ILKB has changed my life, for the better, for forever. I bought a 5 class pass on Black Friday after a friend recommended kickboxing and ILKB. I went in for my first class and met with Trent about 30 minutes prior to the class time. As soon as I walked in, I felt super welcome and comfortable. During the 30 minutes, Trent walked through the process with me, narrowed down my goals and struggles, and helped me prepare for the first class. Once class started, Trent spent time focused on helping me with my form to make sure I was getting the most effective workout while minimizing any issues. The first class was HARD, and I had to take several breaks, but I was still encouraged the entire time. Jade led an amazing class and there was so much energy! I never felt bad for taking my time or needing to slow my pace. Everyone at ILKB is supportive and inclusive. Its named I love kickboxing for a darn good reason. Its so addicting and I do love it. I love the coaches, I love the high energy in the class, the positive support for each other and I LOVE hitting things! I've been going to classes since September and I wish I could go everyday. Its a great work out for your whole body! You start to feel soreness where you hadn't before and you know its pushing you, out of your comfort zone, into a really fantastic place. Its become my therapy after a hard day/week. If your nervous about a group class, all I can say is it is so much more about you and your ability\progress than it is about anyone else. You get in the zone and forget the room is full of others doing the same as you. and what I love the most is I just have to show up. Amazing staff, clean environment, and great workout. The cost is high but after looking at other kickboxing places, I found that its not that bad. Taking your shoes off is pretty standard if you have gone to any martial arts classes and it really does help with form and keeping the mats clean/in good condition. First class I took I almost threw up (I did it to myself) the instructor made sure I was fine and asked if I needed anything. I powered threw and have not pushed myself as hard since. I didn't like getting the sales pitch right after my first class, but I was planning on signing up anyway (I called and checked the prices before hand so it wasn't a shock). If you want an intense workout I highly recommend this place. Don't overexert yourself, take it slow until you get used to it. I was always very active as a kid playing multiple sports during the same season. When I graduated high school it was all over, so I searched for something new. I tried several different sports/gym memberships anything to get back into shape, to feel like A hard workout but have fun like I did playing my sports. I was offered some deals to extend coverage to join as a member. I have been going to this place for a couple months now. I just want to keep going. I love it! The instructors have plenty of variances in drills and they are very motivating. I have and would recommend my friends and you to join. Donnie, Lena, Coach V, and Jade are AMAZING leaders, extremely encouraging and patient. This is a class that changes up the routine and exercises daily so you won't get bored and you get a whole body work out. It is great for beginners and up due to the ability to modify your workouts, and they are there with you every step of the way, pushing you the achieve your best without trying to kill you. Most fun I have ever had working out. It is both fun and challenging and a great full body workout everytime. The coaches are amazing and keeps things interesting by changing things up. The workout itself is high intensity but still super fun, the coaches are very friendly and help to push you further than you ever thought you could go, the gym itself is very clean and well kept. I was a bit hesitant to join ILKB because I'm very out of shape and I was worried about keeping up with the class. However, the instructors are amazing and always encouraging everyone to keep moving, and it's such a positive atmosphere that my worries faded away after my 1st class.
