The only thing I would slightly ding them for is that they arrived pretty much at the end of the appointment window. However, Chris kept me updated on his status. We had the same 2 professional and kind technicians both times. They were quick, efficient and courteous. They cleaned the fireplace very well and offered to throw out the old log that was left in there. They even remembered that we had a kiddo who loved watching them and conversed with them. Very kind, very professional and will recommend 100%! They will be the ones we stick with for all future cleanings.

So we meant to get it looked at in the off season, but forgot. So come this fall, we started calling some of the bigger and closer chimney places, but they didn't seem to want to try to fit us in this season or didn't even know if they serviced our type of fireplace. We didn't seem like a big priority. So I saw how many good reviews Chimney Care Guys had, and asked my husband to call them. Husband handled 95% of the experience and it was excellent, they were so helpful and renovated our fireplace so it's now remote control operated (read: idiot proof!) and clean and no carbon monoxide! I'm very disappointed with my experience with this company. I felt like the salesman who came out…read morerecommended a significant amount of work that was unnecessary, and the repair they ultimately offered was extremely overpriced in my opinion. The price they quoted me was around $3,000, and I've included some pictures below. What concerns me most is the lack of trust I now have in their recommendations. I previously hired this company to do tuckpointing work for me. About three years later, I contacted them about touching up a few areas, and I was told the work was already in bad shape. When I reminded them that they were the ones who had performed the original work, the response was essentially, "Oh, we can just repair these couple of bricks. It's not a big deal." After that experience, and now being presented with what I believe is an unnecessarily expensive repair, I simply don't feel comfortable doing business with this company anymore. When you hire a company and spend good money on their work, you expect fair pricing, honest recommendations, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, that's not the experience I had.
