It is the most prominent bar you can see if you're standing anywhere in the square and its location pretty much overlooks everything. Yes, it's a power location! Their drinks are awesome as is their food. If you're there just for drinks or something, they will give you some bar food (peanuts, chips, small pastries, bread/honey) so it's awesome. You can't not go to Nicolosi without visiting this very central cafe for a quick bite.

It's always best to eat any pizza at any restaurant right after it's popped fresh out the oven. My wife had the burger, Il Campione. Beware, this burger meat is of "Maialino nero" which literally translates to black little pig. Also known as Nero Siciliano, this breed of pig is only found in Sicily. Everyone seemed to enjoy their cigarette smoking at their tables so we were bombarded with stinky exhaust from the busy street and second hand smoke. the food arrived big burgers and pizza but only one napkin , we asked for more three times it only took twenty minutes for them to arrive after I finished a 250 gram burger. When a server finally came we asked for stuff to pack left overs and ordered desert 10 minutes later desert arrived and the server set it on a table filled with dirty plates and food that never was packaged for take away . The server brought no forks , so we went inside to ask for forks. They did not give us any instead said they would bring them immediately. They took their time And finally the manager brought us dessert forks to a uncleared table and apologized a little for the dessert mishap but made excuses that is because it's busy while hanging on to our forks still finally I asked if I could have forks so I could eat and leave. this restaurant is not cheap and charged 1.50 euro a head for service that did not exist . When we paid he was so kind as to take away 2 euro from 80.00 euro bill . So when it comes to Al Pero I say Al Pero there are many other good restaurants in Nicolosi that have inside and outside service for those who don't want to breath Second hand smoke and have great food and service.
