Went to a screening of Oppenheimer at the IMAX HQ, and had the MAXIMUM amount of fun. The lobby was decorated in an elegant holiday bliss of blues, and definitely brought with it that holiday cheer! The movie itself was immaculate, and though I had seen the film before, it was so intense and other worldly in the IMAX theater. Will definitely be back for another screening. A massive thank you to the host and staff for being attentive and kind.

Beautiful, clean theatre for FYC screenings in IMAX format. Just wish the screen was larger. lol Gender neutral bathrooms and complimentary parking and snacks/beverages for FYC events. Friendly staff and organized check in with vacc'd check.

Me and a +1 were invited for the Fast X private screening event this week. The event was chill with music, food and some green screen fun. All of the staff were courteous and friendly. Parking was right next to the IMAX HQ. The lobby was modern and open spaced. Loved viewing the posters on the walls. The screen looked like it was about 3 stories tall. I'm not exactly sure. Thank goodness for popcorn!!! I haven't watched a movie without munchies and was surprised to see those stacked popcorn bags. It was fun to watch with the crowd. Overall the staff did a great job in entertaining and hosting us.

For my 1000th review (Finally!) I am dedicating it to the IMAX Corporation Headquarter in Playa Del Rey. It is brand new, 3 story, and have 2 screening rooms, offices, production facilities for moviemakers. I was lucky among a few others that were invited here for an intimate screening. It is a small IMAX theaters that holds about 60-70 people max per screening room. The clarity in sound and the view of the IMAX screen are almost to perfection. Leather seats and lots of leg room. You feel like you're at an IMAX theater, if not even better experience. The office is modern and chic. The heart of the building is there is an interior amphitheater under a skylight. The area is used as the hub of the facility where employees can interact with their clients or with their colleagues during work hours. This area seems to accommodate impromptu gatherings and special events held by the company. Other than occasional screenings, and special events this theater is for viewing purposes for the celebrities, moviemakers, and producers/directors before the final movie goes out in the market. We were told that Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and other A-listed industry people have been numerous times for the final viewing of the movie before it goes out to the movie market.

This place is awesome. I was one of a lucky few to be invited to watch a screening of Mission In Impossible Rogue nation and I felt really special watching it at this state of the art theater. This is a private screening facility which is used by most movie studios for directors and staff of movie companies to watch at pre screen upcoming movies. The inside has only around 50-60 seats in total so its really a small theater but the movie screen is still really big for such a small audience. The sound system is of course IMAX certified so everything is state of the art and every pin drop in the movie can be heard. The seats are all new and very comfortable so its a real pleasure watching a un released movie first in a IMAX corporate offices private movie theater. I had a great time and I would definitely go back if I am ever invited again for another movie screening.

What an amazing experience! This is the actual IMAX corporation, and I was lucky enough to see a screening of a movie in 3D. The screening room seats about 100. The seats are comfortable, with lots of leg room and at the perfect pitch. Even though the room was fairly small, the screen was still basically ceiling to floor. The acoustics and picture quality were, of course, state of the art. Watching an IMAX movie here was actually better than in a conventional movie theater.

WOW! Saw the Magnificent 7 here and felt like I was in the movie! The screen was huge/tall and the seats were set up like we were on a steep mountainside. It's also freezing in there so bring a sweater and socks and shoes. I saw the film a few days later at the Imax theater in Ontario Mills and it wasn't the same? I felt like they didn't utilize the whole screen at the Edwards at Ontraio Mills, but great film none-the-less!

It's been a long time since I've been to the movies, especially a place like this. I've been to…read morethis type of luxury theatre many years ago and it's definitely a good way to treat yourself. My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

The first-floor lobby had no seating at all, despite the theater branding itself as a luxury, comfort-focused experience. I politely asked if I could sit for a few minutes in the empty restaurant seating area, which was completely unused at the time, and was repeatedly told no due to "policy." While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

First, Max, the manager, and Zoe at Guest Services were both incredibly helpful and kind. They exchanged my tickets without making me forfeit the service/ticketing fees, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, my girlfriend accidentally tripped and spilled her wine, and the bartender immediately refilled her glass with no questions asked. That level of customer service really stood out. The theater seats were also extremely comfortable, and the popcorn was great! Unfortunately, my experience with Fandango itself was very frustrating. It was extremely important for me to see "Obsession" on opening weekend because my son, Grayson, was the First AD on the film, and his producing partner and best friend from film school, Hayley, was the Line Producer. I believed I had purchased three advance tickets for "Obsession," but when I went to retrieve the tickets from my email, I discovered I had somehow been issued tickets for "Is God Is," which started only 15 minutes later. When I tried to resolve the issue through Fandango customer service, the process was very time-consuming. Even though all of the purchase information should already have been available in their system, I was required to repeatedly provide details including the theater name, movie title, showtime, and purchase amount before I could even speak to a live representative. The representative eventually offered to refund the three incorrect tickets, but stated it could take approximately 14 days for the refund to appear in my account. While I understand processing delays happen, I was disappointed that Fandango would not refund the service/ticketing fees associated with the mistaken purchase. I truly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the theater staff, who helped salvage the evening despite the issues caused by Fandango.

Look for parking on P2 near the SE corner, walk up six steps and hang a left after the restaurant (Namoo KBBQ). Free parking but most spots are compact and it's narrow in general. Wear layers bc it can get cold. Also in the theater, there's some sound bleed and a lot of ambient light from the giant dine in call buttons (can those be dimmed?). I wear earplugs but that's me and my tinnitus, although the music does seem loud. If everyone reclines, you may have a clear view of the screen from any seat!
