Both times I went here, I was concerned about the silverware/plates I was using. They looked kind of greasy, and one of the plates had yellow stuff on it. Other than that, servers were attentive and friendly (including when I went at 3am), food came very quickly, waffles and hot chocolate were DELICIOUS. Oranges in the fruit cup are satisfying to eat. Chairs and booths were okay to sit at, the atmosphere during the night was chill. Prices weren't favorable, ended up making our own waffles later because of it. I ordered food through a delivery service. Granted, I understand that it is not going to be delivered hot and fresh... but the food was just NOT GOOD. It looked decent. I got a Spicy Poblano Omelette with has browns. The hash browns were good - typical hashbrowns. But that omlette honestly tasted so bad I almost didn't eat it. This place has had bad reviews since they opened and that's kept me from giving it a try for a long while. I have no doubt many have had a bad experience here but the two times that I've gone in the last few months were quite positive. Food came out as ordered, waitress was friendly, we didn't wait too long. More or less an adequate experience from a big chain. If I had to critique I'd say the place is a little dirty (sticky syrup spilled, etc.) - but eh - I don't have high expectations for an IHOP to begin with. I really like ihop, but this was really bad. Came in to a large group trying to find their waiter to pay the bill. We waited maybe 5 or so minutes until someone came to the front to seat us. We sat there for probably close to 20 minutes, while 2 waitresses walked past us several times and didn't acknowledge us at all. We waited 40 minutes for a 20 minute wait. Apparently the kitchen was having issues and needed to get caught up. Tables were empty everywhere and staff milling around outside kitchen. We were seated and waited another 40 minutes as we watched food piling up in the window. Food arrived cold and tables were told if they sent it back that it would be another 20 minutes to get food. People apologized and waitress offered a discount, manager declined. Saying they had no control over the kitchen. Like no one was leading the ship. I won't be back! How embarrassing for you! First of all, this is getting 3 stars because Kristina was great. Walked in and we're not greeted right away. It took quite some time to get our food, specially considering there were all of 5 customers in the building. We were seated right by one of the server stations and there were probably 4 people parked back there our entire meal. At one point the manager in the back had to come up to seat people because no one seemed motivated to work. They spent the whole meal complaining about their boss but didn't seem to want to do much. I love Ihop and I was looking forward to going, but all of our food came out cold, as well as my order being wrong. I ordered the cinna-stix pancakes as a combo and I got the tres leches pancakes brought out, my hash browns were soggy, and my bacon was barley cooked. Had horrible experience at the Norton Shores location. Ordered a steak omelet for delivery and received the omelet without the steak. They wanted me to return it. Food was good but wait time was terrible, there's was only about ten people in the restaurant and service was very slow. The place was also very dirty and there was a puddle of syrup under the table that we didn't see and it actually ruined my wife's shoe. When we asked for the manager she only offer a $10 free meal coupon on your next visit and said she couldn't do anything else. We're to start with my review, the service was absolutely HORRIABLE. Our waitress never once checked on us, I wanted our entire time here with no refill or even asked about a refill(I had a coke) our food was cold from waiting to long to be brought out. We were visiting Michigan adventure waterpark and we came to the IHOP for breakfast. Food was good and the service was good.

I understand that the wait list is a convenience for us, so we don't have to wait so long. However, we were at Fulton & US 31 when the 1st text came through. When the 2nd text came through @ 11:17, we were at the intersection of Sternberg & Harvey, when we got a text that said we had 5 minutes to check in. We got to this restaurant and found out the manager had cancelled our place 1 minute after that text. Nowhere in the texts does it say you can respond, except for "5" to cancel. If I had known that I would have texted my location and kept in touch. Needless to say we were perturbed with the way the manager acted & reacted to us. Thankfully we were seated shortly after we were arrived at this location, but i am still upset because of this manager's attitude. My husband and I took our granddaughter out for lunch 9/19/21. I understand waiting longer than usual for a table and our food due to a shortage of help. However, what I don't understand is ordering a simple BLTA (bacon,lettuce, tomato, avocado) sandwich that was supposed to have 6 slices of bacon and avocado that was served with 1 slice of bacon ripped into 2 and no avocado. Horrible experience. Ordered food from iHop's website for delivery. Requested the Big Steak Omelet. The delivery came on time but the omelet came WITHOUT the steak. I called immediately to let them know and was told I'd have to bring it back. I wasn't going to make a 10-mile round trip to return the food because that defeats the purpose of getting a food delivery. I spoke with the manager the next day and he would not refund my money. The best he offered was to give me another omelet but I'd have to come in to eat it because they would not deliver it. I didn't accept it because I wanted what I paid for. If I could give -5 stars, I would. I took my daughter here because that's where she wanted to go for her (23rd) birthday. It was beyond a huge disappointment for us! When we walked in we were the only ones waiting to be seated and there were very few customers already seated. When I got the bill I was charged for the (free) birthday pancakes. I asked the server about it and was told they aren't free unless we had the app. Well my daughter has had the app for months- she showed the server the app for free birthday pancakes and the server said it wouldn't work so my daughter ended up using her points to get her FREE birthday pancakes! I used to really like Ihop but it had severely degraded. But what left me with the worst impression today was the male host, David at the Harvey Street IHOP in Muskegon, MI. The restaurant was not even close to being at full capacity but scrap people were waiting for a table. David went up to an elderly couple who were less than 6 ft away and told them he text them several times in regards to their table being ready and did they not get his texts? They looked confused like they didn't know. He told them that they were lucky he remembered them or they wouldn't of had a table. Like it took him that much energy to walk 6 ft!
