Just an Ikea store like any other one you have wandered into at their other worldwide locations except for signage is in local language - luckily a lot of the staff speak good English! . Good prices so easy to buy needed items, and also huge variety. This time saw some lovely Art Deco inspired lights which were decently priced. I also took a break after the shopping and ate in the cafeteria. The fish was super moist and I liked the tarter sauce which had pearl onions. Got a free cup of Joe due to being a Family card holder but the first machine I went to was broken :( Low score for that well as the women's bathroom's were absolutely filthy and super humid. read more

I must be honest; I'm not a big fan of Ikea, at least not like my wife. To me the best thing about this place is the food! I love eating meatballs here and sipping a glass of wine as I lick the cranberry sauce off my fork. But of course you have to do some real shopping here too and this time she was in search of several things. The meatballs help after the first hour but then the place gets old and boring and I get tired of looking down and following the arrows. I then head to the children's section. Lots of great stuffed toys and games and such to keep an old guy like me entertained. When that gets old, I like going to the photograph/frame section. I buy frames every time I go and even once in a while stick a picture in one. There is also a bit of a crafts section with different papers, colored pencils, markers, etc. So if you have to go to Ikea and really don't want to, use these tips to occupy yourself until you get to the meatballs. read more

Your standard IKEA, but this one seems a bit more run down than most. Lots of construction work going on inside and outside in the parking lot made the store hard to navigate. Come with cash or bring your credit cards, there's no ATM inside. read more

Well it is IKEA, what can you do. But the service is especially bad in the IKEAs in Belgium. Whenever some circumstances make me go there, I wonder when people will realise how bad the quality is and that the prices aren't good at all if you think that one has to do half of the work alone. ...then they claim to be environment-friendly? - That's a laugh. Just look at all the grabage you buy with the furniture. After having assembled a shelf, it took me a week to get rid of the enormous amounts of package material. read more

I came to Brussels 3 weeks ago and in the interests of speed purchased thousands of Euro worth of furniture at Ikea Anderlecht since they were closest to where I live and I do not have a car yet. It has been the worst retail experience I have had in my life. I have been back and forth over 10 times. The queues are horrendous and the delivery service will only leave the items on the doorstep of the building not bring it to your apartment which does not help if the items are very heavy and you are on your own. There is no option to pay more to have this necessary service. Also I can't begin to describe all the mistakes they made. They cancelled an order arbitrarily, then they came with a delivery on a date that they had told me was unavailable and I was not home. They also send you around from pillar to post as none of them seem to be aware of what the other is doing. Next, I went back especially because there were screws missing in a box and after waiting at customer service for around an hour was sent home with a replacement they assured me was complete. When I got home I found the same items missing again. It takes me 45 minutes to get to Ikea but I will have to go back because Ikea customer service who I called to check if the items were in stock, is completely unreliable. They assured me that they would call me back and never did. All in all a horrendous experience! read more

Ikea has a good marketing team, but this time it exposed the customers to incredible bad (electronic) music or better call it noise. We had to leave the shop as quick as possible. read more

The best! One of the few retail chains in Belgium with decent opening hours and a customer-friendly policy: 90 days' right of exchange (in Zaventem, you will even get your money back for exchanged articles, not just a voucher), open till 8 pm (9 on Fridays), and of course affordable Ikea furniture! My favorite store. (Also, I think that employees are in general more friendly in Zaventem than e.g. at Ikea Anderlecht). read more
