This IHOP is always super unprofessional! There is always a long wait to get in and a super long wait after you're seated. My fiancé and myself and we're seated for over 30 minutes and NO ONE even came to ask about drinks or told us we would be helped anytime soon while there were SEVERAL waiters and waitresses just standing around. Many of them walked past us and looked at us and went to other tables and helped other tables that already had been served. Different waiters and waitresses were going back to the same table that had already gotten their food. I'm not a fan of IHOPs but my son insisted on trying the new Addams family menu. Anyway, This is where the Walmart crowd goes to eat on a Sunday afternoon. The wait was long for our party of 3. 2 other parties of 4 that walked in after us got seated before us on the same type of table we ended up getting seated at. Staff seemed overwhelmed but all tables weren't filled. They must be short staffed. People were arguing nearby and the restroom was most disgusting. Add me to the list of people who have waited endlessly for breakfast food. I wouldn't recommend this IHOP if you're in a hurry or have to be to work in the morning. I took my niece there a few months back and we both had pancakes and eggs. It took a half hour to get our food, and then the bill was wrong. The waitress said she'd fix it, then never came back. After another 15 minutes (we had been done eating for 20), the manager walked by, so I grabbed her to fix the bill. She disappeared for awhile too. Its a breakfast / brunch place, which is not fast food, it serves eggs any way you like, the hostesses were polite, yes they were busy, like every IHop i go to is busy on the weekend, I didn't find the place dirty, or "filthy" like others stated, this place is not for people who eat fast food, and come in expecting this is a 5star restaurant. Its Ihop, its more of a diner feel than anything. My plates were clean, eggs were made perfect, every portion was same, glasses were sparkling. I enjoyed it. Breakfast for 3 with tip was around $43. On our way back up north & girls wanted IHOP. We read the reviews for the 1 on Ford Rd. They were not good. Any of them. We were kinda scared but we were already headed there. We are glad we went. Leigha greeted us right away. Sat us & then was our server. And a very good server she is. Very polite, made eye contact. Checked on us several times. Food came out quickly. Everything was great. Went to IHOP yesterday with My Mom after church wanted to get some breakfast the waitress came and took our order and then disappeared for about 20-30 minutes or so . So I asked my mom did she want to leave because I had my keys in my hand ready to go . I experienced this before at two other IHOP locations Livonia and Novi funny how I was talking about the waitress then she shows up. So we ate our food and paid for the meal and gave the waitress $2 tip and left. I don't think I will be back to this location go to Rams Horn down the street. read more

I would not recommend going between 8-4 (rush hour). The service was bad, we kept asking for help from other servers but they would just brush us off and we would end up having no help. The French Toast was dry and very very salty, I practically had to shower it in syrup to find any taste. The table wasn't wiped down when we were seated and was very sticky, inflicting sticky stains on my shirt. However, the manager was very polite & friendly. Also, the highlight of this whole review was Mary. She was an exceptional worker who made animal balloons for everyone at no cost - she was doubtably very talented and kind. Her smile was very rejuvenating and she helped around when she wasn't required. We had left her a tip instead of the server, and we hope she received it afterwards. read more

The service here is usually fast & is always friendly. On Sundays in the morning & afternoon you often have to wait for a table...the church crowd seems to flock here. This location is open 24 hours on the weekends. The food is what I would expect, it's IHOP...their lunch/dinner food is much better than I would have expected but sometimes on the greasy side. I've had a few of their low fat/cal options & they were all much better than I would have expected. I eat here often & plan to continue to do so. read more

Okay, I totally believe in second chances. But this was my second time at this particular IHOP location and again was very disappointed. I only came because my kids wanted to come... never again When I entered there were two sets of customers. A 2 top and an 8 top table. The 2 top had their food and the 8 top had already ordered. We were seated very quickly. Ordered our drinks, that come quickly as well. Then... it... started... going... down...hill Twenty minutes for someone to come and take our order. Twenty minutes. Three servers. Two tables, now three. Twenty minutes... Ordered our food. I ordered soup and this spicy chicken ranch sandwich, My kids ordered pancakes. About a half hour goes by before the 8 top gets there food (wonder how long they actually waited) About 20 more minutes goes by, my soup never came so I asked the manager that was near by if she new if there just wasn't any soup left or something because it was like 8pm and some times that is the case. She goes and checks and said that there was just the bottom left and that is probably why he didn't bring it!!! Wait what??? Okay well the right thing to do as a server would be to ask if I wanted a different kind of soup?? But okay that's fine, just ignore telling the customer. So no soup. By this time we have literally been waiting 40 minutes in total. And I was really just about to walk out. Not one person apologizes for the wait, not one person asked if anyone at my table would like a refill... nothing, no communication We entered the building at 7:35 our food finally started making it to the table at 8:45. An hour and 15 minutes for pancakes, my sandwich took about ten more minutes and my kids were literally almost done eating their food by time I started. ( did I mention I had to steal silverware off of other tables because I never received any) On the bright side we did finally get refills (only after finally having the opportunity to ask) the wait staff Is not very attentive at all and does not smile at all. I felt as if I was a bother to them rather than an opportunity to make some money. My chicken sandwich was soggy and the peppers way over cooked, and what I mean by over cooked is that I was spitting burnt pieces out of my mouth.. ugh after receiving our food no one asked if we needed anything or how our food tasted. No one came back to the table! After finishing our food and stacking our plates at the end of the table because no one cared enough to clear our table off or take dirty plates away as we finished. This then finally notified the server that we were done eating. We waited a long time for a check as well. It was 9:27 when we were finally checked out. Almost 2 hours at IHOP. Ridiculous I still tipped 20% because I was a server at one time and I realize this is how they survive financially. But I will not be back. When I was checking out the manager asked how everything was. I smiled and said just fine. If she was worried about how my service was she should have been on the floor helping the Waite staff, if they were Over there heads. That's what good managers do. Advice to IHOP: train your staff to smile and be attentive. You will loose more customers then you will gain at this location if it continues to be ran the way it is currently being ran. Been here a few times and it is always slow and not very good. The servers are nice but the food leaves little to be desired and you will not eat together. You will wait an easy 40 minutes for food to come out of the kitchen and then they will only bring half of the tables food and disappear for another 10 minutes. My mom didn't get her sauce or potatoes with her chicken dinner, my uncle and I didn't get served until the other three were almost done and then my salad was brown..I was going to just pick off the bad pieces until I realized I had more of my salad on the table than what was left on the dish so I had to send it back and wait 10 more minutes before the waitress came and asked me how I wanted my salad?...which meant they didn't even start making the new one yet.. I'm Baaacckkk. I wrote a review on this place almost a month ago. Went back today, and although the last time I gave them 2 stars, they have managed to lose yet another star. From the time we entered until our food hit the table: 55 minutes. Wow. A new record for slow service. I've been everything from busboy/dishwasher to cook, head cook, and finally restaurant manager and never have I seen a business with such a poor service record. Asking the floor supervisor why this was happening I was told that they're having trouble finding and keeping competent help. I fully understand the challenges associated with building a proficient staff, but this problem has existed for a long time. This tells me that it's not so much an employee problem, but a management problem. If it's so difficult to find and keep good employees, perhaps they should look at the reasons why people leave. Either the work culture is flawed and doesn't promote excellence, or the pay/benefits structure is lacking. Something is causing the skilled workers/waitstaff to leave. Many places have long term employees that have no desire to go somewhere else to work. Why? Because they're treated as valued team members and appreciated for their contribution to the success of the company. They're also compensated accordingly. The consistently slow service of this particular restaurant will continue, but will continue without my participation. I'm done. I said before the food is good, but I have too many options to continue to tolerate this sub-par performance. Rant over...peace out. read more

Three strikes and youre out. Ive tried it three times and the same things happen every time. Service was horrendous. Saw my waitress a total of three times once at order once at food being served and once at bill being given. Nothing in between, and there were only 3 tables being used by 2 people each. Food was mediocre at best and each time I've come for a meal they serve old stale coffee. It was cold in the carafe and tasted terrible. After the coffee was changed and food came there was no catsup and like I said before I patiently waited for the waitress to back but I was left like an abandoned dog. Maybe if they understood it doesn't take that much money to make fresh coffee I'd have given two stars but it's always the same issues. Sorry not sorry but this restaurant is terrible. read more
