    Wonka Menu
    Stephanie P.

Ever since I saw the advertisements for the Wonka menu I just had to go try it! I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but the menu just looked so fun. We arrived close to 9pm as we had just come from tanglewood, but the staff was super friendly and seated us anyways even though it was close to closing time. I ordered the strawberry hot chocolate and the chocolate pancake tacos, both from the wonka menu. The hot chocolate was delicious!! I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but wanted to try them anyways. The pancakes were pretty ok, the fresh strawberries on top of them were the best part! Overall a decent ihop experience, and the menu was super fun!

The place had a strange smell just outside the front door but the inside was very clean. The ambience would have been better if not for the two African American men talking real loud about homosexuals and everything else in the world which was allowed to go on for. The waitress was nice but gave me the impression she didn't like serving us. The omelette was delicious and the seasonal fruit cup was ok until I got to the bottom where I found two wedges of a small orange with the rind still on them.

I haven't been to an IHOP in about 10 years. I always thought they were overpriced for what you got. But, on a whim today my hubby and I decided to go for breakfast. The host was friendly and we only had to wait about 10 min even though they were 'hoppin'(haha get it?) Our server was very nice and helped me decided what to order. My hubby ordered an omelet and coffee with a side of tres leches pancakes and I chose a combo with eggs, bacon, hash browns and vanilla spice pancakes. One thing IHOP has always done right is bring a small carafe of hot coffee so you can refill at your leisure. Most places have servers walking around refilling coffee mugs but, when you add cream or sugar to your coffee, it throws off the flavor if they refill a cup that is only half full again and getting the desired flavor is hard to obtain again. That is a pet peeve of the coffee drinkers in my house. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot. My eggs were cooked just how I ordered them and I loved the servers suggestion of the vanilla spice pancakes. We had a very pleasant dining experience for breakfast and we also got to check out the new burger menu while we were there which looked great! We will definitely check them out for lunch or dinner another day.

Went here late at night right before they're closing. The waitres who took our order took everyone's order but when the food came only four plates came out I guess she wrote one of the orders really small she didn't see it. So she made the cooks cook the last plate she said since it wasn't on the order it won't be on the bill. Which was really nice of her. Place was really empty since it was close to closing so the food came out quickly. I enjoyed my turkey sandwich with avacado that's my favorite from ihop whenever I'm there for lunch or dinner.

This is a "full" order of fries. Smallest portions ever.

Smallest portions I have ever had at any restaurant. My wife and I along with our four kids went for dinner. Every single plate and side order was smaller than anything I've ever seen. Only exception was my son's turkey sandwich which was average. We all left still hungry. The waitress said that just the way the portions are. See the attached pictures of an order of fries and an order of bacon. No joke. Also Service was SLOW!!!

Thanks for the great Service Sandra!

The food was a good helping, cooked perfectly and still hot and fresh. I had a cheese omelette that came w hashbrowns, sausage and toast. I wanted a waffle so I decided to try the one with warm blueberry syrup and whipped cream. Yum. My friend ordered a turkey club sandwich w fries. My hamburger steak and the biscuits were very good this time even though my broccoli side was lacking, Dad enjoyed his pancakes and particularly his fried eggs as well. The Deets: When visiting the folks for the Father's Day weekend, Dad said he wanted to head by Cracker Barrel and get some pancakes for a late brunch so we stopped the nearest one over in Clemmons. It's been years since I visited this location, and honestly, really nothing much has changed from what I remember. It is the same basic formula with the country store area as you enter and then you go to the host desk to the side for the dining area. Luckily since we were stopping by a bit later even for a lunch, the crowd had left for the most part and we were seated promptly. Again, everything in the seating area is the same and could really use some TLC (lots of dust on the ceiling fans, more than a rustic type of appearance that could use a refresh, etc.) Our server was very nice in letting us having a few extra minutes to take in both the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus so we could decided what we wanted to go with today. Dad stuck with his pancakes, adding fried eggs and sausage. Mom got the Old Timers Breakfast menu selection, and I decided on the hamburger steak with two sides of steak fries/steamed broccoli. I enjoyed my coffee as we waited for our meals. Once they arrived, Dad really enjoyed his pancakes and particularly complimented the fried eggs. Mom was OK with her breakfast, nothing extraordinary or bad noted from her. My hamburger steak was really good, not dried out and plenty of flavor, I enjoyed it. My mother and I really liked the biscuits, baked just right. Steak fries were OK, but there were a good number of them extra greasy though. My steamed broccoli was cooked just a bit too long, not very much crunch left to it and pretty bland (Mom tasted and agreed with the latter). I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this visit, I really wish I could give 3.5 stars here. In looking at everything, I really think in the long run they deserve more than 3 stars with the good hamburger steak and biscuits as well as Dad really enjoying his pancakes/fried eggs so I will go with 4 stars, just knowing I feel like 3.5 stars honestly.
