Worried this place may not complete the repair they quoted you? And worried when you show up to pick up your car, the price has drastically increased without them notifying you? Drive an extra mile to another repair shop. It may take a couple days longer, you will avoid having to plead with the owner while they hold your car hostage until you pay the new higher cost that wasn't communicated or requested during the repair. read more

Initially the high end new BMW X7 was in for front bumper repair. The repair took excessively long and when we received the auto in return, the inside was covered in clay dirt, door sill scratched, and missing paint on the front bumper. They said they would use touch up paint. They then agreed to repaint, and then scratched the hood. I took the auto to a paint repair shop , separate from Import Paint and Body , to get the scratches fixed, paid for it myself. The X7 then went in for a minor fix on the rear bumper. Upon return, several pieces of tape were painted over. They complained that the tape was already on the bumber before they had the The vehicle. Picture proved them wrong and they repainted the bumper. Then upon return side bumper reflectors were cracked. They agreed they did the damage and they would replace that reflector. Then upon the reflector replacement, they scratched and marred the paint under where the reflector is taken out. They also cracked and marred the other side reflector. They are blaming Hendrick Auto and will not fix the damage they created. I highly recommend not to do business at Import Paint and Body. read more

I chose Import Paint & Body due to the great reviews. I own a Vintage BMW that was in a small fender bender that cracked the tail light and creased the driver side quarter panel. The car is in mint condition so I was in search of a detailed body shop. The quote seemed fair for a quality repair. I knew I could have found a better price but wanted the best. When I arrived to pick my car up it was obvious that the repair was rushed. Paint dust was all over the inside of the trunk as well as the rest of the car. No big deal I thought, I will clean it up when I get home. The next day I detailed the car to find many imperfections in the clear coat which was really disappointing. I also had an error message (Tail Light Failure) which I also had to deal with. After some troubleshooting I found two broken bulb sockets that weren't getting connection due to overtightening. The entire tail light assembly was loose due to the tech forgetting to tighten the nuts as well. I do want to point out some positives. The repair to the quarter panel was great and the paint matched perfectly. They also removed several dings that was also an A+ job. I do think that they have the potential to do some amazing work but are becoming so busy that the quality is starting to suffer. I paid $3500 for the repairs and I am very disappointed. I do hope that this review is an eye opener for the owner and he starts to focus on quality instead of quantity. read more

Let me begin by saying, I haven't had the need for the collision services at Import Paint & Body and hope not to need them BUT.... my 2016 Porsche Cayenne had a couple of bird stains that were quite unsightly! Loren K. was very professional and assessed the damage and suggested I speak with Carlos. Carlos is IP&B's detail expert and was quite magical in making the stains disappear and suggested I might consider a CQuartz Finest paint coating to minimize future stains. This coating would also give my vehicle a "wet look" and yes my 955 is black! Well, I picked up my car today and it looks fabulous. This isn't an inexpensive coating and neither is the vehicle I had it applied to......but great value and good people to do business with! Carlos's attention to my car was professional, honest and the results exceeded my expectations! I had a good sampling of the services at Import Paint and Body... I recently purchased a first generation MINI Cooper JCW (not the classic, the new one owned by BMW). It had a couple of rust spots on a few body panels. It needed some PDR on a fender and the bonnet was resprayed at some point in the past and the color wasn't a very good match... not to mention the handful of dings and dents that needed to be massaged out. Oh yeah... I had a new pair of rocker panels that needed to be painted and installed. The team did a great job. The actual price was up maybe 5% over the estimate (but only after I got a phone call to describe the additional rust issue that was found and they got my approval to fix it). It took an extra week to get the work done, but luckily this is a fun car, not my daily driver, so I had the convenience of time. The car was returned to me in beautiful shape. All of the work had been done right the first time (with that long list, I was expecting 'em to miss something, but no... they got it done right). read more

Do yourself a favor and stop by this shop to look at their wall of thank you notes. Import Paint and body has been an institution in the area for some time. I found them via a recommendation from Hendrick Porsche. I have had them repaint a front bumper on a Porsche 911, a rear bumper on an Audi A5, and most recently touch up the bumper on my SUV. I am admittedly extremely detail oriented. There was one time (out of three) that I had something I wasn't satisfied with (bumper on Audi A5, I didn't think the repaint had been polished thoroughly enough) Loren was very quick to rectify it. I believed that service has fizzed out in this great country of ours but every time I have needed body or collision work, Lauren and his crew do it RIGHT! Completely and professionally. STAY AWAY! Loren was highly recommended to me and after I had to have my appointment booked a month in advance, I assumed his work was great and I was looking forward to seeing it. I wanted my tail lights smoked and grills put on the front of my car. Pretty standard stuff. After a couple days of him having my car, he calls and says he can't install the grills. He said he didn't have a way to fasten them on.. And as for the tail lights being smoked, he didn't leave a clear circle in them like we previously agreed on. He just sprayed the whole thing and now the clear lights look yellow and ugly. Then wants to charge $300 like all the work was done and literally yelled and cursed at me after I questioned it. Just a horrible experience. Steer clear of Loren's shop. read more
