I can already tell it has decreased the heat in the room and I don't feel blinded when I walk in the room in the morning. The install crew was GREAT! Kept things clean and tidy. I guess their definition of lifetime is 1 year. They claim that certain aspects of the material are prone to deterioration, but how do they know what's happening when they didn't have the decency to investigate the matter? I tried to explain my side but they chose to ignore me. Amanda took two weeks to get back with me in the first place (after several calls and no return calls), and Jessica another week to send me an email after I questioned it (after several calls). I will report them to Costco who I purchased it through, but I have no other recourse. Oh, they are more than willing to help me...As long as I pay. Once they have your money, it's over. After waiting for over 8 months for them, the shutters arrived defective and did not open and close properly. The owner of the manufacturing company (from China) even came to my house and verified they were defective. Everyone agreed and promised us a refund. To make a long story short, Robin the owner of All about Blinds refused to refund our money. She said she "didn't have it and wasn't responsible". Since our agreement was with the designer, Robin argued that we needed to have our designer refund us, not All about Blinds. Our designer refused to give us a refund because she said that she had not been paid from All about Blinds. We finally had to hire an attorney in order to get our money back. It was not an experience I would want anyone else to go through. Bottom line, stay away from All about Blinds! It was the worst customer service and worst experience I have ever had with a company here in Albuquerque. From what Robin (the owner) told us during the ordeal, she was broke and going out of business. Now I see she has reopened in another location, which why I am writing this review. I want to warn others that there are many other and much better options for purchasing window coverings. Eventually we did replace our shutters. Bill at Window Fashions was excellent, and now my shutters are beautiful. Bill has also been to my house many times to follow up and make sure that everything is as it should be. It's been 4 years now and I am still thrilled with the shutters I got from Window Fashions. All About Blinds was a huge mistake.
