He and his sous chefs Jacob and Michael are true professionals. Lucca was able to adapt to our kitchen without missing a beat. For the cooking class, he taught us how to prepare: fresh pesto, handmade pasta (tagliatelle), branzzino, calamari, bruschetta, mussels and clams, and a beautiful chocolate cake. For the private dinner, he prepared: smoked tuna, octopus salad, seared fish and tiramisu. We also ate at their restaurant which was homely and very local. The menu is not in English, a good sign! Highly recommend eating at their restaurant at the very least!

It wasn't very busy and everyone there was Italian. The waitress didn't speak English and there was no English menu. Our meal was delightful. My husband and I each had a pasta dish. Both were delicious, simple, homestyle italian cooking with very fresh ingredients. It was the perfect first lunch on our vacation. The atmosphere is so relaxing. There is an outdoor terrace with a partial view on the lake and no one else is around because it is not located in a touristy area. Prices were excellent. I wish we could have eaten there again before we left. I definitely recommend it for those who are looking for great authentic casual Italian food. Yum!!

I visited this lovely restaurant on my last night in Italy. I was promised an amazing view of Lake Como and amazing Italian food. I was not disappointed by that promise. We went out onto the terrace and enjoyed Prosecco with Prosciutto wrapped breadsticks while taking in the magnificent vista. Mountains, lake, boats...just beautiful. We took it all in. Oh, yes, all of it, before heading indoors for dinner due to the impending rain. Many companies take guests to dine here, so the restaurant offers menus in both Italian and in English. The employees speak good English, as well. We started dinner with a nice chilled white wine. I don't remember what it was, but it was magnificent! Dinner for me consisted of risotto with martini, tuna, and arugala. It was the best risotto I've ever had, hands down! My friend had the gnocchi with ham and quite enjoyed it. We did not order another main dish after this, because what we had was very filling. Instead, we went straight for dessert accompanied by a flute of dessert wine! Don't mind us! We all chose different desserts. I had the warm pear tarte and highly recommend it. Others ordered the chocolate, sorbet, creme brulee, and yogurt parfait. No complaints from anyone! Everything was absolutely delicious! To our surprise, this was followed up by creme and berry shooters and an assortment of mini cookies. Come here and have your own amazing experience. You won't regret it!

Our server, whose last name was Silvio, is a part of that family history. He was pushy and a bit bossy about what we should and shouldn't order, what we could and couldn't drink, and flat out overrode us on a number of our choices. The only thing he was wrong about was the rabbit ragout, and he saw how disappointed we were when he bullied us into not ordering it...that he said he had made an extra one for us "by mistake," in effect giving us a pricey but free dish. The food was extraordinary. The standouts were the rice and fish as well as the rabbit. The desserts were also delicious. The joint specializes in fish, so get as much of that as you can.

The friendly staff apologized and recommended restaurant Silvio, they said the food was amazing and that they would still be open. When we arrived at the restaurant it was now 9:50, the restaurant was about to close at 10pm. The friendly and accommodating staff did not hesitate for one moment and graciously welcomed our party of 5 to a table. They encouraged us to place our orders since the kitchen would be closing soon. We never once felt rushed, the friendly staff chatted with us and shared a laugh or two while offering plate recommendations. That is not even the best part, the food began to arrive and we quickly realized just how amazing this dinner was going to be. My husband and I shared the fried fish over rice as it's for two, absolutely delicious! My daughters ordered the tagliatelle with tomato sauce with cheese (omg wow! My 4 year old devoured the plate without a word!) my lucky husband was given a bite and said it was the best pasta he's ever had. My other daughter aged 6 ordered the white fish special they had and it was cooked perfectly and every bite was full of flavor. My mother ordered the suckling pig, slow roasted for countless hours, melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor and the most amazing sauce. My mom usually hates sauce, always asks for it on the side and usually never eats it. She practically licked the plate. As if that wasn't enough, we ordered the crème brûlée, chocolate molten cake, their famous vanilla gelato with tangerine flavors and apple crumble desserts. Thank goodness we were able to walk off our food. We are only here for a few days and with all of the amazing restaurant choices we can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and have the best experience at restaurant Silvio!

We started with a private wine tasting with small bites in the restaurant's wine cellar. It turns out that Luigi is not only a chef and a driver, but also a wine sommelier. He was fun and outgoing as he taught us a lot about area wines. He taught my husband how to properly open a bottle and serve it. Little did we know that was going to come in handy a little later in the evening... After our tasting, we went upstairs and were seated in one of their dining rooms with a view of the kitchen. Another table ordered a bottle of wine, so Luigi had my husband come up and open and serve the wine to show what he had learned. At the time, there were only two other couples in the dining room and this got us all chatting and friendly as they rooted my husband on. Dinner was delicious and plated beautifully. During the evening, Luigi would pop in and out of the dining room and kitchen in between holding other tastings in the cellar and transferring people to and from their hotel. Because he is a jack of all trades, it did take a while after we were done with our meal to get a ride back to our hotel.
