Several years ago when an orthopedic Dr told me I would need to have surgery to release pressure on my ulnar nerve I went to John and he was able to correct the problem. No surgery. Hurt my shoulder weight lifting, it burned in my whole arm and could barely do anything with it. Went to Imagine PT on recommendation of a friend. Working with Aplsey four sessions and did my home exercises, stretch bands. Also laid off the weights for two weeks. MRI said tendonopathy and moderate arthritis. I hate advanced middle age. After treatments and stretches felt completely better. Played golf again without any pain and back to weight lifting. Awesome people. If you are serious about trying to heal an injury, then Imagine Therapy is the right place to go to. I went to a neurosurgeon to look at lower back paint that i was having. They recommended I take the PT route and I talked to the doctor and she recommended by looking at where I lived and who had the highest ratings and Imagine Therapy was ranked very High. From day one when I had very limited mobility in my lower back, Aaron my PT along with John the owner developed a set of exercises that I could do at home and also used acupuncture and ultrasound. They both told me that I really just had some muscle issues and that I needed to loosen up my legs and lower back muscles. In one week of going three times, I was able to move a lot better and able to gain more flexibility because of the stretching. In three weeks I was able to really see the progress as my balance and strength in my lower back were no longer a problem that I couldn't control by stretching. I am happy that I went to a highly rated PT in Mount Pleasant. Need help and some therapy call Imagine and you will not have to imagine about feeling good again, as it will be the real thing. If I knew people would read a 1000 word review here, I would have no problem writing it. Imagine Therapy is fantastic. I've not slept well for over a year. I would wake up just about every night after 5 to 6 hours of sleep due to back pain that would come on while sleeping. I tried just about everything from pain killers, sleep aid (Doctor Prescribed) to massage therapy. Nothing worked. I've heard about how awesome Imagine Therapy is from clients of mine for years, but completely forgot about it until recently when I had another client remind me. After the very first visit, I slept through the night and haven't woken up since with back pain! Hallelujah! The people that work there are super friendly, the place itself has a great vibe and is very welcoming. If you have a body part that is ailing you, then don't wait. This is THE place for you. My daughter moved to SC with a very bad back. She was seeing a PT at home everyday for 2-3 weeks and was not getting better. We were nervous that we would not get good care in SC. Well, we were pleasantly surprised!! Sam, a PT at IMAGINE, brought my daughter back to health within 2 visits. I sat in on the first appointment with Sam and was very impressed by his knowledge, schooling and care he gave to my daughter. Sam gave my daughter different exercised than what she was doing and also tried dry needling on her, which she never had. She started feeling much better very quickly. We cannot thank Sam enough for his care and knowledge. My daughter was starting a new job and we were afraid she wasn't going to be able to. Well, she did start on time and has been feeling great! This is a huge venue aligned with The Park West, Fitness O2, Good Parking lot behind the office which is shared with the fitness center & depending on time of day can be very very busy. The Office Staff are great & very accommodating considering I had a small window of opportunity to be seen by a PT on a Friday afternoon. They fit me in. It is a very busy place and I saw Joe. Joe is just fantastic, an educator to the uneducated, apprehensive patient in the world of Physical Therapy. I cannot believe that he spent a complete 45 min assessing my area of concern to ensure he was 100% accurate in the area that needed work. He could have just taken the assessment of the Primary Care Dr. who wrote her assessment on the referral note, but he did not. His knowledge, skill and kindness was nothing short of exceptional. The doctor came out of a three hour surgery and told my husband; "It was really a mess we put a lot of metal in and she will be lucky if she can brush her teeth with that arm." I started physical therapy after 12 days with Dusty and John from Imagine Physical Therapy. I was moving right along then infection set in, which by the way Dusty recognized. Another surgery after eight days in the hospital. We again started physical therapy. I was wearing a port dangling from my arm. Dusty did not let that distract me from the work we needed to do and could do to get some mobility in that arm. I was in great shape five months later. I was brushing my teeth and even more I was back in the gym working out with light free weights. Another infection would set us back again but I can say that Imagine Physical Therapy, John, Dusty, and the whole family there are the best ! I am running, lifting weights, and yes brushing my teeth, and more! I cannot thank them enough for their commitment to helping me make myself whole again. Imagine Physical Therapy helped me immensely as I briefly stopped in their office to inquire about a 'shoulder' pain that I was dealing with and trying to 'nurse' myself. This was on Friday, December 23rd, and John immediately was listening to my problem, and then figured out how to fit me in to their busy afternoon schedule. Our family was getting ready to leave Charleston and hike a 4 day and 44 mile hike to Patagonia, Chile. This shoulder pain did not need to dampen this family trip! I was given excellent treatment, shown stretches to improve this area, and then purchased a small device that I used to 'massage' my shoulder area while on the long flight, and while we were on this 2 week trip to Chile. PLEASE STAY AWAY!! I received physical therapy under the guidance of John Mart and his staff. Believe me when I tell you that John Mart is the most incompetent therapist around! My daughter is a physical therapist in Arizona and she was absolutely appalled at the treatment I received. Not only was the treatment not appropriate, but he also over-billed. I brought this up to my referring doctor, and he will no longer be referring patients to Imagine Physical Therapy.
