Princess delight and Mo Shu Chicken were great. A little bit pricier than expected $9.25 and $8.25, but great service and food came out quickly. read more

Had a sweet & sour chicken and shrimp, with egg roll appetizer. Shrimp tasted old (fishy) and sauce was very sweet and spices were less than desirable. Food was warm as if it was kept in a warmer and not made to order. Egg rolls were more like spring rolls. No customer service to fix a poor review, upon letting server know the food was so - so and I'm not taking home leftovers - he replied, "let me get your check." Do not recommend- read more

Fun place to eat. Service can be hit or miss. Food is closest to real Chinese if you order from the secondary exclusive menu. If you don't have Chinese friend with you ask for the menu and order two or three cuisine and don't forget rice. Enjoy China! read more

I'm pretty content with this place! The staff is friendly and I have absolutely no complaints about the food. The decor is pretty cool too! One of my top 3 Chinese places in Lincoln. read more

I have been going to IP for over 20 years, but the place has been decaying for the last 10 or so. The food is stale and the vegetables taste rancid. We (party of three) had fried rice with our dinners and it tasted like it was a day old. It is no wonder that Saturdays is now available only for weddings, they can't attract enough customers. read more

I don't even know where to begin. This is the 1st review I've EVER left ANYWHERE. . . The Tso's Chicken was so slimy and soggy it was inedible. The Crab Rangoon had little to no cream cheese or filling and my wife's Low Mein was shit. We also got the Egg Rolls and they were like eating a Birds nest. Actually, it probably was a birds nest. $25 down the drain. We literally closed everything up put it back in the bag like it was fresh and set it outside. The best part about it was that our cat played with the sack and enjoyed himself. So that's something I guess.. There are so many hole in the wall Chinese places that will leave you fat and happy that it honestly astonishes me Lincolnites still support this 'restaurant'. Enter at your own risk. Like Ew! read more

We live in Omaha and have to drive down to Lincoln every time we want great Chinese food. Well worth the drive! Best Chinese food in Nebraska! The Sesame Chicken and the Chicken Lo Mein are excellent. The service is sometimes sub par but the food definitely over shines it. read more

Actually pretty good Chinese food. If you like spicy you'll like this, it is a suisan specialty place. Most of the servers are Chinese though so you'll have to be patient with them! read more

Do not miss this great gem in Lincoln! The food and service are great. The menu offers many options, including vegetarian & gluten free items that cater to even the pickiest eater. The staff is very friendly and can help explain the menu. The crab rangoons, fried rice and lemon chicken can't be missed. The dishes with Chinese charters on the side are authentic Chinese cuisine and are perfect for those who are looking for an authentic dining experience. read more

Ordered the Kung Pao beef. Water chestnuts, chewy bamboo sprouts and chewy beef. No spice. No peanuts. Thrown together. Nearly broke a molar on something. Not impressed. Won't go back. The pho places near here are a much better choice. read more

As a native Lincolnite I can't speak to this place's Chinese authenticity, but I do know it's delicious. Speedy delivery and consistently great food. If you're looking for the best American Chinese in town and maybe the region, Imperial Palace is your place. They also have an extensive traditional Chinese menu that I've loved trying, but I always come back to the sesame chicken. I have friends who've moved here from other parts of the country, and they always love Imperial Palace. read more

We had reservations, a person from our party asked if it was under my last name, then they asked if they were Chinese??? (no we are not) After awhile we were seated by someone else and ordered. 30min latter they bring out the rice, 5 min latter we ask when we will be receiving our food, 5 min latter we get the food. They said they had a lot of take out orders which was why or food was delayed so long. Really?? Do I care about the take out orders? In the time we were seated and served a dozen or so people cam in and picked up food. There was hardly anyone there too. I have never felt welcomed when I have eaten there and will never eat here again! read more

Decent chinese food, not as good as I hopede it will be. I came here more than once, but the food was not full of flavors as I expect chinese food to be. read more

Their food is mediocre. I can't tell you that I prefer other restaurants than this place. They started to get really arrogant because they have a good business in catering for weddings. The waitress didn't seem to care about us and more worried about being right. I will never ever go back to this place and I will not give this place a good rating. read more

A nice Chinese restaurant. Food there are real Chinese ones. Some of them are of course modified a little bit to fit Americans. After all it is a nice place worth to go. read more

My husband and I go here for lunch frequently and have tried many of the menu items. I liked nearly everything. The sauces for the foods are varied, so be sure to review the description of the dish to get the one you prefer. My favorite is the Princess Chicken as it is spicy and has a brown sauce with lower calorie count. My husband likes the Sweet and Sour Pork and it is my second choice. The lunch is served with rice, a cup of soup (hot and sour is our favorite.) 2 crab rangoons or an egg roll, hot tea, and a fortune cookie. For all of that the price is currently under $6. I nearly always have to ask for a box to take home as the servings are more than I can eat. I highly recommend the restaurant and the décor is great as well as the service. Dinners are more and there is more food. read more

I think I go here often enough to call myself a regular. The food is always really good. My favorites are the peanut butter chicken, General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli among others. The hot and sour soup here is some of the best I have had. The service is always excellent. We like to go there on the weekends for lunch when you cannot beat the price ($6.50 for soup, crab Rangoon and your fairly large entré). If you are looking for excellent Chinese food, at an excellent price, with great service this is the best place to go in Lincoln. read more

This food is terrible, I ordered the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and they both were nearly inedible. The chicken used in both were noticeably poor cuts of meat and were prepared very poorly. I have had significantly better Chinese food at mall food courts that costed me half as much. All in all I am very disappointed that I wasted $20 on a meal that I was so disgusting that I couldn't finish it. read more

Absolutely one of the best places in lincoln. The food is delicious, service is good and take out is ready in ten minutes. The prices are reasonable $8 a meal for supper. They have awesome lunch specials. Obviously a lot of people in the area doesn't have very good taste when all the buffet restaurants have a four + star rating. I guess if touching spoons after several people who don't wash their hands and eating food that has sat out is your thing then you probably will not like this place. They use fresh ingredients. read more

Ordered delivery while visiting the state. Not very good. Kung Pao chicken, crab rangoons, and hot and sour soup. The chicken was easily the worst I've had. 3 ingredients in there chicken, water chestnuts, and bamboo. Not an expert but I thought there was more. One measly pepper in there also. The sauce was some clear liquid only palatable by dumping in sweet and sour sauce. Rangoons were fine and the hot and sour soup needs more soy sauce. Most of these places are standard stuff standard food. In my opinion this one was very below average. read more

Great for quick sitdown lunch. Good food and quick service. Things are a little dated and wore out, but I don't go there for the decor.

Good food - the best we've found in Lincoln so far. We moved from Kansas City earlier this spring and nothing beats Bo Lings there. But here, no luck so far. We had the General Tso's Chicken - so good! - and the Kung Pao Chicken - not good at all (almost no sauce and no peanuts). The crab ragoon were great, light and airy instead of thick and heavy. We'll definitely be ordering again, but next time, I'll try something different than the Kung Pao. read more

So. The food is usually good. However.... When we ordered our food online, we put in special instructions under the crab Rangoon, the egg rolls, and at the end of the order that we wanted hot mustard. Yes, 3 different places. Do I have hot mustard? Nope. Sure don't. In fact I didn't get any sauce for my crab Rangoon or my egg rolls at all. My husband Kung pow chicken was the worst he's ever had. No flavor and it smelled awful. The egg rolls were missing a very important ingredient, or it was so scarse you couldn't taste it, ginger... Where's the ginger??? Egg roll tasted like watery grease. Yuk. Makes me want to take my business elsewhere, I mean really, that is just inept. It was even on the ticket that we wanted the mustard. Now my husband has to leave again while the food gets cold for hot mustard. It's not that hard to read and then double check all things requested are included. Napkins would be nice too... Maybe some chop sticks to eat with... read more

Ok, the "American Chinese" menu is standard, but the "Other" menu is unbelievable. Thebeef in hot oil is excellent, as is the ma pa dofu and the szechaun green beans. Truly excellent Chinese food for Nebraska. Also, the owner is very nice and gave us some szechuan peppercorns to take home. Highly recommended for real, good Chinese. read more

I used to go here as a kid, and it was one of the best restaurants in town. We came here while visiting my mom, and we couldn't believe how far downhill it's gone. The beef in the broccoli beef was so chewy it was nasty. The potstickers were equally poor in consistency, though the flavor was ok. The one redeeming dish was the green beans. While my homemade recipe is better, they were decent. I haven't tried other Chinese restaurants in Lincoln, but I certainly won't be back to this one. read more

Great Chinese food! Ordered multiple dishes and was satisfied with all of them. Service was great!! Very reasonably priced!

Authentic Chinese food. Special Chef's menu, which changes frequently. Always surprised to find new dishes. Everything is excellent, comparable quality to the best Chinese restaurants in east and west coasts. The only downhill is the room decoration, which is kind of old and requires renovation. read more

This is one of the few great Chinese restaurants in Lincoln. The food is great and comes with a great price. Excellent sesame chicken with a delicious sauce.. Yum ! The decor and tables could use some updating, and the lighting. could definitely be brighter. read more

I love this restaurant! The service is good, the wait staff is always pleasant and the hot food is hot, cold food is cold. If you want a more authentic flavor ask for the white menu. These are authentic dishes however some may be too spicy for American taste buds. read more

I have been a customer of Imperial Palace for about 35+ years, since coming to Lincoln for college. When Stan and his wife were there, it was always a high quality, great customer service experience. In the last few years, that has not been the case. The last couple of times I've gotten take out, something was missing and I didn't realize it til I was home, of course. The last few times we've eaten there, the service was extremely poor. Last Friday was my worst experience EVER. There were four of us, we ordered and got our appetizer quickly, and then we waited, and we waited, and we waited. Meanwhile, two tables that were seated after us got their food. Finally, got our rice, and then waited and waited some more. First two of our four meals come out. Another 5 minutes go by and 1 more meal comes out. Another 10 minutes later our fourth person was served her meal, 15 minutes after the first 2 got theirs. WITH NO APOLOGY or EXPLANATION. When I asked what the delay was, I was told "lots of deliveries tonight". I am sorry, but deliveries should come AFTER you are serving the customer who has taken the time to come to your restaurant. To me, this was unacceptable. I doubt that we will be back, sorry to say. There are certainly lots of Chinese restaurants in this town and I will bring my business to the ones who appreciate me as their customer. read more

Szechuan menu is the best in town. Just make sure you order from the authentic Szechuan part of the menu. The rest is generic Americanized Chinese food. I eat here at least every two weeks if not more often. The green beans, authentic Kung Pow and beef in red hot oil are some of my favorites, but there are loads of other great things on the menu. Don't fool yourself into thinking this is the same restaurant it was 10 yrs ago. Since they started doing the more authentic food a few years back your starting to see the Asian community eat here more often. Go with a group and eat family style and you won't be sorry. read more

Never again! My husband and I went here to order takeout for a family dinner. We ordered and sat down to wait and wait. A box of food was brought out and everyone working there walked past us and it for 10 minutes. My husband went up and finally asked and the guy that took our order said"that's not yours" and walked off. A bag is brought out and again ignored. After a bit my husband went up and had to flag someone down. He grudgingly threw some fortune cookies in the bag and shoved it at my husband. We were sorry we seem to have put them to so much trouble. I'd love to say the food was good, believe me, but it was really nasty. The Kung Pao chicken had no sauce, peanuts or any vegetables , it tasted like dishwater and looked horrible. Potstickers, eww icky. Lo mein was incredibly tasteless and over cooked. I won't go any further. Yuk ,yuk, yuk, don't do it. read more

Great food, good prices. The waitresses however, are not very friendly. My complaint is that in July when its very hot out, they bring you warm cans of pop! Yes, they put ice in the glass, but warm pop melts the ice very quickly then you just have warm pop. Come on owners, this is America we love cold drinks and expect the cans and bottles to be cold from the start. read more
