For those unfamiliar Rango is a 2011 animated Western comedy directed by Gore Verbinski and features Johnny Depp as the voice of the main character, a theatrical pet chameleon who accidentally finds himself in a rough desert town called Dirt. Pretending to be a brave gunslinger, Rango is appointed sheriff and soon becomes involved in uncovering a mysterious plot about the town's missing water supply. The film parodies classic Westerns while blending humor, action, and a unique visual style. It was released by Paramount Pictures and produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Verbinski's production company, Blind Wink.
