The barista hadn't heard of the program or deal, but she was happy to honor my little online coupon thing. I brought my laptop to do a little work (not my general thing but gave it a shot). Found a small table to sit at but if your back is to the window facing out, you're on a bench and have to sit really far back (and pull the table close) if you want the window to be your backrest. I think I'd actually prefer a chair there. Also the music wasn't anything crazy but was WAY too loud. It's a coffee shop, chill it down! I had my ear buds in and it didn't block out any of the music at all. Coffee was decent but I don't like when shops only have sugar or sugar in the raw. Gimme my fake stuff please - let me choose how I want to die lol. Anyway, this spot was alright for doing some work or meeting up with someone - parking is easy and in a lot.

The Hawaiian motif found around the place is just about as Hawaiian as it gets. The general vibe of this shopping strip is already laid back so that's how it felt even inside. The interior is inviting with a couple prints from Hawaii. One picture reminded me of Kailua while another one is a picture of a lifeguard station. I ordered an iced MacNut Latte. It was definitely tasty and made to order. I also ordered a chupacabra Bonfire burrito. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will be back soon enough. We were meeting friends that day and I didn't take any pictures. I'll be back soon enough!

I was hoping the small coffee would be free with purchase of bag, but I guess it wasn't. The bag of coffee wasn't cheap, so I was disappointed in how over-roasted the beans were. Adjusting grind levels and water temperature, there was always a bitterness or too watered down. The other flavors present in the beans, however, we're quite nice. I was hoping that they would have real kona coffee, but unfortunately their supplier suffered from disaster in Hawaii. Not going to blame them for that, but objectively speaking, if a Hawaiian coffee shop doesn't have Hawaiian coffee, then I am sad about it. At the same time, due to the circumstances, there is a compelling reason to throw some more support behind them.
