I had a bad experience with this business and now every time I drive by this place, I feel myself…read moregetting upset. So I finally decided to "get even" and write a review. My husband and I bought some adult fitness packages (punch passes) for like $400+ around January 2013 for some group kickboxing classes. When we signed the contract, it said "no refunds". However, I found out I was pregnant in March 2013. (I obviously had no clue when we bought the packages). Since the classes are pretty high impact and intense, I only used a couple of the "punch pass visits". The package definitely wasn't cheap, and I felt like it was a complete waste of money at this point, so I thought I would call the owner and discuss some options. I knew I wasn't going to be able to get a complete refund because I signed the contract. However, I was hoping he could just extend the expiration date, so I could just attend after I had my baby, or offer a partial refund, or something. Here are where my complaints come in.... 1) I called the owner like four times in a month to discuss my options (left a couple messages) and got no response!!!! I thought the owner was just filtering my calls since I was asking for a refund of some sort. But he eventually called me back and said he "was out of the county for a while". So why didn't he put an "away message" on his phone stating this? That's pretty common practice these days and really easy to do. What a terrible way to run a business!! It was extremely annoying! 2) the owner absolutely refused to work with me and offered me no refund of any kind and didn't even just say I could come a couple times for free after I had my baby. I know he wasn't obligated to do this for me, and I did sign a contact. But it just seems like the right thing to do. And if he would have done that, I might have become a repeat customer and bought another punch pass. But I can tell you I am definitely Never stepping foot in that place again after this experience, and he will never get a dime from me for my kids taking karate classes from him. I definitely feel like I got ripped off!!! I felt pressured to buy the package in the first place (I thought it was expensive and kind of binding and I should have just followed my gut instinct). And I can't believe he was so unwilling to work with me on some sort of refund. Anyway, I thought I should caution anyone looking into this place for your kids or yourself. Be aware!

We went in to cancel our gym membership back in March 2021 because we were moving to another state…read morefor work. Instead of cancelling they convinced us to put our membership on "pause" because we weren't sure when we would be coming back, it could have been 6 months to a year (we still aren't back), and we would have liked to continue when we got home. When we called because we were still getting charged, they told us they only put an account on "pause" for 3 months (which was never stated anyways) Upon further review our account was never even paused to begin with, they kept charging our account until we noticed, there was never a "3 month gap" and when we confronted them with that now they are trying to claim we never called to begin with. She didn't care they screwed us over for 8 months, she told us she wouldn't refund our money at all... Any money! We would have been happy with half refunded or even a couple months refunded. Anything but a refusal to work with us and an offer to get "2 months free" when we come back, how much money should I put that when we do make it back there "won't be any notes." I would suggest supporting a business who cares about their clientele and not one who only cares about the money. Definitely will not be returning and I'll make sure all my neighbors and friends in Milliken are aware to never "pause" their memberships. ***Ohhh and originally she asked us to think about what they could do to make it right, when we told her we would appreciate it if she refunded half and we will eat the other half to make it fair on both ends and she told us no and proceeded to tell us she will not refund anything. I have had medical reasons for being out for what will be 9 weeks out of the 12 month contract I signed with them. Out of those 9 weeks 8 I have been out by orders from my doctors. Prior to the medical reasons I am out for now I spoke to three of the coaches letting them know I would be out. At that time I thought it would be 2-4 weeks but after my surgery the Doctor said it needed to be at least 6 weeks. I have since sent four emails asking for help regarding my billing. Being I am unable to attend due to medical reasons I was hoping they would do something about my monthly charges...... it isn't cheap! I have finally heard back from one of the people I sent emails to. Like typical Vigor process I get the run-a-round because they pull the "we never got your emails" thing. They won't talk to the coaches that actually care about you, they will talk to the one that will tell them whatever they want to hear. At this point I am so sick of the B.S. I have asked to be let out of my contract. Of course "there is a cancellation fee." So, just so I can be done with this place I will be paying that fee. Just another way for them to get more money out of me. Now lets talk about some of the coaches. While all of the coaches are very knowledgeable, only some are helpful. When you get told "I'm not here to be liked" and "you don't have to be here", should go to show how much they don't care because it really doesn't do much to motivate you. Now, don't get me wrong, some of the coaches are wonderfully helpful and caring, the key word here is SOME. However, again, it is obviously clear that the goal of most employed at Vigor is only money. If you have money to burn and need help getting into shape, Vigor is a great place. If you have medical issues or don't mind being treated like all you are is money, Vigor is a great place. But, if you have medical issues and do everything you can to afford going here DO NOT DO IT! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU ONLY YOUR MONEY!

Every workout leaves me feeling stronger, more energized, and genuinely supported. They offer a lot of variety, and the team really meets you where you are while helping you push to be your best. Cari, the owner, is incredible. Gracious, hardworking, and the kind of person who sets the tone for the entire experience.

I talked with Jason and got a tour of the studio before their soft opening and it looks really cool. The 60 minutes clases are split in spin/strength/yoga. Pretty complete workouts. Highly recommended to get back in shape. Also, I think they will be offering Child Care at certain times.
