We stopped in for breakfast/brunch since Pheasant Run isn't open on Mondays and we were finally heading out for a quick get away. The restaurant was actually busy for once. Most of the time if we come in to eat, there's not many people dining. Our one waitress seemed to be in a hurry non stop. The restaurant of the staff? Not so much. My go to is normal beef tips and eggs. Now the beef tips are supposed to have onions and mushrooms. I can't eat onions, They cause abdominal pain and they come right back up. So I always ask for no onions. I guess the cook decided that I was getting onions and a lot of them. He left out the mushrooms though. The meat was kind burnt as well and both me and my better half's sunny side up eggs were both almost completely cooked through. I honestly miss when people took pride in their work and cooking. There was a short line inside Ihop, but it didn't take long before the waiter took us to our seats. The waiter was very polite and gave us plenty time to decide on what to eat. The food was fantastic, everything was cooked to exactly how I ordered and the pancakes were buttery salty and soft with various choices for syrup. As a foreigner the classic American meal combo was very fascinating to me, but the only draw back is the greasy food that made my stomach sick in the afternoons. We have been on a road trip. Every restaurant we go to there have been service issues or food quality issues or restaurants have been closed because there wasn't enough staff. What a welcome surprise when we went to IHOP. They did seem short staffed but it didn't affect the service or the quality of food. Our server Allen (and he was our host) was amazing. He got us seated in no time we got our food order delivered fast and accurately all while he's busing tables and helping all the other tables. He even got us to go coffees for the road. He was a stellar employee. It's just nice to see somebody working so hard and efficiently in this day and age. read more

Standard IHOP, seemed to have enough staff around but didn't refill or really check on the table. Loud electric fan blowing into the kitchen created an annoyance, as well as the kitchen staff going in and out. Excellent customer service. Delicious food. Only place my husband and I could find open at 3am. We were greeted right away and given a table to sit at. Menu and drinks were prompt. Jesse T. was great! He brewed my husband a fresh pot of coffee. Jesse was very attentive. He took our orders and food came out quickly. Didn't have to wait for a ticket and change either. I went to ihop around 10 am on Saturday morning. The place was very full, but we were still able to be seated quickly. We were immediately given water, which was nice. The restaurant looked clean and well-kept. The menu has lots of choices. They also have burgers and other choices that aren't breakfast. I had the grinch themed omelette. It was huge! It was delicious. It had steak, jalapeños, onions, peppers, and cheese. I highly recommend! The service was quick and our waitress was good about checking our water. IHOP does not deliver a $30 breakfast (we're talking 2 adults and a child here), but that's what it cost us. Well, $30.68, to be exact, including a tip. Our biggest complaint was with our very indifferent server, Mollie M. She surely has many gifts in life, but interacting with people - let alone serving them food - does not seem to be one of them. There was no attempt to smile, no attempt to pretend to be friendly. We don't need a server to be buddy/buddy; but honestly, this poor girl has no people skills. As for the food, it was very, very lackluster. The bacon is flabby, not crisp. There seems to be unnecessary sugar on pancakes and the toppings, and the eggs were so-so. Coffee will set you back $1.99, and they charged $2.69 (about what I pay for 2/3 of a gallon of milk) for one glass of milk. Our coffee came out in a carafe that had LESS than two cups of coffee in it, too! I don't care how hungry we are next time; we're going to drive on by the IHOP and hunt for something better! read more

I placed a carry-out order at 5pm on a Saturday. They were not very busy when I picked up my order and I didn't have to wait very long. I had a simple order with no special requests. I ordered a side of hashbrowns and some chicken Florentine crepes. The hashbrowns were not only not hot (which can understandably happen with carry-out) but they were ice cold and had no grill marks like they were taken straight from the fridge without even being heated up. Worst of all, the crepes were missing the basil topping and all the spinach, which is ridiculous considering they were chicken FLORENTINE crepes. Danielle was my server. She was great. But it doesn't matter what the turd is wrapped in, it's still a turd. Coffee was very weak. Tasted like middle eastern tea. YUCK! The bacon? It was all fat. There was practically no meat on the bacon slices. The cook served wheat toast when I asked for and the waitress wrote down white toast. When I did get the white toast, it was very very dry. I guess I'm used to the good toast Waffle House serves. Hash browns were okay. Two eggs over medium. One was right, the other was over hard. Pretty disappointing meal. I would be extremely surprised if everything here did not come from a box. We ordered carryout Smoked Sausage, Bacon and Cheddar Soup, Garden Omelet, and Crispy Strawberry Banana Cheesecake. The mashed potato consisted of some kind of creamy mess on top of boxed potatoes with absolutely no texture or taste. It tasted like something between margarine and mayo. Disgusting. It covered everything in the box which required extensive wiping off. The Cesar Salad side was just shredded romaine lettuce and shredded cheese without any croutons. They completely forgot the Garlic Bread. They forgot the requested spoon for the soup which made eating it a little difficult. They forgot to put cream on the cheesecake. There are several restaurants in the area; my parents picked this one because it was convenient to our hotel. I would suggest going ANYWHERE except here. Even if it's cheap it's not worth the time. I could have bought a TV dinner from the Super Wal*Mart across the road and had a more satisfying meal. Edit: I am a veteran of cheap foods: diners, McDonald's, cafes, my own cooking--this really takes the biscuit. I cannot speak for the breakfast menu as we only ordered from the dinner menu. read more
