I had a great experience with this company! Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new blinds! read more

I cannot believe the lies told by this lady. We did not call the business or ever contact the business or try to change any batteries BEFORE the blinds came crashing down. We had literally just moved into the house when this happened. The business is fortunate we did not take legal action! Karen- We called you AFTER the fact since we were hoping to have you guys come to help us with the blinds anyway. And you/ your staff quoted us a ridiculous price to merely change the batteries, which deterred us from using your services. The technician did not even come prepared with a tall enough ladder. Amateur hour. Karen is a very entitled callous lady and her personality really comes through in any interaction with the business. Also it took the business years to respond to this review, speaks of the quality of the work they do. read more

I Love the product. Love the ladies. Customer service was excellent starting with the phone call to the initial install. I would definitely recommend I'm the Blind Lady to everyone. read more

We are always extremely happy with their products and work! We've had many blinds installed by I'm The Blind Lady and have always been very pleased with the results! We've recently needed a special modification for our bedroom. I'm The Blind Lady's both Bonnie and Karen, worked hard at thinking outside the box with the knowledge of their products to come up with the perfect modification! Work done by Ricardo went beyond the call of duty! This company truly is GREAT, working with them is a pleasure, and you'll be delighted by the results! read more

Very overpriced, and the staff in the office do not seem familiar with their products. The installer and designer that came out were very pleasant, however the prices are outrageous. Additionally, they are not very creative in suggesting blinds, in particular, for two story windows. I was told I would need to pay for scaffolding myself! For the price point this is ridiculous, since we are in an area that frequently has two story windows. I would not recommend this company unless you have money to spare. read more

I'm The Blind Lady - Shutters Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Blind Lady is the only vendor who will not obey your signs at your house. Our HOA gives us these signs for a reason and she decides she can park there. Then when asked to move and obey the sign she refuses. Entitled. read more

If you are looking for a warranty or guarantee, please looks elsewhere. Our blind literally fell from 20 feet because it was not installed correctly. It could have killed someone if they were standing underneath. She casually said, well "I've never heard of this happening, have. you considered that this is your fault because you messed with it?". I implore you to look elsewhere. read more

Incredible customer service. Friendly staff and great products. I love the quality and functionality!

Great people I really love the blinds. I got at the blind lady. and the installers were fabulous. Could not ask for better.

This is the absolute Best place to purchase and have blinds installed in New Mexico! Karen and her team were professional, caring and responsive to our blind and window covering needs. High quality Hunter Douglas remote controlled blinds at a very reasonable price compared to others in Albuquerque. Installer was professional, knowledgeable and work area kept clean. I would highly recommend this business! read more

I can't stand her commercials and we change the channel whenever they come on. The door bell makes the dogs bark and just causes anxiety. Maybe in the good ol' days having someone come to your door was a happy experience, but theses days who knows who is lurking out there. A company that spends that much on commercials charges higher prices. read more

Wow - using this company was a mistake and my bad for paying for what was quoted...live and learn. Never again. One of my large blinds was not installed properly and then replaced twice and still not installed properly so Karen had the blind removed to be sent back to Hunter Douglas She had her installers put up incredible cheap paper shades that did not stay up and caused the morning sun to awaken me each morning (window faces east). I finally used push pins and tape to hold up the shades and draped the rail with blankets. Karen's indifference was most disappointing and when I inquired as to why she had not called Hunter Douglas she said they don't respond to phone calls. Said she was waiting for an email..... After almost 3 weeks of pure frustration with The "Blind" Lady, I called Hunter Douglas directly and had an immediate response (within 2 hours) from a company representative. This call I generated on Tuesday and my bedroom blind was properly installed by Thursday afternoon by an installer who very clearly knew what he was doing. So thankful for this! I recommend you look elsewhere if you need Blinds..the name of this company says it all. read more

Poor warranty service I bought a Hunter-Douglas Luminette from Karen (that's really her name, and she lives up to it) a couple of years ago. Recently, one of the small hooks the slats hang from broke. I called her, and she sent out one of her installers with new "guts" for the blind that H-D had sent her. The installer warned me that it's not easy to take these apart and put them back together, and he was right. He had it all apart, but couldn't get it back together, so I suggested he take everything back to the shop and get it put back together there. Note that H-D sent everything he would need to put in the new guts. Now it's been 6 weeks, and Karen has been telling me all this time that she's waiting for parts. I finally told her that's not true, that I had seen the new assembly H-D had sent out, with my own eyes. All it needs is to be put back together. She said she's sorry I feel that way, but I can "go another direction" (her actual words) if I don't like it. I told her that I knew perfectly well that "go another direction" is code for "f#$k off and get another one somewhere else". She turned on the faux indignation, calling me rude (after jacking me around for 6 weeks) and told me that she reserves the right to refuse service to anybody, and that I could come in and get my taken-apart blind. On top of all this, when I originally called to make an appointment to have my windows measured, they failed to schedule it, and I had to waste a day off waiting for them, never to show. read more

Over the past 7 years we have had Excellent long term results ( durable, high quality, and easy to clean) with Hunter Douglas Blinds in half of the windows in our large 2 story house. A while back we discovered that the local business that sold them was no longer in business and we were very disappointed. We recently went to the ABQ Home Show, saw the same blinds on display, talked to the the Blind Lady reps, and were excited that we could get the same quality blinds for comparatively reasonable prices. After a short period of time the skilled installers came and did a superb job. read more

After speaking with the company they came out and made everything right, we are now satisfied for the most part but do have to wonder would we have received the response without the review? read more

I've never left a yelp review until dealing with this company. I asked for a quote for installation of blinds in a new house. The person I dealt with was extremely rude. She claimed to be unable to hang blinds in windows on the second floor that would require a ladder. She was unwilling to give me a quote for installation even disregarding the more difficult to access windows. From the beginning, the customer service was so poor, it prompted me to make a yelp account. read more

The installation and customer service is not great. I had emailed the pictures of a blind that was not centered and because of the direction of light in the afternoon it is very obvious. I ordered room darkening not black out. I was reminded that I did not get black out because of my art, as if I do not know what I paid for. I waited two weeks to see if they would come out to make the adjustment, nothing. Bonnie did not want to correct this. She put the blame on me as if I did the installation. We were looking into the main house to be fitted with Hunter Douglas, they do sell them elsewhere. read more

It has now been a year since I had the poor installation. I have called MANY times and left my name and number both for the lady (Bonny) who measured and for the owner at the business phone. No one has returned my calls. The install was so that my neighbor across the street can look into my bedroom at night when my light is on and anyone walking past my window can look in. Thats because there is a 2 inch gap at the side of a closed blind. The customer service at the blind lady is absolutely the worst! After spending $4000.00 on two blinds, I am forced to look elsewhere for a solution. I would advise anyone considering using this company to save yourself the aggravation that will follow! read more

Hunter Douglas Blinds with automatic lowering and raising. Emerson and his assistant did a beautiful installation. Exactly what I wanted!!! Yes they are Expensive, which is why I only plan to do this once. Thank you Karen and your staff for a job well done!!! read more

From our first contact through installation, a great experience. I was looking for blinds for our bedroom and had seen multiple commercials about I'm the Blind Lady, When looking at the reviews, I decided this was the best way to go. I called on a Sunday and left a message. My message was returned quickly and an in-home appointment was scheduled for a convenient time on a Saturday. Bonnie arrived on time and helped us select the right blinds for our house. We ordered the blinds and then was kept informed of the ship date. An installation was set up for the following week at a time when I was taking some time off from work. Pete was our installer and he called early afternoon and said he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early. He arrived an hour before our slot which made me very happy because I was then able to go out and run errands. Pete was personable, professional, and did excellent work in a very quick manner. All around a great experience. Would definitely use again. read more

Buyer Beware! Despite their "lifetime warranty" claim, they will charge $145.00 to make a house call to verify your problem. Or better yet, tell YOU to remove and bring the blind into their store. read more

So cringe, lady on phone very rude. I hung up. No sense of customer service, no wonder the low reviews.

We were greeted when we entered the "I'm the Blind Lady" shop by a courteous, very knowledgeable representative who explained the options we had available and then scheduled a home visit to verify the selection and take measurements. When the blinds arrived they were placed by two competent men who honestly left the house almost cleaner then when they arrived. On the second visit, they installed automatic controls and explained their use. Finding that one of the controls was too far from our router, they scheduled a return visit to correct this concern with an extender. We were very pleased with everyone we met from the "I'm the Blind Lady" and would highly recommend them to friends and others. read more

The prices are absolutely absurd. When I visited the store, selected blinds, and provided measurements the cost seemed reasonable. Then they visited my home, verified my measurements, and gave me a price twice as high even though nothing changed. read more

It took 8 months to get the shutters for the master bedroom. Always an excuse or blaming someone else! The last straw was when they charged my credit card and said it went through without the security code. My credit card company said today that NO charge goes through without that code because of so much fraud. They must have saved it when I made my down payment, after I asked them to destroy the information. When I'm flat out lied to, I'm done with you regardless! I will never use this company again, EVER! If you are looking for a company in Albuquerque that sells Hunter Douglas there's an HD office on Montgomery! I have an appointment with them next week to purchase window coverings for 4 remaining large windows. My experience with them has been the worst of ANY company that I have dealt with in many years! read more

New to town, a friend recommended The Blind Lady. While I wish they'd add an "s" to "blind", they have been great to work with. Six months after installation, I called to ask if they could remove and reinstall our blinds, because we were having our windows replaced. To my surprise, they were extremely accommodating and did the job gratis. The installers are professional, very competent and friendly. Their prices are competitive and the Hunter Douglas products are top notch. I wouldn't call anyone else. read more
