The bread was fresh and soft and the sandwich was made to order. It was DELICIOUS! Also had a strong cafe con leche which perked us right up. Last, but not least we tried some pastries. OMG, the quesito was to DIE for. They were fresh out of the oven and perfect to eat. The pastry was light and fluffy, the cheese inside was the perfect amount and the top was sprinkled with some sugar and honey. It is well worth the drive to eat one (or several) of these delicious pastries. The service was outstanding. The cook and the owner speak perfect English so we were able to easily order and ask questions. They kept checking on us to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything else. The restaurant has air conditioning and was clean, comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was also very clean, had a nice smell.

This is a small family business, we had a private tour of the cacao orchard (in Spanish) detailing the entire chocolate-making process, with hands on participation and delicious learning opportunities. They toasted some cacao nibs for us to samples, along with some of their chocolates and cacao marmalade (if we were flying home in a couple of days I would have stocked up on this!!). Then we relaxed in their cozy outdoor cafe as the sun dipped down behind the flamboyan trees, drinking milkshakes and eating Bon bons, swinging in the hammocks sprinkled around the cafe.
