The food quality is HORRIBLE. We ordered the Spicy Poblano, as you can see from the picture, the avocados had many black spots. The manager was nice enough to replace the avocados only to receive hard and unripe avocados. Additionally, we ordered the Vanilla Ice Coffee and it was dosed with syrup. Manager also replaced that with Hot chocolate. The chicken tasted like it just came off the Sysco truck and went on the grill. The hashbrowns were burnt and had a terrible aftertaste. read more

This has probably become my favorite IHOP ever, and it's not just because it's the only halal IHOP in New Jersey (though that's mostly the reason). The quality of the food is very good, the restaurant is clean & well-maintained, and the staff are friendly, prompt, & energetic (which can be hard at 5am). We got there at 4:45am and we were seated quickly. This IHOP has a distinct halal menu filled will sweet & savory options (all cooked on "halal-only" grills); if that's not enough then you can request if items from the normal menu can be made halal. We ordered a few items, like the Crepe Combo (Strawberries & Cream) and Chicken & Waffles. The crepes were sweetened right, and the chicken was flavorful. We could also try some halal turkey bacon, a rare treat. The coffee and hot chocolate rounded out the meal well. Despite how crowded it was, the food arrived without much waiting time. Our waiter made sure we were taken care of, and he did it with a smile. I also admired how nice this IHOP branch looked, both inside and out. By far the best-looking one I've been to. Overall, I can't wait to come back, and I only wish more IHOP branches could become halal. read more

This is a great place if you want something basic for breakfast. I had the scramble egg bowl which is basically somewhat like a breakfast sampler just in a bowl all mixed together. It was a lot that I took some to go. Can't ever go wrong with coffee although nothing to magical about it. Pancakes were good but I've had better. I think these two dishes are the best. 2) I very much enjoy the 4 types of syrups. But the butter pecan and blueberry syrup are my favorites. 3) The spot is 24/7 & has lots of parking. I came in today and I walk in to 2-3 waiters just staring and making things uncomfortable. We get seated and our waiter looks at us and looks at his friend and they start laughing. At this time it feels like we are being judged. The waiter comes to us then walks away when he see's his friend and then does it again when more people come in. Just to talk to them leaving us there waiting. Then he comes and As I'm ordering and looking at the menu I ordered my first part and before I can order my second he takes the menu from me. The whole time eating all the waiters are running around being loud. Of course had to find my own syrup because my table had none even tho ihop is known for pancakes. This IHOP has a halal menu! All food is cooked in a separate grill. At this time they offer halal grilled chicken and Turkey bacon meals plus majority of the pancakes, crepes and French toast. It's nice because the food comes out with a halal toothpick sign so it doesn't get mixed up! I'm not too devout where I would request the separate grill, so I am hopeful in the future with enough demand there will be halal steak and other options. My southwest chicken burrito was amazing I've never been able to really have one in a chain restaurant before. Service was great as well. The women's bathroom was but no biggie. Every time we go to New Jersey we always stop at an IHOP. Today we stopped here. We were seated pretty quickly since we were given the option to sit in this walk way area. It was pretty tight but we were fine with that instead of waiting. The bathroom was clean and smelled good which always is a plus. The host and all the wait staff were friendly. Our server was Adamari. I had a burger and my husband had a Philly sandwich. He didn't really like it. Said it didn't have enough flavor. My burger was a typical burger. I never give IHOP the chance because it's usually a disappointment with their mushy pancakes, but this one last experience put the cherry on top. The service was incomparable to any other atrocious service you can possibly receive. What should've been about 40 mins of time spent there turned into 2 hours just off of simply waiting for our server. Only 5 tables were occupied with 3 servers and 1 host. We waited just about 30 mins just to order our drink. We figured to just rush and place our food order, too before she disappeared for another hour or so which went exactly that way. It seemed as though every question we asked brought our waitress to confusion and blank stares. After 2 long hours of suffering, we suffered more with a total of $50 for a short stack, breakfast sampler, side of hash browns and expired orange juice that tasted like an abomination. Our experience was finally brought to an end where our waitress also had troubles working the register, extending our "lovely" stay there. Oh IHOP, a lovely beacon of hope to those wandering the roads at night. Open far into the evening, offering hospitality to those searching for sustenance. This particular IHOP was especially good. I should admit, I don't typically enjoy IHOP- I tend to find it too sweet and filling. However, I have found the chicken fried steak to be particularly good. A nice dish, consisting of a variety of sides and a decent white gravy. The coffee was good too, and plenty. I did happen to attend this establishment with a group of friends. I cannot give the same praise for their meals, many of them were disappointed. The french fries were overly salty, a fried egg was runnier than some wished, and one friend was absolutely forlorn and anguished by their steak. Now, for those of you who would point to their folly- ordering something other than pancakes from the international house of such- I say some in my group found their meals too nauseatingly sweet. My chicken fried steak came with pancakes, but plain ones- these I found splendid. Another note- one friend happens to be a vegan. We came in long after they had changed to their late menu, and there were no options for him. I personally appreciate that this establishment tried their best to accomodate him, preparing a tomato soup. My friend was not a fan of the dish, however. If I could give one critique of this IHOP, it would be for them to offer more vegan options. If I can point to one aspect of this experience that was unanimously fantastic, it would be the service. Our waitress was a novice in the field- we came in on her first day. I should wish to apologize to her, bringing in a group of nine just as she began. But she took on the challenge with zeal. A kind woman, accommodating; she let my friend charge his phone and even helped us in some issues that came up with the bill. She will remain in our hearts forever, and I truly wish her well in all future endeavors. The pancakes were good, but not as "chocolatey" as before. All of our food was freezing, & a neighboring table had the same issue. The staff reheated it, but while eating, I realized it was extremely burnt. The waitress said this was because I asked for it to be warmed up. It is a IHOP. What more can i say haha! My wife and I used to come here more often, especially at 2 am! Our waitress used to be Rachel, I don't think that she works there anymore. She always took care of us very nicely! Over the years, the made a few changes. You used to get a real nice big pot of coffee, but now you get a much smaller pot. I guess they were wasting coffee? No big deal! Coffee is always decent here. It is always clean here, we have never had any issues with that. Recently we have gone back at our usual time (2 am) and they seem to be running out of stuff more than they used to. Again not that big of a deal. We are pretty flexible when it comes to our choices. What more can I say about this IHOP? It is an IHOP, and they are all the same. I've never really had a bad meal here. The service has also bee pretty good. Pancakes are always good. It is a pretty large IHOP. They also have a massive parking lot. When my wife and I worked nights, we really loved coming here. All in all, it is a nice IHOP. Never had any major issues here.
