IHOP has been one our favorites for (wait for it! ) 55 years! Loved a Saturday brunch while at Univ of Houston. In Grad School at Baylor in Waco, our big date night was a bike ride to IHOP and SHARE one hot fudge Sundae. Back then they would add extra nuts and lots of whipped cream on request and total was $0.59 plus tax and a big dime tip! Well, this trip to historic Oxford to see the Broadway play about the Temptations ended with brunch at IHOP on Hamric/US 78 E. Jennifer was our superb waitress and was assisted by TJ in training. Both so friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our food- I had 2x2 senior breakfast. Their bacon was spot on, crispy but not burned. I can never finish 2 eggs, 2 bacons and 2 fluffy pancakes but you know who helps me out! Hubby enjoyed his BLT and fries too. I like the variety on their menu and senior discounts! Only downside is takes a while to get your food. About 5 min wait to be seated, 10 min for wait staff to take orders and 20 tilll food is ready. This was on a Wednesday at lunch time when they were about 60%_70% full. Everyone was so nice & acknowledged us several times including twice from host and several times from Jennifer & TJ. We will likely take a trip down memory lane and share a Sundae for our 53rd anniversary soon! read more

My husband and I ate at IHOP today in Oxford and were definitely not very happy with the taste of our omelettes. But worst of all is the cleanliness! If you look above your head at the AC outlets, and they blow white cold; they are Filthy!!!!!! It is so dirty all around the air vents and ceiling, perhaps, I don't know for sure but could possibly be "Black Mold"! We didn't finish our meal because we felt uneasy with that dirt and possibly mold blowing all around. Health department should investigate to get them to clean it up!!! Service was extremely slow as well. Sorry to have to leave a negative review, but as a Consumer myself, I take reviews into account and wish one of us had checked the reviews on this IHOP location before we ate there. Yes, it's IHOP, but I didn't get pancakes. I opted instead for a salad. It was really pretty impressive for a breakfast spot. A mix of romaine and spring greens, red onion, mushrooms, tomato, and avocado. They top it with grilled chicken breast and both halves of a grilled lemon. I also added an egg. Salad perfection. I recently visited the IHOP in Anniston/Oxford Alabama. The place is rapidly falling apart. The hostess looked like a homeless person. Her clothing was tagged, her hair unkempt, and he attitude was as if she was doing me a favor. The floor was dirty, napkins, straw wrappers and the floor had not been swept in a long time it seemed. The food when it finally arrived was Not up to standard. The salad was old and wilted, the bacon was cold. The coffee tasted burned and the waitress did not offer a refill. It's great for an IHOP. The fare is standard IHOP grub so nothing mind-blowing but it is always fresh, the service has always been above par and my order has never been incorrect. The servers that I have had on the several occasions I have been there have always made the experience much better than expected. They have always been super friendly and made the meal so much more enjoyable! read more

This is the worst place i have been too since this hole Covid 19 started. I asked if I was able to use the restroom and the young lady said it was close per her supervisor so I asked to call him. He walks over and say can I help you and I said yes you can may I please use your restroom I'm a truck driver my trucks right outside he replied its closed and I asked again i said advised him again I'm a Truck Driver and he replied an what does that mean. You can't miss this restaurant from the main highway. There is a huge I HOP sign that sits high above the restaurant. Seating took about 5 minutes, there wasn't much of a wait. The waitress was quite accommodating, we were waiting for some friends and she didn't mind that we waited for our friends before ordering. The food was OK.
