Very cool place to go to for home decor ideas. They have demo rooms throught the floors, a kids rompus room, cafeteria with buffet featuring their favorite frozen foods with meals as low as $5 and unlimited fountain/cofee/tea for just a couple of dollars! There is ample parking in the lot and when you exit there are rope stations that you can use to tie your stuf up and load to the car. You can easily kill half a day roaming about, they have specials sprinkled throughout the sections and I really liked the do it yourself shelving area, but the clearance section is downstairs on the first level near the registers. That's where you can piece together some furniture and let the handyman in you really frolic. The frozen yogurt is great and also just few dollars. I'd go back just for that PS: I never dare go to popular shopping places during peak times, so I can't speak to any madness that people experience because they like shopping during mob hours read more

Drove 30 minutes to my closest IKEA store in Elizabeth, NJ to return a $15 marketplace item. Despite "pre-returning", I had to wait over an hour to hand over this item. This is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for such a basic return. Think twice before purchasing anything, since you will not want to experience their return process if you change your mind. Buyers be warned! read more

I came here to take a stroll and get a slice of the IKEA chocolate cake. The cake unfortunately was dry and old. I've had it from two other IKEA locations before so I know this is not how it is supposed to taste like. The workers at the quick serve food area (located next to the checkout) were disorganized and kept asking us what we ordered when someone just took our order a minute ago. Some of the items were not fully stocked or neatly organized on the floor. There is only one checkout lane and even with more than 8 cashiers, the line takes a lot of time. read more

This is one of the older IKEA stores in the area. One perk is the 3.5% sales tax. Its showrooms are nice; visual merchandising is on point and I like getting ideas walking through. You can watch low flying planes pass by from the IKEA restaurant, and the food goods grocery area before you exit the store is usually well maintained and has good stock. However, no matter which IKEA store you go to, it's never a cake walk going through the stock aisles where you play the game of "but the tag says it's supposed to be here... why is it not here?" - the universal experience. read more

My family and I swung by to get some inspiration to design our new room. My 20 months old son love the showroom as it keeps him entertained and playing pretend in various type of rooms. This will definitely be a great place for those indoor days to keep the kiddo occupied. While Ice cream and hotdog was promised to my little one, there was none available at their market bistro which are found after the cashiers. This was a disappointment. They only offered bottles of soda, while they ran out of everything on the menu. So we proceeded to the cafeteria for their famous swedish meatballs. The cafeteria displays were empty and dark. They did serve their meatballs but we only got 8 and told that was they were to only serve that many. We ask for drinks, but their soda fountain and coffee machine broke down. So we ate the meatballs in sadness, only to find that our son dislikes it and enjoys chucking them onto the floor. Maybe my son knows something about the service and food than he lets on... read more

I've been here several times and found they have decent inventory and keep the store pretty organized and clean. The customer service isn't great but I've found that to be a typical IKEA thing. read more

Came here for the 75th anniversary celebrations and was able to get a free $20 gift card for being one of the first 75 people in line. They also had a wheel that you could spin for additional free prizes. I won a grill set, which was a tongs and spatula set--lightweight but sturdy and can't complain since it was free. Had their $2 breakfast plate but was a little disappointed that they only had fries instead of the breakfast potatoes that were advertised. The eggs tasted like they were powder; sausage was decent; but the pancakes and fries were delicious. Also, the coffee was very diluted and I probably wouldn't pay $1 for the mug but ikea family members get a complimentary mug to use so be sure to sign up! In terms of their furniture, etc., mostly good quality for the price. I bought a $0.49 dish brush, and the quality of this is better than any dollar store brush. Also picked up a ceramic toothbrush holder and soap pump set for $10; and spent the rest of the $20 on a couple hot dogs, froyo cones, and jar of orange/elderflower marmalade. read more

Worst customer support ever, especially the guy at the lost and found. Lost my car keys in the store, went to customer service for help, the dude told me I had to fill a form and they will contact me when they had it. And he straight up told me to wait until someone turned it in to lost and found. The problem is, when you lose your car keys, someone is going to pick it up and try to drive your car away (i have a Audi and a corvette key on the keychain). The only help I was asking is to have someone keeping an eye on my car while I go back to the store and look for my keys, so I don't have to stand in the rain next to my car until MIDNIGHT hoping someone could turn the keys in. If the keys don't show up I can't even go back home with my dining table. The guy didn't even try to help, like he don't even care about others, as a human being. I pushed him to call security for me (yeah finally). The security guy was very understanding of my situation, and he parked his patrol car next to mine while I went back to the store to look for my keys. It literally took me 5 minutes to find my keys. To the guy: next time you got into a similar situation, I really hope no one would help you. read more

Never really got the idea of the maze design. I'm sure they try to keep customers inside and have them buy more and more. But for me it was just give up. I needed to return to the show room to make sure I am getting the right table. Once I saw the way I need to go back just to check it I have up. They should have options for shoppers who want to get out or to the cashiers without Going through the whole way of the maze they built here. Overall IKEA is great. But their selling tactics can sometime be annoying. Big tip: let them deliver. Minor $ for a big delivery. read more

IKEA is a DIY furniture warehouse that whole families often tackle together. And on some days I'm super excited to walk down their aisles; however I hate it on the days when all of the tristate area seem to have the same idea. IKEA offers assembly and delivery for a fee allowing you to fully furnish your home all from one warehouse if you so choose to.. and for a fairly reasonable price. There's a cafeteria if you need a food break and a free supervised play area for your potty trained children between 37" to 54" tall. But they really need to do something about their checkout lines. It's enough to make you regret spending even one minute in IKEA. I've ran across a fair share of cashiers that were more concerned with chatting with each other than actually trying to clear the lines. It also confuses me as to how they have so many checkout lanes closed when their lines are backed up to that degree (think Walmart). I wonder if they have ever timed how long their customers wait to checkout on average. I would be willing to shop here more often if their checkout process wasn't such a deterrent. read more

Ikea Restaurant review We had the famous meatballs, salmon balls, pork shank (these 3 dishes came with mash potato/gravy & green beans), marinated salmon, fries, Daim cake. Meatballs (have lingonberry/red sauce), marinated salmon & pork shank were tasty, salmon balls were ok/would not get again, fries were sad/not crispy, Daim cake was good/crispy/sweet. Fountain drinks were diluted. Use the Ikea Family card to get free coffee. read more

Still a great shopping experience. Lost a little of its luster. Feels stale! Great deals on knock down furniture always! Great houseware sections. Upset that dining room was still closed. Nice break to eat after two hours of shopping to get energy for two more! Quite a few furniture items out of stock. Recommend at least twice a year visit. read more

This place is garbage. No good public transit options, so if you don't have a car you'll need to call a Lyft like i did. Then when you get here, and if you're shopping with a significant other, you'll spend hours trying to find the right table and chair combo, probably getting into a few fights as you try to reconcile your different tastes. Ok, so now you've finally compromised to the point that you both get something you don't even want, you realize it doesn't have a bin number, so they give you a piece of paper to pick it up after purchase. You wait in line for 15 minutes to pay, and then another 30 minutes only be told that the table is out of stock, and then directed to another line to return everything you have, pride included. Also, it's my birthday. That last part was my mistake, though... should have never been born. Also, the meat balls suck. read more

Will give these guys a solid 4 stars. We placed an order through Click & Collect for a patio table. Didn't receive an email stating my order was ready to pick up but I drove there anyways during the pick up window (which was a gamble since we live in Philly). Happily, the table was already ready- they just forgot to mark it as ready for pickup. The whole thing from start to finish once we got there took about 5 mins- super quick and easy. Would highly recommend using the Click & Collect service if you don't want to lose your sanity for a few meatballs. read more

People have carried on for years about the cult of IKEA willingly walking endlessly in lobotic circles surveying a Scandinavian landscape of average to slightly above average home furnishings and housewares. Starving students love it and upscale hedge funders dig the circus. If you find a few useful items, so much the better. I find an annual visit amusing and definitely worth the time and aggravation. And... where else can you assemble an entire living room with an allen wrench in slightly less than a week. IKEA is always interesting. read more

Ever thought of requiring a game plan before entering the store? Any Ikea should come to mind. Is golden when you already know what is it that you need, check the website to identify the area that is in, locate it in the laberynth like map and make sure to memorize the shortcuts in order to get there without being distracted and overwhelm. Here, is not so efficient. My anxiety always goes an umph level whenever I come here. Not only, I have go through a nightmarish route to get here but by the time I get there and inside it feels overwhelming. Cons: Anxiety overload with cluster and lack of organizations. Lack of availability of products. Pros: lower income tax, cheap furniture. read more

I provided IKEA additional time for my delivery by two days and on the day of delivery, they tell me the one of the two deliveries being promised in an 11 hour period will now come the next day. Thus requiring two days in which I have to be available. The second delivery date was moved to my granddaughters birthday party. I will be getting a refund for both deliveries which totals thousands of dollars and never do business with them again. read more

The best time to go to Ikea, or really any store, is late on a weekday. A recent Tuesday evening visit bore this out. While it can be tricky getting there by car, the Ikea in Elizabeth offers plenty of parking, the usually great ideas for home decor and some tasty grub. On a Tuesday night, it also had the added benefit of being almost totally empty. Granted, it was a cold night in January, but this location's proximity to nothing makes it a good bet for time to stroll the aisles and displays at your leisure. Checkout was a breeze, too, with sufficient cashiers to make wait times minimal. Can't wait to go back! read more

3.5% sales tax....'nuff said. Or not....I will warn you up front, do not go here on the weekends. I would always go on weekday mornings/nights and ended up coming on a Saturday once... HOLY ****. Don't even bother. And all I wanted to do was go to the cafe upstairs for some cheap eats. Drove back to the mall and went to IHOP instead. It's awesome to just walk around...it's like Barnes and Noble...a good time killer. And if you're gonna buy stuff, well, even better ;-) Cheap to begin with + 3.5% sales tax = Disney World on Ice in the Middle of Atlantic City. AKA awesometacular. read more

IKEA - Best $13.33 meal - Furniture Stores Near Me - Elizabeth, New Jersey

From interior decorators on a budget to new tenants of a bare apartment, IKEA seems to be a hot destination for all who seek simplicity in their household products with contemporary flair. Its easy to get lost in this place as its spacious enough and crowded to a point where going back and forth can be a major chore. This IKEA is very family oriented, with a cafeteria to feed the hungry and a playground (pool of balls, mini slide, and balloons) for the little ones. While all IKEAs are nearly built the same, this one seems bigger and geared towards folks from NYC as they have a bus that comes here every 30 minutes on Sundays from 12-6PM. Something IKEA desperately needs to address is their lack of good customer service. Often times the employees haven't been very good about locating items, explaining how things work, and the customer service line is beyond horrendous. Whats worse is now IKEA has succumbed to charging people for the BAGS. Unless you are buying a couple of items, a bag is completely necessary for this place. Gone are the plastic bags of yesteryear and in are the new 50 cent blue bags that are the same material as the yellow shopping bags. They sure know how to make their money. read more

Tip: due to COVID-19 If you order to pick up at store, expect a long wait. If you return an item to the store expect an hour (sometimes 1hr plus) wait. There is a line to get in to the store which is reasonably quick. When you go, add additional time on your schedule. read more

If I could give a zero star or negative stars, I would. This is the most disorganized center. The workers cannot get any of the orders correct. We've ordered a whole custom kitchen through them. When it came time for shipment, we never got the full order. And the ones that did come in were the wrong sizes. Turns out the team who came to measure our kitchen did not measure correctly. How do you miss 6 inches of a whole wall? We never got our dishwasher. The whole return process was a nightmare. After multiple visits and waiting in line for more than 1 hour straight, the rude workers kept messing up and starting blaming the faults on us. Worst customer service ever! We decided to give it another go and pickup a new table in the store. Of course, the item we pick have to be packed by their team. We waited 1 hour for our product to be ready for pick up. We get home and open all the boxes and holy carp - EIGHT legs? Are you kidding me, IKEA??? They gave us two of the same boxes! How we are missing a box and have 8 legs for a table?! How can you mess up so badly? This is the worst! Do not trust their team to do anything. You might be okay with the ready to go products. Everything else is not worth the heart attack! read more

I mean, it's IKEA. If you don't want to deal with hordes of people and screaming children while maneuvering those oversized shopping carts, then come during off-peak hours (Mondays at 10am, Wednesdays at 1pm etc). I've been on a kick with eating cupcakes with buttercream frosting, so I decided I would start baking my own. Came here to pick up a few mixing bowls. Left with two sleeping bags, succulents and way too many things. The cashier rang up a tea towel that scanned in at $11,000. After a few attempts, and unsuccessfully able to ring up the correct price (not $11,000) she asks, more stating, "You dont really want these do you?" Well, cause it's IKEA and you really just want to get the hell out towards the end, you say "Yea, no not really" (they were kinda a gift anyhow, so wasn't committed to it in the first place) Also, putting together IKEA furniture (more than one-dimensional or 3-step process) is the worst. If you really want to test your marriage, put together a Queen-sized bed frame (with drawers) and see how long you can go without yelling at each other, dropping a board on someone's toes, or wondering why you let your husband talk you out of paying someone the $55 to build it for you. Oh, and don't eat the Swedish meatballs cause yea, horse meat All in all, IKEA is wonderful and cost-effective. You get what you pay for so don't come in with high expectations. Also super excited to see their pet furniture line! read more

OK.. IKEA... if your items didn't save the life of my homes a number of times, I would have given you 1 star... how are you going to have someone purchase not one, but TWO items.. and have to pay for extra gas, tolls, and valuable time to have to trek all the way back to Elizabeth because there were PARTS MISSING! Not cool... not at all... I mean, we already know how tedious and frustrating putting some of your items together can already be.. but to have to stop when you're finally on a roll because pieces are missing... how does that happen? This review is not for the plethora of wonderful items that you have, the tasty meatballs, gravy, and lingonberry jam that we nosh on when we're famished from walking down your well lit and well staged aisles... or the cute and really strong candles that you sell for next to nothing....
