$21.00 (almost) for three pancakes, 4 pieces of undercooked bacon and overcooked hash browns is ridiculous. This was my first time here. Since they opened (2016?) I've heard service was awful. I went late afternoon. Was practically empty. I was seated quickly and had to listen to two or three wait staff "figuring out" who's table I was. Sara begrudgingly came over eventually. Her demeanor was lackluster at best. No, I didn't expect royal treatment, but her lack of smile and eye contact was disquieting. I felt unwelcome. The only time she cane by to check if all was ok was moments before I finished. Within less than a minute of finishing a managerial type was whisking my plates away. Felt rushed. The New York cheesecake pancakes were good. Fluffy and warm. Strawberry and whipped cream topping good also. I won't be coming back here. The Columbia IHOP is terrific. read more

Tried them again for breakfast this morning. Food finally came out fresh and hot. Service is the big problem. Apparently our server was fairly new. Was extremely slow. Never came back to check on us. We had to stop a different server to get anything. They didn't seem very thrilled. Ended up tracking down a manager to finally get out bill. She apologized. We enjoy IHOP but not enough to put up with this kind of service. I hope you get it together. read more

Great service and good. I love IHOP pancakes because they're consistent no matter which IHOP you dine in...super fluffy and tasty. Our server was very nice and super accommodating of our baby girl. Would definitely go here again. Inside was pretty quiet when we went, not super clean but clean enough, I guess. That is one thing that could be improved, but I do understand a bit of grime due to morning rush combined with understaffing can lead to such an appearance, at times. read more

Close this restaurant down already, rude and neglecting staff alongside incompetent cook staff and management that would reather look good then take care of their business. The food was more abysmal than the slop the local fast food slings for a quarter of the price. The tables are 75% sticky or 25% lacking service neither are a great option when dining out to eat. I have ordered multiple items from soggy omelettes to hairy pancakes to raw burgers. It's almost legendary how bad the service and food is. I was very happy walking into this restaurant thinking it would be a pleasant experience as I had not been in a while but it ended up being the complete opposite. If I could give this experience a zero I would. I sat in this restaurant for over 40 minutes and did not receive any food. I watched as other parties that came in 15 to 20 minutes after me get served and not once did staff or management ask if we were doing ok or give an update on what was going on. My party didn't see our waiter until the manager brought the food to the table behind us who got there 20 minutes after we did. Our waiter said we should be getting food shortly and she would go check on where the food is. I still sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for food. The last straw for me was seeing two separate parties of 3 plus people receive their food when they had only been in the establishment 15 minutes meanwhile I had been there for 40 plus minutes. I spent 40-plus minutes waiting for 3 pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, and fries. Even as I was walking out of the restaurant the head hostess did not acknowledge that my party was leaving but instead smiled as they went to serve another table that had come in 10 minutes prior. That was the most disrespectful dining experience I have experienced and it makes me not want to patronize this establishment anymore. read more

Got sat at a table and no one ever came to wait on us. We waited for 10 minutes without service before getting up and leaving the restaurant. We've never had a good experience at this location but this one topped all of the other bad ones. Don't come here!!!! They were out of biscuits, took way to long to get the food, they weren't very friendly. The food was okay, the pancakes were burnt, and eggs were undercooked. The Jefferson City location is out of sugar packets now for a least a week and out of sugar overall for over a month. Our waitress is sweet and as accommodating as possible under the circumstances of no hot or sweet tea or coffee (unless you want fake sugar). The floors are slippery/slidey. Traveling through our family stopped at this IHop and it was horrible. The service was terrible and the food was even worse.

My grandfather and I walked in and were greeted by two employees actively cleaning. Everything was clean, but of course it smelled a bit chemically at the entrance. Though that was the only con too the visit! Our server David was so nice. Some servers smile on their face, he was smiling in his voice and on his face which is something I dont see often when I dine in places. We had small orders. Worst experience ever. We usually enjoy IHOP but in this case, it makes us never want to come back again. No organization for the waitresses at all. When we finally ordered, the waitress just scribbled something down on a piece of scrap paper. My husband ordered a spicy beef bowl and was brought shrimp and fries! I asked for a separate plate 3 times as well as the hash browns. Never received either! I ended up eating my eggs off of my napkin!! We also asked for a refill on our drink. Never received it. I found a knat in my egg I didn't even receive my ice cold toast until I was done with my meal and they also charged me 13.99 on my ticket and on my cc statement they charged 16$ and some change. Visited here with my fiancée and was disappointed with the service. Manager didn't seem to know restaurants own table numbers and servers came to us 2 different times with other customers orders; this also occurred at other tables around us. Ordered our food and waited over 35 minutes; others seated after us received their food and ate by the time we got ours. Also when they clean the tables they wipe the seats and then take the same rag to wipe the tables that customers eat off of. Disappointing and unhygienic especially during COVID-19. Come prepared for a long wait. 45min to get food in a restaurant that was half full with plenty of staff. Management just walks around and makes excuses instead of stepping in to help her staff. Watched several customers just decide to leave after waiting for too long. When the food finally came out it looked like it spent 20 min on the warmer before being brought out. We arrive to IHOP at 10 o'clock in the morning and within five minutes we were shown to our table given menus and had three waters. About two minutes later we placed our order. Then for the next 55 minutes we waited at the booth for food that never came. After 40 minutes and asked asking twice where is our food? The waitress finally stop by and explain that they had to serve everybody on the opposite side of the restaurant first. I ask her why you would do that since we are got to the restaurant first. She had absolutely no answer for that. Just looked at me and walked away then five minutes later she came back and said it's just gonna be a second, I ask her how long a second has because it's already been 45 minutes. She goes oh it's coming right up. We gave her 10 more minutes and still nothing. my husband, my son, and I got up and walked out but I wanted to tell her to never mind our food. So I walked into the kitchen and then I see our food sitting waiting to be picked up and delivered to our table. If you have two hours to waste, if you don't care, if your food is hot or cold, if you don't care if they're overcharging you, if you want other people to come before you, and have your order screwed up or just absolutely ignored. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is the absolute best restaurant to go to if you just want to be ignored. Otherwise steer clear. read more

Do not bother eating here. Save your time and money and grab something from McDonalds. This place is just a mess. We went at about 11:30 am today, and it's clear that while they have a lot of people working, there is no one coordinating their functions or activities. There's no one seating people, no one cashing people out...it's just totally chaotic. I understand being super busy and backed up, but that should mean you wait longer for a table or longer for your food. It shouldn't mean that you don't get any utensils and your food comes out one plate at a time after much prompting and reminding. I feel bad for the servers because they must not be making anything at all in tips, and it's obviously a management issue. Also, as others have noted, the glasses are really dirty. read more

The only thing this place will sale you is a messed up order, cold food, and horrible service. I placed an online curb side order tonight I got there about 5 minutes after the specified time on the website which btw never mentions that you have to call when you arrive but anyways after waiting about 5 minutes I called the restaurant and of course nobody answered .. I called the store 5 times in the following 15 minutes and never got an answer or my food .. I pull around to the front and go inside where a girl comes out and I tell her that I've been out back waiting for 15 minutes .. instead of saying I'm sorry for your inconvenience she tells me "oh well you know you're supposed to call when you get here" OK GREAT BUT THAT WOULD REQUIRE SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE! Mind you can here was only 1 table in the restaurant so they weren't busy AT ALL .. she finally brings my food and I look in the bag because like I mentioned earlier they mess up every single time .. I ordered a Colorado omelette which apparently is supposed to come with salsa .. which surprise surprise was actually in the bag this time but they gave me a huge cup and probably a spoon full or less of salsa.. I ask if I can have one more and she tells me oh that will be an up charge .. I'm honestly not one to complain about little things like this but you would think that anyone would trained in customer service would've just gave me ONE MORE salsa because everything else about this experience SUCKED.. not once did we ever charge for an extra CONDIMENT .. this place is a joke and they clearly care more about money then they do about the quality of their food and service .. It was slow enough we shouldn't have been sat at a dirty table. They had multiple dirty tables and servers standing around. Manager standing outside smoking with 2 SERVES!!! The basic manor in which the server approached the table and said yeah what you need was inappropriate. And showed a lack of professionalism and genuine caring for your guests. My fiance has been in the restaurant business for 15 years and rather than cause a scene with the manager who obviously did not care.
