The food is really very good. I'm spoiled as I've lived in several areas (San Francisco and Washington, DC) with spectacular Chinese food, but this is my favorite place in Rochester. Hmm where do I start. Let's start with the fact that they have a 10 year old(ish) boy and a 5 year old(ish) girl running the front the house including the cash register. Amazing! We have been in Rochester for a month. I have tried one other Chinese restaurant. We came from Connecticut. This is better than any place in CT. Well, there is one Chinese restaurant about a half-hour drive from us in CT that is as good. But this is GREAT food. And they deliver. Very satisfied!!! Good late-night option when traveling through Rochester. It is different from most Chinese restaurants, but the food was excellent especially for the price and portion sizes. The restaurant itself is small and we preferred to get delivery. It's absolutely worth trying at least once, you may like the different style of food. I've done carry out here many times. It's never been spectacular but it's close to home. But I stopped in to pick up dinner last week and I'll never go back. Here's why. The woman that seems to always be there is a first class b. Not customer skills at all, but I've tolerated it because of the convenience. I have no idea what was going on this time, but when I got there to pick up my order, I walked in the door and the place just reeked of old oil. It really stunk. Don't know if the exhaust hood wasn't working or not. But I got home and tried the food and other than the white rice my entree was so oily I couldn't even eat it. $12 + went in the trash can. Look up "utility Chinese fast food" in a dictionary and you'll find something like Imperial Wok. Typical of the Chinese food served at mall food courts throughout the US, you get oily food, deep fried meat drowned in heavy, starch-laden sauces that make you want to nap afterwards, and maybe a sore throat from what I suspect is MSG. Sadly this is what many people may think Chinese food tastes like. My 2nd order from Imperial Wok was very similar to the first. I was sick and couldn't cook or leave the house for food, so their extremely easy online ordering/delivery really saved the night. Amazing delivery and average food. The order: Wonton Soup - 2.5/5. It was orange... so a little different from what I'm used to. The wontons were good and the hot soup really hit the spot. Chicken & Broccoli - 3.5/5. Great fresh florets of broccoli. The chicken was a little chewy (probably a cheap cut of meat), but overall a good dish. Combined with white rice, the dish sat well on on upset stomach. Chicken Wings - 4/5 I added them to the order to get it up to $15 for delivery and ate them 2 days later. They are the only place in town that sells brown rice which is my staple! It takes too long to fix at home so I always order large and freeze the left over for next week. I like their chicken noodle soup. It comes with long wide noodles and a side of crispy noodles. The chicken broth is tasty too! I like their hot and sour soup as well. Sometimes I add it into my chicken noodle soup for a change up or I may add some of my brown rice to it. So good so far. Get the chicken wings they are tasty and a good value! I've ordered from here numerous times without issues, and today ordered an orange chicken, general tsos, and Szechuan chicken. The general tsos was definitely made as orange chicken and I received two orange chicken instead of what I asked for. When I called to complain, the OWNER sat there and argued with me and very blatantly, without using the word, insinuated that I'm a liar despite me explain to him numerous times that it was wrong. THE OWNER ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT GETTING THE ORDER WRONG. Like, what? Then he passed the phone to the delivery employee who was very sweet and tried to make things right, but the only thing she could do was replace the order or come take and credit it back. We asked for egg rolls as compensation and they said no. There was no leeway to make this right and the owner was EXTREMELY disrespectful and argumentative. Yes, I know it is a small store front in a strip mall, and it has nothing going for it in terms of atmosphere. I ordered the food through Grubhub at work, and found a bone in my sesame chicken. I was disgusted so I threw the food away, later when I was able to call, like I said I was at work, so I couldn't call right away, anyway when I called and told them, the guy on the phone said I had no right to throw away the food, and that I have to bring the food back if I want a refund. That is ridiculous. I bought food and expected it to not have bone in it, and when I call and tell them they yell at me and he just kept saying that I had no right to throw the food away. Like I'm sorry, that it was disgusting and made me loose my appetite. He basically made it seem like I had to dig it out of the trash and bring it back to get a refund. This was my third time eating from here. First, I had standard American fare and was disappointed. Next, I tried the beef with Chinese vegetables. Better but it was still as far away from real Chinese food as Rochester is from Beijing. Today, I begged to see if they could make something real for me. They were really hesitant too, it almost seemed controversial to them, but I was rewarded with a wonderful meal. Basically it was steamed beef with a light garlic sauce. The vegetable was informally called Chinese spinach. The quality is on par with some of the places we are in Beijing when we traveled there a few years back. If they had it one the menu, I would eat it weekly. I will be back and begging for more. read more

Since this place has opened It has been quite the comfort of getting it delivered to where I work. It is hard for me to get away from my desk and seak a quick bite to eat.
