Mixed feelings, this is what I have about the NachtKantine. Most of all, the NachtKantine is a good…read morelunch alternative close to my office area. I have been there regularly for lunch with my co-workers and at one company celebration. I would not dare to question the quality of the food there. It is pretty good and one of the best in the area. What really stands out there, without any doubt, is their Pizza and their well served (cheese)burger, which is really not small and comes with lots of fries plus ketchup and mayo. Besides their regular menu, they also offer a weekly business lunch menu, with very reasonable prices. And there is almost always either a Salad or Soup Buffet inclusive in their meals. Unfortunately, what also used to stand out was that how long it could take for you to get your food. It could take up to one hour sometimes, if you ordered it after 12:15 pm. But fortunately they are getting better and better since their expansion/renovation. Now they even have a new Biergarten. Until now I have only explored the Kantine side of the NachtKantine. And here is where the Nacht part comes in to place... They have also a lot of activities at night: live music (LiveKantine), special parties, and dancing nights (TanzKantine) Tango on Tuesdays and Salsa on Wednesdays. I really want to go there and try out the Salsa class there.

There are huge crowds in attendance here but it seems like quite a number of individuals come here to drink and attempt to salsa dance while bumping into others recklessly. There are definitely some great dancers here but far and few in between compared to other places in Munich. It's worth a shot if you are with a group of friends but quite the trek from downtown.

She gets mad and makes a face when you ask for a to go wrapper. What happened to the blond with the strong accent? She was friendly and welcoming. Everyone loved her. She was good with people. My friends and I used to love grabbing slices here, but not any more because of the rude African girl. We ask if something is being made, and she says 'no'. What's on the pizza? 'Tomato'. What else? 'Dirty look'. She is so difficult and bad for the restaurant. I used to come here twice a week, but now it's twice a month. Every time she works the window, I walk away pissed off and regretting that I stopped.

This is a really delicious spot. It's more than it appears from first glance walking past. Slices are large and reasonable with a cheese slice (which is huge and cut in threes) running only 2.50. My fiancee had slices from here like 4 days in a row for snacks and lunch. One night, we were out late and decided to get dinner around 10:30pm and this was literally the only spot we found around with warm food available. They let us come sit inside and enjoy. Fair prices and good pizza. They have a range of flavors usually available - some veggie and some with meats.
