The food both looked and tasted like fine dining, and the overall quality exceeded my expectations. Expect to pay around €100 for lunch for two without alcohol. Parking at the hotel costs €28 per day, but if you don't mind walking a few minutes, it's usually possible to find free street parking nearby. Meliá is one of Spain's largest hotel chains, with properties across the world, including countries such as China and Tanzania. Their mobile app makes booking and payments very easy, and it's clear they're building their own travel ecosystem. If you value consistent quality and predictable service, it's worth checking the Meliá app instead of relying only on booking aggregators. The service from start to finish was top tier and they did everything to make us feel welcome during our stay. We arrived around 1pm and we were able to get our room right away. The rooms here are massive. We had a king bed room, and it was more than enough space for two of us. With separate living room and bedroom area it was such an amazing place to rest after each day of exploring. The room feels a little bit on the older side, with the fan making a loud noise that we just got used to. There's not an electronic thermostat so we had to run the fan on max to keep the room cool. We didn't really use any of the amenities or the restaurant on-site because we wanted to explore the city with the 3 days we had here. They are renovating the gym, but they have a partnership with the gym across the street, which is available to use if you need it. Aside from the hotel, I think the location was perfect for us. We were a 20-minute walk in any direction from all the main sights and restaurants we wanted to explore. The hotel itself is quiet and far enough away from high traffic areas, so it was peaceful and serene throughout. Overall, loved our stay and honestly sad to leave because we loved Valencia and wish we had planned to stay more days here. Would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

They have a pool and a nice hotel bar. They are literally full every night over summer it seems and I feel it's because it's a well located hotel and they have a good reputation! I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Valencia! I've got one final note. The staff here are really just amazing people. My wife got sick one day and they were asking how they could help and how she was doing. I highly recommend this place for going above and beyond for the customer!

Rooms aren't very large, and are a bit rundown (e.g. scratches and old couch), but they do the job nicely. Internet was a good speed and reliable. Staff were always happy and welcoming. Breakfast is the regular HIX brekkie - cold meats, bread, fruits, juices, coffee, etc. If you feel like some extra fancy stuff, you can get some bits from the Carrefour supermarket next door and enjoy it in the breakfast area. Can connect with the airport via public transport for about €6: Bus 14 to Xàvia (€1,50, buy from the driver), and then metro 3 or 5 to the airport (€4,40, buy from machine). Taxi is about €25-30.

This art deco feel hotel is a nice change to the modern locations I have stayed. The room was spacious with a large walkin shower and comfortable sitting area. I got very relaxed in the king size bed and enjoyed the pillows. It's the perfect location to the city center and easy to navigate the surrounding area. The rooftop patio bar was the perfect spot to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Either sitting outside or in the relaxing bar area, it was perfect. The small pool was great for a late afternoon dip as well. We plan to return in the near future and we will make our reservation here. In terms of design, art and architecture, comes to mind Taj Majal, a painting by Monet, a palm shaped island off the coast of Dubai. But beauty does not have to be grand and Palacio Santa Clara is a perfect example of that. A small boutique property, that opened just under a year ago, representing the only Autograph Collection hotel in Valencia. It is a former bank, that included a residence of the owners upstairs. Renovated into a gorgeous hotel where the interior and exterior designs represent a level of beauty that is extremely hard to argue with. The lobby is decently sized, but not grand in size by any means. Yet, every detail is perfectly appointed, in a Valencian neo-modern design that is simply stunning. It manages to be cozy, modern and elegant at the same time. As a Titanium guest, there was a breakfast benefit available, but due to full occupancy, an upgrade did not happen. The hotel was totally willing to provide a late checkout, that also ended up being unnecessary. Thus, the city view king room was provided and it is a very beautiful room, despite its humble size. The windows are excellent and do a great job isolating from exterior noise. Due to some protests outside, there was a decent amount of honking, but the windows blocked a very substantial portion of that sound. Every aspect of the stay was perfect. Requests were fulfilled rapidly. Staff were always quick and professional. Front desk well staffed. Despite staying here for four nights, it was a rare hotel experience where everything was done just right, without any notable mishaps. That in itself is quite difficult for any property. The rooftop bar is gorgeous inside the dome, with some excellent wine selections at very reasonable prices. All around, a spectacular property and without doubt, the best Autograph Collection property I have ever stayed at. In the boutique space, it can easily be considered a five star property given the level of service and amenities.

Traveling to Alicante, Granada, Valencia and Madrid has given us the opportunity to get a good idea of how to rank hotels in this beautiful country. The Petit Palace is a boutique type hotel that has two locations in Valencia; this review is for the one located near the Palacio Dos Aquas. What separates the Petit Palace from its competitors is the staff. The people in Spain are pleasant, however, at times you will find some folks in local 'chain' businesses will get frustrated with you depending on your ability to communicate or expectations. This is not the case with the award-winning staff at Petit Palace. The team at the front desk is top notch and will go the extra mile to help you in anyway possible. The breakfast is decent (for Spain), the internet access is clunky with hand written codes provided at check-in that require 24 refreshes, and there is little parking within a couple of hundred yards. These annoyances are common to much of Valencia as it is a dense city where every square inch is being utilized. We stayed for a week and left my seventy-year-old mother in the room for a couple of days on her own. Mom only speaks English and was on her first visit to Europe. The crew at Petit Palace became her friends and made her feel comfortable at all times. This made Valencia a favorite place for Mom. Pros: The Staff is the best we have encountered in any hotel in Spain. Located in the middle of the shopping district and within walking to the train terminal, La Lonja and half a dozen churches and cathedrals. If you stay here, you can walk everywhere in Valencia. The AC is super cold in the summer. Breakfast is decent The breakfast is typical Spanish fare. (Meh- Neither pro or con) Internet access is free and offers decent bandwidth for Skype calls back home. Beds and bedding are ample and comfortable. They offer bikes for rent in the lobby. PP will also hold your bags in the lobby free of charge. The Staff is Great with first timers who do not speak Spanish. Cons: And they are quite minor. Petit Palace is a bit pricey, although the location will save you on taxi fare. The rooms are a bit tight as is the lift (elevator) You have to renew your internet code daily. No parking and drive ups for tourists can be confusing as you may drive through a sidewalk restaurant while navigating to the hotel. 24/7 coffee in the lobby would be nice.
