From our first meeting, it was clear that Gary was not only an expert at reading the room and curating the perfect soundtrack, but also a natural host who could bring warmth, energy, and personality to every part of the day. As our MC, he kept the timeline flowing effortlessly -- making announcements with just the right mix of professionalism and charisma, engaging our guests, and making sure everyone felt included and in the loop. Their presence was felt in all the best ways -- confident, upbeat, and perfectly in sync with the vibe we wanted. As DJs? Gary and Eddie were absolutely phenomenal. Every song felt intentional, the transitions were flawless, and the dance floor was never empty -- seriously, never! From dinner to the last song of the night, they knew exactly what to play and when, and created such an electric atmosphere that even guests who "never dance" were out there having the time of their lives. Gary and Eddie didn't just play music -- they created a full experience. Our guests are still talking about how fun and smooth everything felt, and we owe so much of that to their talent and heart. If you want someone who will bring the party, keep things running smoothly, and truly get your vision, do yourself a favor and book Gary and Eddie through Rogue Valley DJs. They're the real deal -- and made our wedding night unforgettable!

He was extremely professional, played all the music we wanted and was a great vibe to have around. When he showed up to set up, I honestly didn't know he was even there because he knew who to go to if he had questions about set up, or just figured it out! He helped us stick to our timeline on the wedding day, and also did great adjusting if we wanted to do things differently than we originally planned. He was also flexible with end time (we were having so much fun so we added extra time onto our night!). 10/10 would recommend!

We had booked him for our wedding day this year and we just found out that he was late, dressed messy, hard to reach and acting unprofessional at a wedding at our booked venue. We reached out to kindly say we believe that our dj vision no longer align with his and we would like our $500 dollar deposit back and he has been evading us.So not only has he been ignoring our emails to respectfully respond to us, he will not give us back our money. I'm just so sad because we were looking forward to a wonderful wedding and now we are back to square one with entertainment and out $500.I really urge people DO NOT book with David aka DJ classy unless you want someone who may or may not show up to your wedding or take your deposit money and run for the hills.

We had hip-hop, rap, cumbia's, reggaetón, top 40's, Spanish rock, and everything else I requested. It was mixed beautifully and just flowed one song into another all night. He was great in keeping us on schedule all night. Even when our wedding reception got completely out of control and the fire alarm went off at the Ashland Springs Hotel, David did not miss a beat and continued to keep the party going. Even if it was a real fire (thank god it wasn't!) and the hotel might of been burnt down, David and his equipment would still be standing pumping music! Everyone at our wedding complimented us on how well balanced the night was with music. His set up was top notch with lights, music, and fog. There was never a dull moment and did not have any technical difficulties. We highly recommend David for all your musical needs for your special occasions. David, thank you for helping make our wedding an event we will always cherish and remember.

He played all of the…read moresongs I had requested and was able to fine tune many of the other musical selections based off of what I had given him! Our musical taste is a bit alternative and obscure but he played a variety and kept every guest at our wedding happy and dancing while still including some of the more off-beat songs. Gene was excellent at guiding the reception. He coordinated the toasts, excused tables for the buffet line, and made announcements for all the events that go on during a wedding reception. He checked in with us throughout the night to be sure we were ready for whatever event came next, and respected when we needed more time before we were ready for the first dance, or whatever it was. I read a previous review that said Gene was difficult to work with, and contacted the bride too much that day. This was not at all my experience and in fact I found him really easy to work with the day of the wedding. I had a day of coordinator (highly recommend getting one especially if you're a DIY kind of bride!!!) and he worked seamlessly with her to set up and keep the day running smoothly. If there were issues, I didn't know about them. Additionally, he snapped some photos throughout the night which were a nice addition. All in all Gene was an amazing DJ. Our family and friends have mentioned several times how fun he was and what a great time they had. If you want to have a great dance party and want a DJ who brings the hype then Gene is a great choice.

Gene took requests that were a bit obscure or hard at times, and boom, he had them. He was there on time, there until the very end, and played our music. I've heard stories of DJ's of losing music. Sad! But not our case thankfully. Coming from the perspective of bride and groom however, it was pretty stressful working with Gene. We provided music for the ceremony and dancing. I provided a detailed list of instructions for the ceremony. We had to have 3 different conversations to make sure he got it down right. Then, during the ceremony, he didn't play the bridal March until I was pretty much at the alter. Cool. About 1/2 of our requested play list was played. Maybe this is cuz a lot of guests made requests. If so that's great! If not who knows. We didn't get the few songs we asked to have played during dinner get played. He had a very well put together playlist for dinner. Very low key, easy listening. Not bad at all! It sucked we didn't get any of our stuff added to it. Grateful Dead isn't exactly normal requests, but neither was most of our music, and it's easier to listen to during dinner then to try and dance too. When we said NO other toasts aside from the best man and maid of honor, we meant that. In steps dad- with a toast. We specifically said no toasts because of family! I can appreciate it being hard to say no to family, but it was our request. It should've been respected. When you go over the family to introduce and how, and it's written down, it seems pretty straight forward. So it was SUPER irritating AF when he approached me to ask "I just met Sandy. Should I introduce her too?" Why yes. You should. She's my mother. And first on that list we made together. Where's the list you ask? Right in hand, with Sandy listed at the very top. Hmmm.... When you get texted left and right an hour before the ceremony to say you've got shit to do and no where do it and no idea how to set it up, that's annoying AF. Maybe instead of interrupting the bride and groom hours before their Special moment you could reach out to a groomsmen, owner of venue, worker of the venue that's right there next you. Just a thought though. I know it a new venue for you, but that forethought and consideration would've been nice. We met with Gene twice before the wedding to discuss what we wanted and how we wanted it. It seemed to be hard for Gene to except the fact that we are very nontraditional. No cake cutting. No father daughter dance. Mother daughter dance was novel to him, but he seemed ok with it. How we wanted our reception to go was not traditional, and clearly a bit difficult for him to grasp and be on with. And interspersed thought all of our conversations were his stories of how wonderful his previous weddings had gone, how much people loved him, and he really hoped to get a thank you card from us as well after everything was over. He didn't seem thrilled we wanted him longer then his standard set hours, even though we didn't balk at the additional pricing past his regular packaging. He even told us three separate times he didn't think we'd need him until 10pm for partying. To which I replied every time "Our guests play hard. We will go until 10." I'm no bridezilla. I was super chill about almost everything. But when there's a pattern set regarding standards, following requests, and still getting paid well for it, I got pretty pissed. So be careful. If you've got a low key super straight forward traditional wedding with everything easily accessible and ready at all times for him- and someone to hold his hand- he may work out great for you. I regret not asking my friends to be our DJ though. It was easy enough requests they could've done it. Bottom line: he seemed very ill prepared for the whole thing. We asked twice if we wanted to be at the rehearsal to help, and he said no. So take what we say to heart. And PM me if you've got questions.
