We came to IHOP on a Sunday morning and overall had a pretty good experience. The decor inside was nice and had a cozy diner feel, but the seats and tables were definitely worn. The fabric on the seats was stretched and cracked in a few places, so it looked like they could use some updating. For food, we ordered the Oreo waffle combo and the cinnamon crepe combo. The Oreo waffle combo was really good -- the waffle was cooked well and the cheesecake filling on top was delicious. It came with eggs (we ordered them over easy), hash browns, and bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were good as well. The bacon that came with both combos was a bit overcooked, but still tasted fine. The cinnamon crepe combo was also very good. The crepes had a nice cinnamon flavor and everything was cooked properly. It also came with eggs over easy and hash browns, which were both good. That said, if I had to recommend one, I would definitely go with the Oreo waffle combo. Timing-wise, we arrived at 10:40, were seated at 10:55, and placed our order around 11:00. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out. The restaurant was definitely busy since it was a Sunday, so the wait was understandable, but if you want a quicker experience I'd probably recommend going on a weekday instead. Our server was friendly and polite, but you could tell they were quite busy managing several tables. Stopped by ihop in Sherwood Park with the family. Tried their chicken waffles and the chicken wasn't too hard, nor was it bland in taste. This was our first visit to this IHOP location and while a lot has changed during the pandemic time period (no multiple syrup flavours on the table, menus are printed on individual pages, have to provide information for your group for contact tracing purposes when you check in at the desk etc.) but our experience was good. The toddler really enjoyed having a high chair that allowed sitting directly at the table. The menu options, while more limited than on the full menu from pre-pandemic times, were good. I was quite pleased with my omelette and the kid loved the chicken. Service was slow-ish when the restaurant got busier but was on the whole a-ok. Drinks were refilled reasonably frequently as were the all-you-can-eat pancakes. The tv in our area was showing sports highlights which distracted the kid until seated in a direction facing away from it. read more

I was deceived when i showed up on pancake day and thought that everyday was infinite pankakes day. The next time I showed up (because I love pancakes) there was no infinite pancake day. I was not informed that everyday was not infinite pancake day. Still good tho yummy food. read more

I've been here a couple times since discovering that Denny's took Waffles off the menu. Each time the service has been great, we've always had great servers. The food has always been yummy too. Kind of like a Humptys. With emphasis on breakfast. Booths inside. And some tAbles. No TVs. Wait to be seated. Omelettes are $16 to $18. Potatoes in omelettes are filler as far as I'm concerned. And hamburger in omelettes? Weird. I ordered a plain omelette with mushrooms ham and peppers. Most of the stuffing was on the outside? Weird. Came with pancakes. Overall not worth $17.00. I will never support this American operation here. Not my idea but revisited this location! Happy to say the three of us were very happy. Food was hot and tasty and brought in a timely manner. Coffee pot quickly refilled without asking. Service very friendly and efficient even though restaurant was busy with Sunday lunch rush. Thank you for improving!! read more

This was fast seating, slow to get beverages, slow to take order, other tables got their food before we did & they arrived later than us. Waiter was distant, seemed unhappy. The person/runner that brought our food looked entirely miserable as she dropped our plates,turned on her heel and left. No clear gluten sensitive options. Our bill came promptly as we just finished eating....funny how when it comes to $$ there is service. Ive taken my family here and the food was decent. Although i will say that the server forgot how i wanted things cooked(eggs) and i asked for one substitution it was forgotten and over all service was on the slow side even though we were one of 3 tables in there. Polite and friendly service! The reason for my review is because i am a delivery driver also! I came to pick up food and drinks. The server helped me out getting the food in my bag, the manager(older, Italian maybe?) was quick to scold him on how i should put it in the bag myself because if "she spills it, it's her fault, you know!" I quickly told him their was no need for that and that we are in this together. He very rudely walked away. Like seriously? A tray with 2 child size drinks is what the server put in my bag, i put the rest in myself. He was nice enough to give me a hand. We used the call in program to arrange for seating as we had a special request and we knew it would be busy for Mothers Day. The manager and waitress were accommodating and so helpful. The food was really good I would recommend this IHOP to everyone! Don't let a few bad reviews spoil it. It was fantastic! read more

Our waitress was very good and it was clear that she was experienced at doing this. However, it took more than 35 minutes for our food to arrive and the bacon was under cooked and we had both ordered extra crispy bacon. The portions were small and generic. I expect it will get better after they find a way to speed up the kitchen, but the only real saving grace was our friendly and thoughtful server. read more

I ordered delivery order through skip dishes today because I was craving sweet stuff. When I first opened the take out which were red velvet and kids chocolate pancake, it looked plain and sad but taste matters more than presentation when it comes to take outs. But unfortunately, it didn't taste good either. The pancakes were dry and room temperature warm. This is my second time ever trying Ihop in my entire life and it sucks that they cannot make their signature pancakes delicious... i understand if I ordered their their burger set or something but this place is known for pancakes ....Anyhow it was edible so i ate most of it. We went in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was very slow. When I got there I went straight to the restroom, both stalls were without TP but someone was servicing them so no big deal, I decided to wait for her to be finished by sitting at my table with my family. There were only 2 other tables in use. We sat there for over 10 minutes before I finally had to ask someone to help us and get us some water. She came over and took our order. The majority of our group ordered crepes and the rest ordered sandwiches. She came back and told us that they were out of crepe batter and couldn't help us. At this point I was annoyed and decided to leave. I told the manager about our experience and he didn't really have much feedback. I told him about everything and the fact that there was garbage all over the floor. As I was telling him this, another customer not in our party agreed that the service and restaurant was lacking. We went next door to Hops N Drops. Great service and food. Next time I'll ship IHop. So disappointing. read more

Went in after the rush around 3 when it was dead, my friend got his food and drink before I even got my food, I finally got my food and was still waiting on my drink (about 40 minutes after we ordered), there was only 4 other tables there and the food was over cooked and not warm. this is the worst place to eat in the city they tried to bamboozle my 10 year old daughter into thinking she got the Grinchs green pancakes and got the most plan pancakes ever . Then when she called to talk to someone about it the lady was even ruder and hung up this is a ten year old child !! Do Not take kids to this place they will be highly disappointed !! read more

First trip to this newly opened location was very disappointing. We ordered the turkey and avocado Bennie. When it came out the poached eggs were over cooked, one was warm and the second one was cold to the touch, and was not served with the Turkey. We sent it back to the kitchen and waited at least 10 minutes before a replacement meal came out. The second meal was better still not hot and but this time did have the turkey with it. As the second meal was being eaten a large lump was found in the sauce. We assumed it was cheese and pointed it our waiter who was apologetic once again. At that point the meal was left on the plate. It was interesting to note that as soon as the first meal was sent back. The manager who had been on the floor disappeared. When we had a second issue the manager was still no where to be found. We asked the waiter if the manager had been notified about the problems with the meals and he said yes that she was too busy to do anything about it. The restaurant at this time had 2 sections closed and the restaurant was less than half full. We were charged full price for all meals. No complimentary desert or anything offered to us for our poorly made meal. If you are going to this restaurant better just stick with pancakes as it appears the kitchen staff can't handl anything more complex than that. It was very sad to see no support from the female manager on duty as the waiter was working hard to keep us happy and could only apologize as he served poorly made food. read more
