Love this little hole in the wall that offers an awesome menu with gluten free options!

Everyone says I should try this place for the wings. So I did. As much I love wings I wasn't impressed how the wings was presented, taste like. The wings was little over cooked, tasted like a smoky flavor I couldn't even taste the hot sauce. The stuff was rude when I couldn't understand what order taker was saying I'm Hard of hearing and having a mask on behind a glass window doesn't make it easier for people who can't hear. There no reason for wearing a mask if they are at lest get a clear mask so I can read lips. Also don't be rude to people who are deaf super unprofessional and make people uncomfortable. Employees need take a training test how handle these type situations. Your your going fall into a lawsuit for discrimination read more

My buddy and I were looking for a lunch spot in Jefferson City. We came across what looked like a hole in the wall that was a food truck and they are now a brick and mortar place. We looked over the menu and saw they had sweet tea. More on that in a moment. That's important for Bama Boys. The menu is pretty simple with pulled pork, wings, and burgers. I went with a full order of wings. 10 wings were $20. I thought that was pretty high though they were terrific! I chose them to be naked and had DAT Honey, Spicy BBQ, and Sweet and Spicy on the side. DAT Honey was a superb sauce especially mixed with the homemade ranch. The other 2 sauces were good too. Now back to the sweet tea. As I came in thinking I was going to get a fresh-brewed homemade sweet tea turned out to be purchasing a bottle of that abomination of sweet tea known as Gold Peak. It was comical how fast I told the guy at the register I would rather take a water. Then I receive a bottled water from Sam's. The owner did throw in a cookie for me to offset the price. But I wasn't impressed with the drink options. The service was good though! I really debated between a 3 and a 4 rating but the most important thing to me about a restaurant is making sure my food tastes amazing. JQ's delivered on that and plus the service was friendly and fantastic. I didn't like the price of 10 wings or the drink options but if you don't mind that, JQ's is a solid lunch spot. read more

JQ's was a nice find on a recent business trip. The food was tasty, well portioned, and reasonably priced. Their french fries were well seasoned and amazing! I need to go back because there were so many items I did not get to try on the menu. The inside of the restaurant is small, so tables are at a premium. JQ's had been on my list a while, and I finally got there moving week. We actually went twice! The first time, they were out of pork and hotdogs, which is what I wanted, so we went back for lunch. I got the Street Corn Dawg with their famous baked beans. The dawg was gigantic and full of flavor. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. The beans were so good. They were thick, I don't like runny baked beans, and had pulled pork in them... could be a meal by themselves. Hubs got the nachos. They were piled high and the pork was so good. We also got the 5 wing special with the sweet and apicy D.A.T honey. He had a kick you may not expect and I love the jumbo wing over a party wing. They have both inside and outside seating. It was a beautiful day for sitting outside. The decor inside is very cool and interesting with all the memorabilia. The service was excellent and the staff were so helpful with recommendations and letting us try a taste of things before purchase. You must visit! read more

Dropped into JQ's for lunch today for the first time. I knew it was going to be delicious when I saw how small it was. Just a little "dive" is what I like to call it; these places always have the best food!! When we walked in we were greeted by a girl behind the counter who asked if it was our first time in. HUGE plus on service there. She gave us some suggestions and told us we could sit wherever. We ordered at the window. Service was extremely quick and tentative. The fat boy bacon cheeseburger was made with ground briquet and HUGE! It came out piping hot with melted cheese and fresh crispy bacon. Delicious and juicy. The fries were hot and also very crisp and tasty. The wings were smoked and tossed in dat honey sauce. They were in fact jumbo wings. The wings were not my favorite, although I think it may have been the sauce. I would try them again with another sauce. read more

One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever eaten! It was the pork BLT, and it was fantastic, even though, I have to admit, I ended up taking off the lettuce and tomato. The bun was nice and toasted, the pulled pork was smoky and tender, and the bacon was perfect. The fries were good, but, I had forgotten to ask for extra barbecue sauce, and ketchup gags me, so I ended up taking them home and reheating them later. I used their curbside service, and my order was ready quickly and brought out promptly. I was very happy to see that they did not use Styrofoam for their take-out container! Absolutely do not miss! So delicious, made to order, and unique! While there are many fun things on the menu, I opted for the Fat Boy Burger and it did not disappoint. Thick, juicy, with delicious signature sauce. Only seating for about 15 and you will definitely want to channel your inner Guy Fieri as it feels like a hidden dive. Simple menu involving smoked meats and a few sides. I enjoyed the GIGANTIC baked potato, which was made even tastier by the ease of which I could gaze upon the owner's KISS memorabilia, displayed in a large shadow box above the table. They seemed a bit stressed the night we were there, things like forgetting our ice water and only delivering one fork to our table of two. This is a small venue, but they deliver to the tiki bar located at a diagonal across the intersection so one could enjoy a cocktail while waiting and then be ready for the meal when it arrives. read more

They have a gluten free bun, and it's good! The staff is knowledgeable of what is gluten free and what is not. I don't eat beef often but I did try the burger, it was great! It is made with ground brisket! I didn't care for the baked beans as it was more pulled pork and very few beans. The only thing I could complain about is that I wanted bbq sauce and the girl said they didn't serve that, but sitting on a shelf right by the order window is bottled bbq sauce? I was recently visiting Jefferson City and decided to stop in for some food. The workers are all super friendly and helped me make a decision on The Brisket Burger. Ordered fish tacos ...where's the fish? There were remnants of skin and a minuscule amount of a soggy mash that might have been cod. Shame on me for ordering fish in a barbecue place, but was expecting that everything put out of your kitchen would be worthy of your reputation. So disappointing. I picked up curbside Togo while in town. I got The Pig Sandwich and a side of baked beans (I like trying multiple sides at BBQ places). Wow was the first thing that came to mind. The sandwich is simple and delicious - comes with fries and Cole slaw. The bun is toasted and adds a really nice crunch. The baked beans have amazing flavor, probably some of the best I've had. I like the chunky salt on the fries, too. Overall, great meal and will get it again next time I'm in town! read more
