -- it's a family, and we are so grateful to be a part of it.

Chelsea Braverman (owner) makes every effort to foster an atmosphere where students can flourish in all aspects of performance, including voice, acting, choreography, and production. They don't shy away from productions that tackle challenging themes, and they create a safe place for students to explore the complexities of theatrical artistry. Lastly, and most importantly, they recognize and reward hard work and dedication thereby fostering each student's passion for the performing arts. Oh - and the final productions are top notch! In sum, Braver Players is more than a musical theater company; it is a vibrant community that we are profoundly grateful to have discovered.
