Great store with an easy location. IKEA is kid friendly and has so many unique and gorgeous finds! The furniture, while you have to assemble it yourself, is modern and chic -as are the decorations, appliances, and other such furnishings. Whether you want muted, bold, or fun -IKEA can match your aesthetic desires. IKEA kindly provides free lockers with keys for storing coats and non-essential items! The employees were also very friendly. My only critique is the bathroom near the restaurant on the top floor -it smelled strongly of old urine. For food, skip the IKEA's Bistro restaurant and head down to the first floor checkout! You can get a tasty hotdog and drink combo for €1.50! read more

Ikea is such as great place to hang out. The one near Tempelhof make it easier for the people who living in the center of Berlin to visit. You don't have to go to far far away for furnitures. This ikea is big enough to walk around for hours. The cafeteria is really nice decorated. It offers different areas for different costumer needs. Such as smoking area, playground for kids and etc. Mostly when I am here, never forgot to have myself some Swedish meatballs. And as usual if you have a ikea family card, coffee is free. Plus the view of this place. Surely made it a nice place to have a lovely tea time (or coffee time). There is a reason why many people like to shop in ikea, including me. For me, I really like how convenient of the system here. Everything is really well organised. The same floor, near the cafeteria, you can find all inspirations you need. From different rooms to little decorations and it changed time to time. Really nice to hang around. when you need something, just write down the number of the products, and look it up later in the store house, which is the ground floor. I like they make an area just for the green lover. Full of different garten's tool and plants. From real plants to fake one. Various choices. I never missed this place, every time I visit here. It also got nice parking place, no worries to find a spot even in the busy hour. The great part is, if you didn't find anything that you want at ikea, there are still other furniture markets just close by. So you can save some time on traveling. read more

What a nightmare. Out of my 3 interactions with this service all of them were bad. First i had a delivery order, and they expect you to book a parking space for them for the entire day. Otherwise they either just throw it out kf the van or just keep driving and don't bother delivering it. So the total delivery cost turns out to be 110€ WHICH IS INSANE for me as a student to pay 1/4 of the cost of the items as an additional cost. Then their click and collect service is also insane. First they confirmed my order, then an hour later refunded one of my table legs. So i would have to order it again and pay for the delivery again. I called up their customer support and was told i would have to pay a full fee of a second delivery service for them to come and bring the things to the desired location. Which is ridiculous and i did not do. And as the last straw, i was told that the table leg would be available for pickup today (a week after) and that their customer service would contact me and deliver the item free of charge as we had such a bed experience. Never heard from them again. And neither was the leg there. They had a show piece which they didn't want to sell me and the sales rep told me it would be available agian next October(in one years time). So now i have a leg and table top and the next one is to arrive in a year. So i went to the reclamation booth. For the third time ( where magically their managers and responsible reps are always somehow not available at the moment) And instead of all the promised services got the information that the service rep was wrong and that the leg will be available in a few days. So if i pay for it it would get delivered free of charge. But would still have to pay for the item. So my hours of lost nerves and time and also my hurting back after carrying everything upstairs myself is worth 10€ to them apparently. Never again read more

IKEA and I have been seeing a lot of one another late. Last month saw a kitchen remodel in our flat, and the planning that went into it has required at least four or five visits figure out the specifics of what we were getting, and then buying the additional bits and pieces to go inside. I admit, this place is a terror, but only when you make it that way. A few secrets: -Make your trip on a weekday -Go the hour before it closes (if you know what you want) -Learn the shortcuts Keeping these things in mind, we have not only been able to beat the crowds, but maneuver quickly through the sections, since we know how to bypass them. Anyway, we ordered our kitchen and were told that, with custom countertops, it could take up to 6 weeks. Yet everything was done in 3. We opted for delivery but chose to put the kitchen together ourselves. It has been a journey, but if you have the time and the will, do it yourself. It's exhausting, but the result is having a kitchen you can really be proud of, as we are of ours. read more

No credit cards accepted - what a shame! Apart from that: Cheap furniture that looks OK sometimes even great. Prices are excellent, unfortunately the quality is reflecting the price most of the times. I would easily pay 50% more to get 50% better quality. It's Ikea. What is there to say? Ikea is Ikea is Ikea... True yellow and blue It looks like an Ikea anywhere, at least like the ones I have been to in the States. Except at the ones in Germany (and probably all in Europe) you can order wine. But the wine is crap, so don't order it. But sometimes a little wine is what gets me through the maze of Ikea. I think that casinos and Ikeas are designed by the same people. Crazy folks who want to trap you inside. Ikea - the store of seasonal furniture. Use it for a year and then throw it away when you move to a different dorm. Though, our kitchen is Ikea and is holding up ok. And our closet. And our kitchen table. Cash or EC card only. Ikea as everyone knows it and likes it....useless cheap kitchen tools and pigging out on swedish sweets and chips at the end....at least that has been my experience. The good Thing here, is its central location....many other relaxed shops in the area like baumarkt or moebel kraft, which offers a Nicer collection. read more

IKEA. Same here as in the states. Oddly, one of the very few places that felt instantly familiar... now thats a formula that sticks. The food offerings are different in the restaurant, certainly due to local preferences - but not by much I might point out - but the cola is some awful generic crap - they need to just get Coke. Bleah. I was here to find a pillow and some hangers for my 3 month rental in Berlin, and was rewarded with - exactly what I wanted. Note: The signs in Sudkreuz lie. Its not 7 minutes, more like 10 or so... and the walk itself is a rather odd route, but not unpleasant... So, if you need what they sell, by all means go and enjoy. Oh, out front is some very useful 'dog parking' for when the puppy is along for the journey. That was a nice touch. Note: They lost a star for crappy generic colas. ALSO: For some stupid reason they don't take MC or Visa - not even the debit cards. Silly. Another star gone for stupid cash out. read more

Worst experience in my Life. In 20 days they failed to deliver the furniture twice, while I wait half a day inside a empty home. I went four times in the line from customer service trying to fix the situation. The wait time always takes more than two one hour to see someone. The hot dog is right near so you don't starve while awaiting and they make a buck on your suffering. In the right top corner of your order is a number - this is what you are to them!!! read more

I love Ikea as it is cheap and about all I can afford lol. Since I don't have a car I especially like the central location of Ikea. The walk is a bit odd and about 7 minutes, but there are signs anywhere, so you'll know where to go. The only thing I don't like now, is that they are doing construction, which force you to walk all the way around and add about 2 minutes to you walk. The layout is as most stores, but I think a bit more confusing than other stores. Nonetheless, I think Ikea is great and I'll be back at one point or another. read more

Well everyone knows IKEA and unless you are well off and/or extremely determined it's pretty impossible to have a home that doesn't contain something from there. For me it is always a chore, never a pleasure, going to IKEA, if you walk it is not straightforward to get there, it's more convenient when you have a car for obvious reasons. It does provide plenty of opportunity to those looking to buy bargain basement build it yourself furnishings and ornaments and nick-nack's of differing qualities from very bad to reasonable. I wish they could make the IKEA experience a little more exciting somehow, and I don't mean adding any extra ingredients to their meatballs either....Yawn read more

This is probably the worst IKEA I have been to, out of maybe 5 or 6 I have seen in three different countries. Usually, I'm fine enough with the chain, but I've been here three times and have never left happy -- each time I went I had two major items to purchase, found them in the show room, walked through the rest of the store and into the warehouse, only to find that 4 of the 6 were not in stock. Asked for help each time with employees and only one of the three was helpful. My wife went here recently by herself, at 7 months pregnent, to buy a changing table for the baby's room, and was told she would be charged the 75 euro delivery fee for an employee to help her carry the table to our car in the parking lot. Bring cash foreigners! Like any other IKEA, you'll find a lot of your home goods for cheap here. However, Berlin has a lot of other great discount stores, so if possible check out others stores and compare prices. Also, get creative! I used shower curtains for my window curtains, because living in a dorm doesn't need 20 euro curtains. If you intend to return something, no one speaks English here. Hence, it can be a really difficult experience. If anything, try to talk with a young employee, because usually the younger people speak English quite fluently and/or are willing to speak English. read more

Horrible service. Spent more than 12 hours over 3 different days trying to pay for the SAME order, talking to different departments trying to understand why my IKEA card wasn't working. Then I was supposed to receive 500€ back as a rebate and of course I couldn't get them, which took a million calls. Avoid this hole. read more

Nice location, hit or miss service, frequently under stocked with popular items. Build quality of most items are substandard with ever higher pricing, it's not what it used to be. Unlike ikea in the rest of the world, they don't take credit cards. In short it's usually a big frustration to shop here. read more

After 2 calls from IKEA representatives promising the refund would be issued immediately, and 7 emails with your team, I still have not received the refund, or even a reply from your team. Horrible customer service, like everywhere in Germany, but you'd expect IKEA to sort themselves out. read more
