Food was amazing! My boyfriend and I were both very impressed. I had the french toast combo, and my boyfriend had the pesto veggie egg white omelet with a side of lemon ricotta protein pancakes. I only had water, but he had the cold brew pumpkin drink. The service was great too. Our server Marissa was so nice and helpful when it came to ordering. The inside of the restaurant was clean as well. I will be back for sure!!

We came here yesterday to grab something to eat while waiting for my clothing to be processed at Plato's down the street. The host at the front ended up being our server as well. He was pretty good but he was being pulled a ton of different directions so I felt bad for him. (He had to seat people, serve people, and run his own orders) I decided to try a new item on their menu: the Belgian chocolate pancakes (chocolate chips, chocolate mousse, and whipped cream). The description made it sound amazing but in reality, they were extremely underwhelming. The pancakes were dry on top (when you cut into them, they were really flakey on top) and didn't taste like anything special. The only chocolate taste came from the sprinkle of chocolate chips and the mousse on top. My eggs and sausage were cooked to order so they were fine. My grandmother and sister's food was okay (they had a philly cheeesteak with fries and fish and mashed potatoes) Our server was great; we didn't have to wait too long for anything. I think he heard us talking about how disappointing the pancakes were because when he brought us our check, he said "I really hope you enjoyed everything."

We enjoyed our meal . But did not appreciate the hostility between two of your employees while I was waiting to be seated.

When I first drove up, I didn't not immediately recognize it as the former Ship Inn because the traffic pattern at the intersection was different and the building looked more updated. The interior was spacious. My friend was at the bar where we sat the entire time. Since my friend was a regular, he knew the bar tender, Morgan. He vouched for her Old Fashioned which just happened to be what I had planned to order. The Old Fashioned was good. She made it with Evan Williams Bourbon. It had a good blend so that it was not too sweet, too bitter or overpowered by the bourbon. My friend ordered Garlic Parmesan wings which he seemed to enjoy. We sat talking for a couple of hours and never felt rushed. The vibe at the bar was friendly as folks came in and out for drinks. I will go back and check out the restaurant next time.

I had a pizza, which was thin-crust, had flavorful sauce, and a solid cheese-sauce ratio. I would've finished the whole thing if it wasn't for the beer flights! I had two flights and each of the beers I tried I would order again. They're named nautically which made ordering them honestly fun. Wait staff was friendly and timely, so much so that I'm already planning a return! I will say that many tables were empty so it was a bit easier to serve us, but I hope in the future VK gets more business. Good people, good food, great beer.

The burger was large and well prepared at medium. Both of the omelettes were outstanding. They came with three links of bacon and three sausage sausages, each as well as three slices of very nice tomato. In addition, I ordered a side of scrapple, which was perfectly cooked and about a quarter inch of depth. It was Habbersetts - set one of my favorites. Complimented that drink wise with the bottomless iced tea. The quality and portions here are second to none when it comes to my diner experiences. The food was prepared fresh and served hot. The prices may be more than you'd pay at Denny's, but I will tell you that they are very fair for what you get. I'm impressed enough that I intend to go back for dinner at some point. I don't know if they have my favorite, which is chicken croquettes but if they do, that would be the bomb. We'll see how dinner turns out and update this accordingly!

They got my order right, and everything came out hot and fresh. Ultimately the omelette seemed a bit over-done, but otherwise pretty tasty. The potatoes were very forgettable. cooked, but not really crispy. An alright vessel for ketchup I suppose. Our server was polite, but did forget a few things. He thankfully ran back to check before putting the order in though. Towards the end of the meal we did wait a little bit longer than expected for our check. We had to flag down a different server. Overall, the vibe of the place reads like a lot of diners. Which is a good thing! I grew up with diners everywhere, and I love them. So I felt very comfortable there.

We loved the decorations in the restaurant too, seeing all the local dog portraits on the wall while we were waiting for our table was enjoyable. The food was incredible. We recently moved to Exton and haven't really gotten a chance to spoil ourselves, and White Dog was a great place to do so. We started with the Mushroom Soup, Oysters, and Artisan Cheese Board. All were delicious! One of the things I loved most were the portion sizes. For the price it was only a touch expensive, but for good reason, the entrees were delicious. My girlfriend got the Salmon, I had the Seafood Bucatini, and textures were masterful. The contrast between the tenderness of the shrimp/scallops and the broccoli rabe/parmesean crisps made each bite a truly special experience. I'm going to be dreaming of how light yet flavorful the sauce was too!! The GF is telling me to stop typing but I could go on and on about this meal. Thank you!!! We will be back

At this age and point in history, it takes a bit to phase me, and I will say - I was phased. Without meaning to, I looked her up and down and gave her a stare that must've conveyed, "WTH?" I said my name and that I had a reservation for 3. I was with my mother-in-law who quite clearly has physical disabilities and the hostess asked, "Do you want to wait for the other person in your party?" Um, no, I want to get my elderly and infirm MIL seated. "No, he's parking and will be right in." "Follow me." And she proceeded to take us quite literally to the seating section that was the absolute furthest away from the front door, as my MIL hobbled along behind her. And the place was dead, so there was no need for that lack of sensitivity. Situational awareness, peeps. When we were seated, each of us was given a different menu. One read "Lunch" one read "Brunch" and one read "Dinner'. We flagged someone down and she said, "Oh, I don't know which menu it should be, let me find out." "You've been open for 4 hours and you don't know what menu you're using?" I wondered quietly to myself. Then the waiter arrived, perfectly affable, also in pajamas, and when he left, my MIL asked, "What is going on? What is everyone wearing?" I said, "Pajamas." NOT the nice meal we had in mind for her. The waiter explained it was a tradition because one day, on New Year's Day, the woman who started the restaurant in the 80s had been so drunk she was incapable of adulting and putting on proper clothes to come to work dressed professionally - so to honor her poor life skills and bad choices - all the staff is now forced to wear pajamas on New Year's Day. How nice for the rest of us. I could see that on a day like April Fools or Halloween or "Bring a Drunk Restaurant Owner to Work Day", but not New Year's Day. But hey - whatevs. The least you could do is push this fact out to people so if someone is looking to have a nice meal in a traditional atmosphere to start the new year - they could consent and/or make another choice. Which clearly, we would have. So odd.
