We thought he was just busy during our first visit (which took 2hrs 40mins to be seen). Other patients in the waiting room graciously told me that the Doctor is really slow with each patient and one must expect to wait a long time every visit. Some even told me it takes long just to pick up a prescription. We gave him a second try and our second visit was exactly the same experience as our first - about 2.5 hours long. Isn't this some kind of malpractice? Conclusion: we will not come back here nor can I recommend this doctor to anyone.

I recently had my initial visit to Dr.Fu's office and it went great. I was not seen by the doctor himself, but the NP was truly wonderful. She introduced me to the doctor, and he seemed kind from our brief introduction. My only concern that I have is the level of professionalism with the front desk staff. They are all very young and it is great that they are getting started in healthcare right away. However, I am a nurse and one of the most important things taught to healthcare providers is maintaining patient confidentiality. Unfortunately, the front office staff provided incorrect contact information to someone I am assuming they are contracted with. This company then contacted me to discuss my health plan at my place of work. They never attempted to reach me with my personal contact information provided. This is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I never consented to being contacted at work and it made me extremely uncomfortable. When I called to speak to a supervisor, I was told that there wasn't a supervisor in the office and that I would receive a call back. The following day I received a call from the front desk staff stating the doctor wanted to discuss this matter with me in person at his office. After informing the staff that I live an hour and a phone call is sufficient for me, the front desk staff just repeated that the doctor wants to see me in person. I do not feel that I should be responsible for a 3 hour round trip commute because they made a mistake. Overall, I feel that if a company makes a mistake, they should address that mistake with compassion and understanding. I may be very upset about this situation, but I am also a nurse, and I get that accidents happen. If this office apologized and made time to speak with me I would not have gone as far as writing a review, but instead they made this difficult. The staff there need to learn from this and ensure that they hold themselves to a higher standard of maintaining patient privacy.

My wife was referred to Merced medical clinic located at 650 west olive ave in Merced California. She was referred to Dr. uppal who is supposed to be a GI doctor. She was referred for constant vomiting and nausea. We saw him and was sent for ultrasound. She had a follow up after the ultrasound. She was asked by the Dr. why she came back like he didn't know why she was there. Then said nothing was found and she was fine. Also atfer he touched her belly saying i had muliple hernias in my stomach. This was In October of 2024. We asked three times if we had a co pay and they said no. Then we get a bill in mail for 30 dollars. For two visits. So I've been trying to pay this bill for months now but they changed their hours to Saturday only from 8-5. I go in there to pay my wife's bill on Saturday the 24th of may 2025. I was greated by two ladies in the billing department. They said that someone else was coming to collect the payment. While waiting I was sharing our experience with the doctor to the staff. Saying that I've seen five different Gi doctors and uppal was by far the worst I've encountered. I was explaining that he didn't now what he was doing, that the staff up front called my wife stupid because uppal doesn't handle vomiting and nausea. Huh, I said that's funny. That why I was seen by one before. They were shocked to find out that my wife symptoms have not gone away. I was saying how the front reception was very rude and called us dumb for being referred there. Which we didn't want to go there to begin with. I have been seen by the other two gi doctors and never heard of this guy before. In comes the lady that was gonna take payment. She over heard me saying the truth to the staff in billing. When she came out she was by far the rudest person I've ever encountered. She pointed a finger at me and said you listen here! She began to tell me that he is the best Gi doctor in the entire United States as I giggled she began to get more angry. She stated that I need to leave the building immediately or she was gonna call the cops. To which i said was like please go ahead and call them. Stating all im here for is to pay a bill. Then this lady began to tell me that she was uppals daughter and she was also an md. She said she didnt want me there anymore Becuase she did not want me to scare the patients in waiting room. Which i said well they should know who they're dealing with. She then told me I don't have to pay the bill. I said ok good Becuase they didn't even help her and treated her badly. She then got out from behind the billing counter and got in my face telling me to get out now! As she's raising her voice. She then walked me out of building locking door behind me so that I wouldn't come back in. The ladies behind the counter were in shock by the way uppals daughter treated me. Oh before she walked me out she stated she knew who I was and that I was referred by the doctor in the near building. I laughed and said then who am I. She then asked the two girls behind the billing counter and they said they didn't know who I was Becuase I didn't say. Then she was just pissed and walked me out. I'm sorry but this place need to be shut down. They charge you for a service that and I quote he doesn't do vomiting and nausea. So why was I billed and why does my wife still feel sick. Membrane sweep after I had told him I didn't want to induce labor only asked for a cervical check, I believe babies come out when they're ready, he knew that but started the sweep anyway. He talked about doxxing "casually" after I said no vaccines. He made me tear during childbirth sticking his hands inside for no reason, the baby was coming out just fine. He winked at me during a check down there... I said no to stitches because I felt I was fine and he said "woman in other countries don't get stitched up either and they end up really lose down there" the more procedures he makes the more money he makes. He tried forcing me to induce right at 39 weeks. He was often talking himself up, saying how the nurses were wrong about something, calling them out infront if everyone. I'm sure he's a narcissist. He's also just very old. Also said I didn't have to take the blood test for pregnancy because "only chubby chicks have gestational diabetes " another doctor in office said that was wrong and to take the test, gave me the blood work order... i asked for the female doctor again but he wouldn't let me see her... I haven't gotten over all the trauma, I am pregnant again with no prenatal care I will birth this baby in my tub before I risk getting him as delivery doctor again.
