Disappointing Experience with HOA Construction Teams I feel it is imperative to share the disappointing experience we've had with your construction company during the fire restoration of my mother's condo. Fire Restoration Project: In March 2025, my mother's condo suffered severe fire damage. The kitchen was destroyed, and the property needed extensive cleaning, restoration and repainting. The condo association insists on being in charge - utilizing contractors, assigning a PM and an estimator, all of their own choosing. The estimator then delivered a shocking timeline: at least a full year for renovation. What should have been a speedy recovery turned into ongoing frustration. As of January 2026, after endless hassles, the work is complete. The following is an account of the incompetence we endured the past 10 months: 1. Perpetual Delays: While we understood that proper channels needed to be followed and permits needed to be obtained and approved, work didn't start until late June, three months after the fire. 2. Careless Temperature Setting: During July and August, workers irresponsibly set the AC to 52 degrees, disregarding my instructions to feel free to use AC during work hours, but to please set it to 78 when leaving. This not only risked the AC condenser seizing but also led to us incurring higher utility expenses. 3. Atrocious Tile Job: The tile flooring installed in the front of the condo was misaligned throughout, forcing the floor to be torn up and redone. 4. Granite Countertop Fail: Without any consultation, a seam was placed dead center on the countertop right in front of the sink, the most visible spot in the kitchen. The smaller piece of granite on the island wasn't even attached to the underlying cabinetry. 5. Refrigerator Debacle: Due to negligence in pushing the refrigerator in on time, we crossed the return window and had to unnecessarily buy another one. 6. Dishwasher Failure: The dishwasher installation left a drawer misaligned. The attempt to fix it resulted in a powerless appliance. 7. Bathroom tile: White caulking (where none was before) was placed on top of brown molding tile. 8. Botched Hardware Installation: Pre-drilling hardware holes on drawer faces, without knowing the specifics of what hardware was purchased, led to an eyesore of poorly patched holes. 9. Careless Workmanship: Damaged floor vents, mismatched wall plates, and reckless behavior like leaving windows open and the sliding glass door unlocked. This experience was highlighted by poor communication, and blatant disregard for quality and customer satisfaction. It took three rounds of punch lists to rectify their careless work. Summary: Your company's performance was shameful. Your team exhibited neglect, and a complete lack of responsibility, causing us undue stress and financial burden. This entire ordeal has left us not only frustrated but deeply disappointed in the service provided. read more

I live in the Greens. Close to 26 years. The condo association has always been in. A work in progress. Imagineers in the last. 5 years or so. Have greatly improved. Our location. However, it's still a comedy of errors with accounting. And a board. Who has no Qualifications in construction? Yeah, they are in control of all the permits. On heaters. Central air. Are any repairs needed? I guess it's no different than any other HOA. read more

SHAME on Imagineers PRESENT team at Fox Hill Condominiums phase 2, in Ridgefield Ct. With few exceptions, they are a slum team. I've owned this property for almost 20 yrs. Since this new team has taken over approximately 6 years ago, so many of us have had serious issues that have been dangerously unattended to and have responded in extreme retaliation and unfounded harassment to those who've requested service for situations that have resulted in serious health consequences to some. read more

They were pretty decent with paying regularly until they tried cheating us out of their contracted portion of the rent. We fought both situations (first when account information was updated but not applied for 2 months and another when they held their contracted portion for failure to make renovations even though they never notified us), won, and they wouldn't pay us late fees because, "they don't pay late fees," even though they were several weeks late both times. Spoke to a supervisor this morning about a concern i was having about why i wasn't accepted into an apartment when i stayed close to the payment standard for the amount of bedrooms i was requesting. Normally when i speak to tessa she is calm and informative but today she was rude and had a disgusting tone. She acused me of yelling at her which i would never do. I had my phone on speaker and i have a 7 month old who is teething in the background. I have noise canceling on my phone she may not have heard my baby but i was just trying to speak over the noise that he was doing. Yes i am frustrated about not qualifying for the unit because i really wanted it and that fact that they dont help us to understand what amount we should stay under or above doesnt help. I simply go by the information on thier website. Imagineers has always been so rude to people i never understand the hate for people on the program. I was only granted 1650 for a 3 bedroom apartment. The payment standard for bristol is 2098 or 2200 depending on the zip code i guess. Once they calculate how much my monthly bill is and i dont know how they can just assume my bills are 500.00 that deemed me not eligible for the apartment. I dont understand the methods that they use. I feel like this system is made to keep me in a bad neighborhood when I'm just simply trying to live in a decent space. read more

This company operates their business devoid of scruples, ethics, and integrity. It is no wonder the property managers do such a poor job when their supervisors who serve as their role models are no better, if not worse. There are countless horrible reviews on various sites but they don't come close to actually portraying how bad this property management company is. One of the higher ups actually had the audacity to post on a popular review site that they managed our community for five years when he full well knew it was only three years. Incredibly unresponsive company. I purchased a unit in Talcott Glen a few months ago with my daughter, a dental student. We have had issues with the ancient AC system not working ever since. My sense is that they will spend as little $$ as possible even when it is necessary despite the very high monthly HOA fees we pay. It did not take long to figure out how awful this company is. All I can say is that you will have to fight like hell to get anything done properly. I am going to withhold my HOA fee until my situation gets resolved properly. The homeowners in this complex need better representation on the board to force them to better respond to our issues. read more

My condo development is presently under their management. I put in a request one month ago about a plugged gutter that is spilling over into the foundation and at times into my basement. They tell me they'll get to this when they have people out here. what a stupid answer, and at the next board meeting I will be there to advocate the change from Imaginaires to another management company who is a little more attentive to our needs read more

Had a condo in Watertown, CT, Artillary Hills, they are unresponsive, and manage the condo fees terribly, my house stayed in two different colors for outside paint for year and half, the up keep is terrible and I was paying 500.00 a month when I sold they increased another 100.00... #worstcompany ever ... had to chose one star for a rating they are in the negative!!! they don't deserve any stars for sure!!... weeds everywhere, tennis courts full of mold. read more

I want to extend my thanks to the entire imagineers construction team and their leadership. I used imagineers for my kitchen and bathroom remodel and for painting my entire home. They did an amazing job! Imagineers is not just a property management company, they also have a construction division. The construction division is completely separate from the property management division. The construction crew are professional, they work quickly without sacrificing quality, they clean up after their work, are meticulous, and the finished product is stunning! The crew are very talented and best of all they are very nice people. I'm extremely grateful to have had such wonderful professionals complete my home renovation project. I've received so many great compliments from my friends and family and I'd use them again in a heartbeat! read more

These folks are the WORST!!! Stay away from any apartment complex or condo community they are managing! They are not only NOT RESPONSIVE, they cut every corner they can! For a simple re0set of an air conditioning unit they took 4 days in sweltering heat--despite repeated calls and emails. These are the worst I've seen.... and that's saying a lot! I would give them a -5 star rating if I could. The staff is unresponsive for weeks you have to call them to remind them that they owe you a response. They do not know the bylaws of your community. They do not respond to any requests via phone or in writing I have sent 75 emails to them just to see when they will respond and they never have! Agree with the last couple of reviewers. They employees don't answer inquiries in a timely manner, if at all. They act surprised when you point out that an issue has been outstanding for weeks. Interoffice communication is poor based on my experience. The employees clearly don't have any incentive to be helpful or innovative. If I were on the board of my condo association I would start preparing an RFP and find a replacement. read more

Not good. I never get a response when I send an email with a question or a concern or problems at the residence, which has happened many times over the year. My roof needed work for several years and I never got a response or a general timeframe for when it would be fixed. I've been with the association for 15 years and they threatened to fine me $25 a month if I don't sign a paper saying I live there, when nothing has changed. The CT grill laws say detached one- and two- family dwellings and "multiple single-family dwellings attached side-by-side (townhouse) not more than three stories in height with each dwelling having a separate means of egress are exempted, which is mine but they still say it is against CT law just so everything can be uniform. No consistency, non effective board that works with them, on and on.... read more

Imagineers has been providing the Crossings Property Management Service for 30 years. I am a board memeber & have found this company amazing.They are quick to respond to problems efficiently & take a personal interest to satisfy our unit owners. They are well versed in the law and provide excellent advise when difficult situations arise. They also have excellent resources and skilled staff both in the office and resolving maintance issues. The staff in the Hartford office has been both uncooperative and unprofessional in settling a book keeping dispute. Securing copies of the cleared checks as requested I was unable to get a meeting to review our conflict. I am 65 yrs old, I've made repeated phone calls, offered dates to meet to no avail. I have limits to the time frame I can meet and have expressed that repeatedly. For almost a month I have moved forward believing this could be settled due to the fact that the "new girl" said so. I have been working with this agency since 1993 the team at Imagineers is amazing they are a top notch group of professionals in all areas especially with their Section 8 program and we have never had an issue getting paid timely. I have dealt with many other Housing Authorities, agencies and/or programs over the years and they are by far the best with what they do....The inspection team is excellent and works with you with problematic residents. To have such a great team it starts at the top all of the senior staff is also excellent at what they do and they are well versed with the program requirements.
