My husband had the catfish and he said it was amazing. The service was friendly and kind. Great southern home cooking at a good price.

Decided on this place after attending a play at the MOH; was in the mood for some "southern"…read morehome-style comfort food. We weren't disappointed in terms of the tastiness of the food. The place is located in a shopping plaza; not a lot of room (only about 5 or 6 tables); quite a few people came in to pick up orders. In any case, I ordered curry chicken and rice with collard greens (cooked in turkey), fried sweet plantains, and a cornbread muffin. My friend had "melt in your mouth" bbq ribs with potato salad and collard greens. The folks seated next to us, with whom we started a conversation, ordered pulled pork, collard greens, and potato salad and fried chicken, yams, and collard greens. We all enjoyed our meals, except I wasn't too crazy about the fried plantains - they were cooked a bit too "crispy" for me and they weren't "juicy." Note, the person at the cash register was very pleasant, super nice and accommodating. The only downfall was that several pesky flies were flying around, and we had to ensure they didn't land on our food! (Hopefully, they were only in the dining area). In any case, I plan to return to sample other items on the menu - the food was really good. Interestingly, there are photos on the wall of various "famous folks" who may have visited Roscoe's in the past (perhaps at a different location).

I have to give some shout outs to the staff that took great care of myself and others. First off, Miss Jimekia helped us immediately and continued service with a great smile while also delivering kindness. Then there was Miss Hollie asking if anyone needed anything, while asking in the most sincere and polite way possible. Which again, I must say is something you rarely see in establishments these day. Last but not least, Miss Meia. Oh my goodness, she went above and beyond to help all customers while keeping that beautiful smile the whole time. I have been in the Hospitality industry for a very long time and is very hard to keep that smile and be nice but she did. Two thumbs up or five stars all the way around

From my first phone call with Mia to the moment we walked out the door, the service was exceptional. Managing a large group of hungry, hot, and thirsty athletes and parents isn't easy, but Mia handled it effortlessly. She stayed on top of everything with a smile and made sure no one was waiting for food, drinks, or anything else. She truly made our experience memorable. The food was just as impressive! I ordered the pork nachos, and they were incredible. My husband loved the ribs and mac & cheese. Around the table, the wings and grits were also huge favorites--but honestly, everyone raved about their meals. Not a single complaint from anyone in our group! The restaurant itself was spacious without being overly loud, making it easy for our large group to enjoy our meal together. Even the restrooms were spotless, and the sparkly countertops were such a fun touch. If you're traveling with a large group, definitely call ahead--and if you can, ask for Mia. She went above and beyond, and I can confidently say you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to come back!

Located in the center of town, there is ample street parking available. The restaurant touts being the oldest running restaurant in Georgia. The decor is quaint and southern. The cafe has been run by the current owner since 2021. The breakfast menu offers egg, hash browns, biscuits, pancakes, French toast, etc. The lunch menu features burgers, chicken salad, a BLT, a Philly cheesesteak, salads, etc. They also offer a weekday lunch buffet, but as we were visiting on a Saturday, we didn't get a chance to try it. Staff were friendly and courteous. It was clear most diners and staff knew one another, being a local restaurant. We were treated well and felt almost like a fascination that us out-of-towners would visit their café. We ordered the Royal Special - two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Your basic breakfast that starts your day right. We also ordered the Bobby Bowl - two eggs, hash browns and crumbled bacon....a lot of bacon. They could have cut the amount of bacon crumble in half. Less than $16 for both entrees. Quitman does not appear to have a lot of breakfast options, but given the longstanding history of this café, pleasant service and good solid breakfast options, I recommend it!
