If you ever make it out to Valencia and are looking for a decent hotel to stay at, Aqua 3 will meet your basic needs. It is slightly smaller than its sister hotel Aqua 4. For a fee there is a breakfast, with a small selection of sweet and savory, to include hot and cold drinks. There wasn't much of a change to the menu however, as it was almost exactly the same every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always greeting you whenever you entered and exited the lobby. The individual that checked me in also handwrote a list of suggested places to eat, which was very appreciated and worthwhile. They also called me a taxi when I checked out, which showed up within minutes at 3am. The room itself was plain - not the best bedding or mattress, and the shower fixtures were not adaptable for height. The tub/shower glass partition seemed unsafe, as it was not fully secured to the tub and feared would shatter dangerously with one wrong slip in the tub. I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. The tv was very small. Make sure you have an adapter for the power outlets to accommodate 220, as is the case in European countries. And there is no pool. Although far from downtown, the hotel location was still good, as it sits on top of a 5-story mall and is directly across the street from an 8-story department store on steroids (El Corte Ingles), literally having everything from clothing to jewelry to furniture to toys to appliances, and then some. A fifteen minute walking radius from the hotel will give you access to the largest aquarium in Europe, museums, arts and sciences buildings, a huge park with water features and walking paths, more shopping and eating, and modern architecture. Taxis are in abundance and decently priced, and the closer you get to downtown the more abundant are the eateries, shopping, original architecture, and of course the central market, which is amazing. I may consider staying here again, but I may also choose somewhere closer to downtown with a pool. read more
