I've been here twice now and it seems like a good little coffee shop. I have tried the cold brew and the matcha. Both were good and the cold brew was very strong. I took off 1 star due to the price. Paying around $9 for a coffee is just wild, but I guess that is just the economy these days. I'll definitely come back and try out some more drinks on the menu read more

Ok this place has solid coffee and specialty drinks but OMG the scheduling and administrative processes suck! I do not understand how you can run a coffee shop with one person working during PRIME coffee hours in the morning. The line is always 10+ people deep and it takes 20 minutes minimum to get your coffee. I understand this is not Starbucks but 20 mins for a drink is so ridiculous. I'm here right now and the ONE person working at 9am on a Sunday is clearly so stressed out. He has already said "it's been a day" when speaking to multiple customers already and he refused to make me a pour over bc he's the only person here and was overwhelmed by the line forming. It's 9am, HOW has it already "been a day" for you?? Honestly this sounds like a case of horrible mismanagement and it's not even this guy's fault. The staff here are SO FRIENDLY. This just makes the whole experience joyful and also like there's some happiness and good vibes in my drink to carry me through the day. Today I was recommended a tea, ghoulflower, that is a gorgeous blue and turns purple when you add lemon. The barista poured one for herself and called me over to show me the purple transformation . My daughter and I had some time to kill and stumbled upon this cute coffee shop, not too far from Alliance Française, where we had an appointment. The space is on the smaller side, with tables outside. The service was friendly, and our coffees were excellent (cappuccino for me, cold brew for my daughter). Curious about the business, I checked out their website and was happy to see that it's woman-owned, pretty awesome in a male-dominated industry, and that they source most of their coffee from women producers. They offer an impressive selection of coffee beans, available online too. And if you're interested in learning how to make the perfect espresso shot or try your hand at latte art, they also offer classes. Really cool spot, worth a visit! read more

Met a friend here to chat. There are only a few tables and there's a bit of a rustic vibe. The barista was a one person show and she was friendly. She warmed my Bonosaurus Bonfire Burrito which had hash browns, roasted peppers, mushrooms, onions and pico de gallo. There were parts of my burrito that did not get heated all the way through but it had a lot of flavor. My chai latte with almond milk was the right amount of creaminess, sweet and spicy. There is ample parking in this area and very close to other Lowry restaurants. A good spot to sit for a bit and they have wifi as well. What a lovely little coffee shop in the area. I had a few hours to kill before meeting up with friends so I stopped by. Parking can be difficult because it's in the same plaza as the beer garden. There are lots of outdoor seating. Indoor seating can be quite limited because it is a small cafe. However, I love the interior and the vibes of the shop. It feels quite cozy. The music isn't super loud where you can't concentrate. The employees are super friendly and welcoming. Service was quick. It's quite lovely. The matcha latte with the oat milk was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet nor was it bland. You can taste the matcha but it's not too bitter. It was a great drink during the hot summer days. read more

Copper Door is my favorite of the local roasters in the area. This Sumatra is amoung one of my favourite coffee's. This shop is tucked into a small corner location next to the Lowry Beer Garden and can sit comfortably a dozen people. It doesn't get a ton of to-go foot traffic so you can get in and out quickly but this is more of a relaxed, slow down and enjoy your coffee spot. It is definitely not cranking out lots of high-sugar drinks in a hurry so keep that in mind and maybe head to DutchBros if thats your jam. read more

I wish copper door had a way to order ahead on an app because the coffee is delicious and the employees do their best, but averaging a 20 minute wait for a single latte is not feasible unless you're meeting a friend or staying to work. The ambience is nice, except for it being pretty crowded and having to wait for a table most of the time. I crave their lattes, but usually go elsewhere because I don't have the time to wait for it to be made, unfortunately. read more

I walked in with my father in law and waited a good 5 minutes before I kindly said excuse me hoping to get someone's attention in the back. An employee came out and said I'm on my lunch and someone is talking to the boss. She was not pleased to be missing her lunch and showed that the entire time we were in the shop. If you weren't going to have someone available for a bit, put a sign on the counter! I ordered a strawberry iced matcha off their special menu and when she rang it up it said matcha then salted caramel. I said excuse me I ordered a strawberry matcha. She not so kindly said I know but we don't have a strawberry button. MY FIL then ordered 2 coffees and asked about what type of creamers they had when she asked if he wanted room for cream. Her response "I don't know man, it's just a creamer." We got our drinks and left. My husband went in and got his order since he had stayed outside with our little one and thankfully had a much better experience as it must have been one of the other workers or "the boss." My matcha was great but had zero strawberry. Bummer because I was excited to try something different. read more

Overall this coffee shop was fine. The product was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant but it was a bit small and there was only one person on staff. The cafe wasn't busy, so we didn't wait long for our coffees. I guess my only complaint was the barista wasn't very warm. She had a bit of an attitude. Not rude, just not very engaging. I highly recommend this little coffee shop. They have a great menu with seasonal drinks and gluten free, vegan syrups. They have tasty burritos too, but I'd love to see some allergy friendly bakery items. I love any place that loves plants! This is my go to coffee spot in Denver. It's just up the street from me and I've had it at least 50 times over the last 5 years, probably more? There's a reason I keep going back. It's small and quaint, in a great convenient location, and I always feel well served. The seasonal menus vary from quintessential to experimental, which I really enjoy. I can't say I love all the experimental drinks, like the recent espresso spritz lineup (not bad though), but I'm happy to have tried the flavor combo. Even if this coffee shop wasn't located next to the Botanic Gardens, I would still seek them out because they know their coffee and honestly, it's just such a beautiful space whether you go to the gardens or not. If I was still single, this would be the perfect "first date" kind of place if you want to seem classy but not yet sure how much you want to invest in a second date. If it goes well, suggest a romantic stroll through the gardens. If it doesn't go well...just GTFO. I also have a special place in my heart for Copper Door Coffee Roasters because they graciously stayed open to accommodate our event for Blossoms of Light. It can be tough to organize a networking event without paying the exorbitant room fees for the botanical gardens, especially if you only have 20 people and an hour for networking. The ambiance, drinks and the staff were amazing for our Therapist Appreciation Night which we hosted in conjunction with Corporate Sponsor's night. Honestly could've been an off day or my own energy, but the staff wasn't as friendly as they were to every other customer who walked in while I was there. Everyone else who stayed in got a mug while I got a paper cup. Even though food might not be their main thing as I realized, I ordered a breakfast burrito and they forgot it in the microwave for 15 where I had to go and ask for it. I had been sitting in the cafe in front of my laptop, but they still asked if I wanted it to go? Albeit a little on the small side; they make the most of what they have. Star #2 - The baristas are always very friendly! They promptly greet you and ensure they get your order to you quickly. Yay! Star #3 - They offer a small selection of eats including pastries, burritos, and salads. So if you don't feel like venturing out for lunch; they've got you covered! Star #4 - Free WiFi. I feel so old writing that, but it really is a perk! I love being able to take care of my online assignments on-the-go. Safe to say, "I'm a fan!" Some of their items on the menu board they no longer offer (like the Aeropress and French press) and if there's one person working there, it might take a while for you to get a pour over. I really like this place and have been a regular for the past 3 years, but it has been so hit and miss since they lost their 2 best baristas, roughly 8 months ago. I watched 8 people try to open the doors this morning at 830am (friday), but it was not open. There wasnt a notice about it being closed or opening later in the day, and it said it was open online. Again, I really want to like this place and give them my money but it doesn't seem like they want it. I know it's hard to find good personnel right now but the owner or management needs to work out these issues. This was a great find, tucked away in a semi-industrial park. I came across this shop by accident driving through looking all the breweries. I couldn't find anything about pour overs on their online menu but took a chance with the picture of the beans. Sure enough the provide a choice of Chemex or V60 (Yessss!). Had the rare single sack of Brazilian and a Guatemalian pour over. Bought several bags to take home. RJ was and excellent barista, we talked about their coffee and all the places I have been. Had the midnight mocha (iced) and boy oh boy was it a kick in the pants! Although they weren't really sure of the ingredients it contains (at the very least) coconut oil, activated charcoal, cocoa, milk and some other stuff. And I was IMPRESSED by the baristas and atmosphere here. I am visiting Denver and have now been here three days in a row because it is that good. They roast their own beans which makes the world of difference. They also have plenty of outdoor seating (and shade) and I feel at home. Also! They have delicious gluten free food and snacks.
