For whatever reason you need to obtain a set of inked fingerprinting, Nancy at Image City can do that for you. Nowadays its all electronic, but Nancy keeps it old school with ink & paper prints. Image City is located within Restaurant Row & parking is free for the first two & a half hours with validation. An appointment is required for fingerprinting services, along with two forms of ID the day of your appointment. I used my driver's license & social security card. When I arrived, I waited a few minutes as Nancy finished up with another fingerprinting appointment. Within that few minutes, other customers arrived & Nancy was very attentive as she assisted each customer in the order they walked in. I didn't mind as she made copies & took a passport photo customers that came in after me as it was a quick process. If you weren't provided a finger printing card from your employer, Nancy has them in stock for your convenience, free of charge. You'd think fingerprinting is simple as dabbing your fingers in ink to paper, but she was very meticulous & even whipped out a magnifying class to check the prints on your fingers. She was informative about the process & the next steps required to complete my FBI background check. Now that I think about it, I'm positive that this is the same place my madre dragged me to get my passport photo done over 10 years ago. So Professor X said I could become a member of the X-men but I needed to get fingerprinted so I could get security clearance into the Danger Room. I've been fingerprinted before but this was the first time I had to find a fingerprinter. Sometimes the janky have the person next to you roll your fingerprints wont cut it. So I called up Image City and made an appointment. They take same day appointments. They even moved my appointment time earlier when I called and said I had some free time at the moment. The woman working their was a pro! That was the fastest I've ever been fingerprinted. Yes filling out the card is the longest as you have to verify the info but when it came to rolling fingers that was lightning fast. I hope my stint with the X-men last a while, but if I ever need clearance for another agency or contract hire I'm coming back to Image City! They also offer passport photos and other services perfect if you gotta run across the street to the federal building and handle your business or get a passport. read more

You can also purchase stamps and envelopes & the post office is next door for convenience. I came here for fingerprinting services which cost $20 per sheet for the service, but the fingerprint sheet itself is free! Nancy helped me with the fingerprints and was thorough, taking about 20 min. She was kind enough to take me in on a Federal Holiday even though they were closed! She went beyond, so for that I give 5 stars! Tips: Call ahead of time for appointments. There will be a 4% surcharge when using a card to pay. I needed to get some quick fingerprinting work done for employment so being off to Yelp I went searching and find out about Image City. They are located inside the Restaurant Row area within building #2 on the ground level. I called during a holiday but I guess Nancy is her name answered my phone call and suggested I book an appointment during the weekend. Seems like she does a lot of appointments during the weekend. Not only does she do fingerprinting work, but also photography work for passports, and many others. She is definitely good at her craft and multi-tasking and handling multiple clients. In regards to fingerprinting, she was an expert of what I needed to do and what to get done. She literally handled everything for me on the spot. It did not take that long even with handling a couple other clients coming in. The whole fingerprinting service was just under 50 dollars. She validates parking if you parked in the parking garages. As I got there she took me in right away and was very knowledgeable about what I needed to do to get the perfect fingerprints and about the process to send it. I came to this location for convenience. As i got my first set of finger prints done, the lady conducting my finger prints verbally said that these are poor quality prints due to the ridges of my fingers. I told her, "wouldnt it be smart to redo them then so they dont get rejected?" The lady conducting the prints informed me that i would need to pay for a second set of finger prints...... that's ridiculous for me to pay for a second set. If you do it right, you can still get an excellent print, you just need to be more precise. I understand that this is a small business, but when you're verbally telling customers that their prints are low quality, a good company would do a second set to get it right or just invest in a digital finger print scanner. These guys do not uphold that customer service of a small business but rather is a small business simply trying to take your money as quickly as possible like a major corporation. Suggest you look elsewhere for fingerprints. read more

Luckily I came on yelp and looked for a place and saw that there was a passport photo place directly across the street from the Federal building where I was going to get my passport. I walked in this place and it looked pretty familiar. She took my picture right away and was out of there in less than 3 minutes after paying my $13. Now that I thought about it, I think this was the same place that I went to for my passport photo 10 years ago. Another lady was there for fingerprinting and she took her in right away after me. I am shocked to be the first to write a review for this little known gem! I recently needed to get my fingerprints taken as part of an employment background check, and it was only then that I discovered that NONE of the Government Offices in Hawaii will take inked fingerprints for you. Thankfully, Image City was recommended online elsewhere, and I found the experience to be quick and enjoyable. You can't get more convenient than Restaurant Row as far as location goes, and their rates (under $20 for mine) are on par with what the Mobile Fingerprinting services charge. The experience was very professional, and the person taking my prints was knowledgable about the proper handling and procedures with respect to packing the inked card along with copies of my photo IDs, and taking steps to make sure the inner and outer envelopes are Tamper-Evident. I'm writing this review to hopefully save the next Honolulu candidate a bit of grief -- if you need to get inked fingerprints done for a security or background check, I can't recommend this little shop enough! read more

I went there to get my passport picture taken, due to all the good reviews. The picture is not digital (like the 90s) so you only get one shot. When the picture came out it was crooked, my head was not centered, left and right spacing was uneven, shoulders uneven. My eyes are looking downward, which is a spot she asked me to look at. It practically looked like a selfie, where the image isn't centered and your eyes are looking at a screen and not at the lens. I told her bluntly my concerns. She said it's ok the government will take it and the eyes are looking straight ahead to her, if I want a re-do it will be charged cuz it's film. I just told her no thanks, but I suggest she figure out how to take centered pictures if she wants her store to give a good image, instead of outdated and sloppy. read more

But I did 3 copies( one is in color), print 5pages, scan 8pages, and did two sets of passport photo($12.99/set, one set comes in two photo) and the total cost is $90.28 ( they charge 4% transaction fee for credit cards) !!! the copies, printing and scanning are way over priced! read more

I don't like to write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn people. Don't get your passport photos taken here. Poor quality photos and an old camera. You can't see your picture to review before being printed. If you blink, you can get another picture for free. If you don't like your picture, you have to pay for it again. I didn't feel ready when the lady took my picture and I didn't like the picture and let her know but she wouldn't take it again. She was busy with two other customers. One lady customer I was with was upset at the quality of the pictures and said she wished she went to Costco instead. She charges $15 plus tax and if you pay with a credit card she will charge you more. Around $17. I have been informed that at Costco they will let you review your photo before printing and it costs around $5. I like to support local businesses but with the outcome and poor service, I will definitely not go to this place again. read more
