In addition to the technical books, it had a great selection of antiquarian books on other subjects. I spotted vintage children's books, classics, and poetry. There's a small selection of truly antiquarian books (prior to 1700) in Latin and Greek, as well. I need to go back to do quite a bit more digging around. The owner of the store is very pleasant to converse with. It's true that she prefers cash over credit cards, but as a small business I can't blame her at all. Credit card processing takes a big chunk of every transaction for the merchant.

When I got to the counter I told him what it was and how much it was . He sighed and walked to the location I got it, looked, and came back . He didn't say a word to me during the entire checkout. When I told him thank you he didn't even respond. I don't know how to explain in adequate words how weird the atmosphere was in the store. There were tons of cool gems and crystals but they were very very expensive. Some of the stones were marked up 50 percent or more than other stores I have been too. It was ironic because they sell bumper stickers that say "shop local ". Well, yeah, I try to but not when local stores treat you like you are a nuisance shopping at their store. I wish I would have read the reviews here first before shopping. One or two bad reviews can be explained away. The fact there are so many bad reviews paints an accurate picture of the terrible customer service and high prices at this store. We won't be back.

The flatbread was nice and crispy with a good flavor for something pre-made and just needed to be heated. But the highlight of my visit was the Autumn Heat tea. The "Heat" refers to the spice level (one of the ingredients is Hot Honey), you can choose for it to be served hot or cold. I chose to have it served hot. I really enjoy spicy food and drinks. This tea was very spicy! If you enjoy spicy foods you should give this one a try. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this one! As normal, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about what they sell, and polite. Always a pleasure to shop at The Book Rack.

The bookstore had a dining area, games to stay and play, a discount section, mini events area, just so much not including the books and it was so cute! Books were pricey but given the condition, special editions, etc ... it's understandable. Will definitely be a frequent customer!

I love a small business with passion for its offerings, it's critical for the atmosphere to be just right. You can feel the passion in this space. Having done a lot of my shopping online over the last few years, I don't often venture into shops. But this one pulled me in and rewarded me with a bounty of books for my darling girl, and I'll be taking trips to this area, specifically with the store in mind! I didn't have any thought to look at adult offerings but I'll make sure to do that on future visits. Right now it's all auntie brain all the time!
