We haven't been to an IHOP in more than 8 years. We decided to try this one and it solidified why we haven't eaten at this chain in so long. We sat forever, in a nearly empty restaurant, without a waitress coming to take drink orders, then when we still hadn't received water 30+ minutes beyond that and told the waitress we wanted to just leave, she apologized and said our food was ready and she will bring it out immediately. We stayed. Waited another 10 minutes for the three orders for our table...and we're utterly disgusted with the food. I could only get a few bites down of their Berry Crepes....I mean....how do you even make that dish gross???? The oil tasted rancid, there were sparse, funky tasting strawberries on top and nothing else. The coffee???? I have never had a cup of coffee that literally tasted like nothing before. Are they reusing old grounds? I feel bad for the waitstaff here. There aren't enough customers to earn good tips, they seem to lack training, and the manager was the most unprofessional woman, with food all over the front of her sweater. I mean, if you have no pride in your own appearance, how am I to believe you hold any standard for the restaurant you run? We'll never be back. read more

Pretty mediocre food. I had their T-Bone steak mashed potatoes with pancakes. Wife their French toast combo. My T-bone was cooked how I asked med. rare with little flavor. The mashed potatoes were also flavorful and tasted like real potato's only thing was how incredibly small the portion was. The best part of the meal were the pancakes. My wife's French Toast was OK but not like she hoped. The scrambled eggs hash browns and bacon were bland. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress attentive. We will return if only to try a different entree. read more

Last week they had gluten free pancakes. For some reason they just cancelled them. I'm sure corporate looked at this as a health trend that has run its course, but some of us actually have an allergy and deleting them from the menu is discrimination. It's ridiculous. I tried to call corporate but their office was closed on Sunday. The manager was super smug about it. Come on guys! Bring it back now! Last week the gluten free pancakes were Good and creamy and yummy. I would have gone back frequently. Guess what you just lost a customer. Good job! read more

Jocelyn gave excellent service. Eggs cooked perfectly. Bacon and sausage was cooked fine. She went above and beyond to make my hot chocolate with coffee instead the premade with water. She added whipped cream and refilled with coffee from the back not from the stainless steel coffee pot. So nice! The hash brown were old but they made me fresh ones to go. Super clean and friendly. read more

We decided to go here since it was close to where we were at the time. We ordered two burgers and two sodas and it was $43!!! The bun was cooked too long and hard as a rock I couldn't eat it. It was truly meh. read more

Sat for about 25 minutes and the server, Erica, never took our order and instead favored the tables on either side of us. They got their food and were finished eating before our order was taken, so we ordered to pay for our drinks and leave. The manager let us have our drinks for free and apologized. read more

Came in tonight, Sunday 4/11/21 to an empty restaurant & only 2 visible staff members. We were greeted at the door by a hostess/server, who sat us in our requested booth & then left to attend to the kitchen & other customers. After 30 minutes & not even being offered drinks, my family & I walked out. The couple sitting behind us commented that they had waited a total of 1 hour & 4 minutes for their meal. WOW. Absolutely inexcusable. How can they advertise as being open 24 hours, when they can't even handle 4 tables on a dead Sunday evening? First time going to this new location, and definitely won't be back for awhile. Either hire more workers or only open when u can adequately & efficiently serve customers. read more

The worst 3rd shift I've ever had anywhere! I've walked 6 times asking for worker to bring me coffee. Ordered and took 30 mins with 3 people in the whole restaurant!!!!!!! Rob in the back is a POS!! No need to be open 24/7 when horrible server and service! Common people! Never coming ever again for $50 for 2 people!!! Refilled my own coffee walking too the service door is beyond mind blowing! I came through Elkhart with a coach bus loaded with 55 adults at 6:30 am. After calling them on a short 5 minute notice they said they're short staffed but no problem, they would get us in. Our waitress Jasmine and the rest of the staff did an excellent job going above and beyond to accommodate our group. The orders were filled sooner than I expected and the food was great as well. The manager and his team went above and beyond to be organized, prepared, and helpful for our very large party. I called a week before to let them know I was bringing in a group of about 50 people at 10:30 pm . Not only did they not forget we were coming, they had a section all prepared for us, tables set, servers ready to go, and food ready in a reasonable time. Very thankful for their accommodations and attention to serving us! Many restaurants will just say "we can't help you" these days, but this team did the opposite and worked hard to accommodate us!! I was completely disappointed with our experience. First not enough silverware for a party of 6, we had 2 sets only. We didn't get until after the food was served and food was cold . We didn't get the extra plate for the kids. While the kids were upset and crying. Refills for the drink we had to ask for. The only time the waitress really came over on her own is to ask if we were ready for the check in the middle of still eating . I have been to the ihop on Mishawaka great food and serve every time. We received our "Mexican Tres Leches" pancakes (2 orders) when we got home we looked and this is what we got. 1 little ramiken of caramel sauce not even enough for both of us. Food was cold when they handed it to us, told us a 30 minute wait we were there after 25. Poor service, and poor attention to detail. Will not be returning. read more

Had the most nasty strawberry pancakes ever! Strawberry's we're old and gave my fiancé diarrhea for 3 days!!! I didn't eat any of the strawberries because of how bad they looked. Strawberry syrup soaked the pancakes so bad we couldn't eat the first layer. A real disappointment and waste of money for we couldn't eat but 5 bites. Waitress didn't ask if we wanted something just apologized and took our plates and gave us the bill. She even flirted with my fiancé in front of me. Unprofessional. Beware! read more

This was the third time that we tried to give this IHOP in Elkhart IN a chance... lesson learned. We will only be going to the Mishawaka location in the future. We waited 15 minutes to be offered water and that was after we asked if we had a server.... We had to ask a manager 40 minutes into waiting for our food if it was put in and all we were given was an excuse of " We can only carry so much and the waitress we had was slower.... Um what? The restaurant wasn't even busy. The food got to our table...wrong and cold. Might I add that we never received silverware. We literally left and I was not quiet about how dissatisfied I was. I won't pay a bill for the worst service of my life. They need to get it together. read more

Terrible service I've been waiting for over thirty minutes and still haven't even gotten a menu

They have the WORST customer service ever! We waited 2 hours (after being quoted 25 minutes) and the manager never even came back out but yet the server ( who was supposedly a minor and had to leave) was still working until almost midnight and a person in street clothes can go into the kitchen for quite some time and come out with tons of food...without paying. IHOPs customer service has consistently went downhill and they suck! read more

Food was awful we had a Togo order waited outside for 30 minutes just to have it be cold and missing items only ate it because I was really hungry but I definitely won't come back. I'll stay with callahans for the same price and better taste read more
