Accusing me of getting all my news from social media, saying I'm the type that just scrolls through to the "fluffy flu articles" (his odd choice of words, not mine). 2. Also accused me of being unwilling to support the free press Strange angry man. Probably not the best guy to hire as a salesman. Yes, the satire gets old once in a while, and sometimes they do the same jokes over and over until you want to turn the newspaper into spitballs and shoot them at the editors. In fact, all of the 'columnists' are that repetitive. But you can't beat The Onion at its best- one article published this summer poked fun at the constant force feeding of empowerment down women's throats by pointing out the proliferation of 'women's cereal' and other silly products that don't need to be gender specific. It was edgy, funny, true, and satirical at the same time. Pure genius, and you can read it for free at lots of local sandwich shops, coffee joints, and at the Landmark Theatres while waiting for your movie.

Things should be similar right? Well not in this case. First off I hate the name. Who came up with that? They claim to carry on the spirit of the Rocky. I'm not feeling it much if they are. I applaud their efforts and they've gotten a little better since their inception, but it's not the old Rocky I'm sorry to say. I used to follow it every day in the beginning, but I havent done so in a few months now and I dont see myself going back to add it to my favorites. Maybe there are better days are ahead for IDT, but will there be anyone around still reading it to find out?

This week's print issue seemed to be chock full of cannabis advertisements. It's rather popular in Colorado. The newspaper has a "medical marijuana" critic who reviews local dispensaries. The front page was "Eat Here" which is a collection of "The 100 restaurants we can't live without" and if I was spending any more time in Denver than just this one night, I would be bookmarking the bejeebers out of them.
