A drug testing collection center with local offices in New York City. In hopes for a better and…read moresecured future, I was designated to dispose bodily fluids into a cup to disclose any foreign substances withheld. I have none-- HONESTLY! Under a watchful eye a testing collector oversaw my every move from entering the premise, removing all personal belongings, turning out pockets, pre-washing hands, entering the restroom, placing the specimen on the table, post-washing hands, and including watching the collector drop the specimen into two separate test tubes. Whoa! I have done a drug test for a previous employment, but I have never witnessed a test collector who placed the specimen into cassette tubes and then package. All specimen are sent to Quest Diagnostics, a leading U.S. laboratory analysis with multiple locations. Upon entering premises the air is whiff with the acrid odor of urine. Signature and valid photo identification are required. All exams are by appointment only in conjunction with the collection site and the employer without regards to the candidate's schedule. Thankfully, testing collectors do not have the legal right to do a TSA airport style "pat down" but only to instruct candidates to turn out pockets. Ahhh, I felt like it was a interrogation for a criminal investigation!! Despite of the overall ordeal interrogation, the collector was professional amid doing her job as she was not curt, nor abrasive, and not dismissive with her tone. I went to the Downtown Civic Center site at 160 Broadway in New York City which is located in the lobby.

The staff is super helpful and the clinics are clean! I had a great experience here and the staff…read morewere extremely professional.

My sister was critically ill and hospitalized about 15 days in two different wards in the month of…read moreOctober, but died in another facility. I did not have much contact with staff as I was from out of town and another family member was in charge, we were visiting from hours away. While visiting, I observed that on her instructions to staff that she needed to be fed (she could not hold a fork). On two occasions during my visit and during a phone call, I saw and heard that she informed the servers she was unable to eat her meal and asked for help. She was ignored. She had lost considerable weight over timeand frail but sitting up and conscious. Another family member and I also noted her fingernails were black from trying to eat food with her fingers. I believed her nails were not cleaned and we had to do it twice ourselves when we had a chance. I had spoke with a staff member about the problem but the neglect never changed from what I could understand. The day before her discharge I tried to call the floor nurse and social worker from out of town but no one answered their phone. I finally asked the switch board for the ombudsman and I reported the problem. He seemed more worried about the hygiene instead of the fact that my sister was being starved. This was supposed to be a quality hospital but as a health care professional I was appalled at the level of basic care. Candace Saint (703) 801:-

Westchester Medical Center is an absolutely terrible hospital. It's the only trauma center in…read moreWestchester County and it's by far among the worst places. I wish someone would develop another trauma center because the medical care here is terrible. I pray that the terrible people are all replaced and they receive divine retribution for their lack of compassion. I want to highlight two particular people- nurse Margaret and Glenn from the second Medical ICU. They're exceptionally rude individuals, who makes me wonder why they would ever become a nurses. Because they have such poor bedside manners. My mother in law is passing away and these two nurses on the second floor won't let the family be with her. We just want to sit beside our mom, and these two nasty nurses are big on having a power trip on removing people who just want to stay by their mother's bedside when she's unresponsive. The audacity of these people. They said that my mother-in-law is not "actively dying", meaning they didn't pull the plug, so they' fought us on staying with her! Imagine your mom passing away and not letting the family stay by her side. DONT COME HERE.
