Despite submitting the saw for repair on July 26, 2024, they still hadn't repaired or even evaluated it as of November 12th! I NEVER received any contact from them about the issue of delays. Out of frustration and lack of patience, I picked up the saw earlier today, took it to AIH repair center down the street, and received results with a few hours. Alaska Specialty's only explanation for the poor service was the the project had "fallen through the cracks" and admitted they have only one service technician with a backlog of 100's of projects. A much better business plan would have been to accept only as much work as could be completed in a timely manner i.e. less than a month. I am not sure I'll be back.

Their crappy service is reviewed by me here on Yelp ( business rhymes with "wage ") This review is of baileys though. They make my tree possible. Where can I start on my accolades of this business..... FIRST: Lawnmower. I used to hate mowing. There just wasn't enough beer in hand to make it pass fast enough. I discovered BAILEYS sells the consumer reports highly rated Honda mowers. I bought one from these guys. IT WILL PICK UP WET GRASS. No more wasted sunny days mowing. Do it in the rain if you want. Love the thing. SECOND: I needed a manly weed/ brush wacker. They sold me a commercial grade Stihl ample hp stoked brush cutter. With the metal blade attached I cleared a 100 ft swath through the alders and Devils club and berry bushes from a house I built to the nearest utility pole so I could get electric service. I thought it'd take a few days. Nope. 4 hrs. What a great product. THIRD! MY BEAUTIFUL TREE. Made possible by baileys rental products. I rented a genie s-65. Bucket lift. They delivered it to my house. Gave my a quick course on how to use it and off i went. I finally got around to doing what was necessary. Bypassing all ( but one) of the fuses by soldering the strands together. ( yup. All 40) This awesome hydraulic beast did, and will I the future, help me fix the tree. This tree takes bi yearly attention. The tree grows and the wires don't. The bark needs a break from rubbing and wires need adjusting as the tree grows. FOURTH: I asked, and they said I could rent a mini excavator and take it on the Alaska ferry to seldovia to do foundation and service trench work. Wow! I did not expect that. That'll be a lot less expensive than hiring the local guy. ( he thinks equipment monopoly has you by the nuts, and isn't all that friendly) I know this review covered a lot. But after three of the most most awesome experiences in a row here, I couldn't keep quiet about their great products. Service is professional. Guys there seem to have fun working together.
