My house inspector, Todd Arnold re-walked my roof and confirmed my suspicion that the roof needed to be replaced due to some severe storms. I got several bids. With the exception of Gillmeister Roofing, all of the other contractors indicated it would be a 4-6 month wait for shingles. (I wanted Class 4, 30-year OC Weatherguard HP shingles to withstand heat and wind). The Gillmeisters hopped right on ordering the shingles with a prepayment by me. The shingles were received and installed in four weeks from the placement of the order. Wahoooo! While waiting for the shingles to come in, two more high-wind storms passed through, and shingles went flying. Kyle Gillmeister came out and replaced 20 shingles on my roof, to hold me until the new roof could be installed. That was above and beyond. * The crew, led by Hector, came in, did a great job with the removal, sheathing prep, and new shingle install. It was pristine when they were done - it was as if they had never been there. I paid half up front the week they started the work and the other half was due at time of completion. The tile was laid and laid in correctly, leaving bathrooms incomplete, toilets not put back in place. There was thin-set all over the walls, tubs and cabinets. They were hollow and grout was already cracking. The LVP were laid in half of the house with many many errors leaving the floors incomplete and needing to be pulled up completely and relaid. He refused to listen to my concerns and request for repairs. He then left the jobsite on 12/02 and did not return. He refused to finish the work correctly and refused to refund any of my deposit. I am now out cost in labor and extra cost in flooring that I will have to replace. He is also refusing to pay his employees, and leaving my home unliveable. If someone recommends this guy RUN the other way. He does not care nor does he back his work or respect the homeowners property. He left trash all over my house and my yard, cutting wood INSIDE my home leaving dust and wood piece on the ground laying wood floor over it. I will tell everyone about how horrible he is not only as a contractor but as an employer and human being.
