They also do all the set up and clean up. The package also includes a mini Taekwondo lesson, piñata which is filled with candy to take home, pizza & juice boxes, games/obstacle course. All the kids and guests enjoyed it. The adults were able to relax and hang out while their kids were having fun with the obstacle courses and being entertained. Another thing I like about it is the package includes 15 kids and unlimited adults which is pretty important considering you usually would have more adults than children. From the same instructors, I've seen them effectively engage children while being able to challenge older and more advanced students, often even within the same class. I cannot recommend Zion Taekwondo enough. What started out as a 2 week free trial has turned into a…read morebiweekly routine in our after school schedule over the last six months and surprisingly, the kids don't dread it! First, it makes so much sense to try a new activity for more than a day. Thankfully, Zion advertised a 2 week unlimited free trial. My son did not even complete the initial 30 mins on day one as he cried halfway through. Had that been the extent of the free trial, we wouldn't have known it would grow on him so quickly. After a few more classes and by the end of the second week, he didn't even need convincing to get changed into their uniform and walk into class on his own! Master Cheng and all the instructors at Zion are experts in their craft. They pay close attention to each students' stance and correct them as required. There is a large focus on techniques regardless of age which is important. I appreciate that the entire class is tae kwon do training and fitness based (unlike other programs wherein the last few minuites of the class ends in a game such as Red Light, Green Light which we could easily play at home). The Masters are super friendly and patient with all their students. I've observed them teach the youngest age groups (3 years old) to the adults (including myself for the mothers' day special). I have yet to see one of them appear irritated by anyone (parents included).They model the behaviour that they expect from their students. They are fair! There is no favoritism. Each class is well paced and efficiently led. It is the perfect learning environment for any age group. They encourage mentorship wherein they utilize students in higher levels to assist in the younger tier programs.They touch on self defence techniques. They model patience and teach discipline. Zion Taekwondo is a no frills type studio wherein you will get quality instruction in a non-intimidating learning environment. The studio itself is in an industrial type setting, with seating for parents to view right into the dojang. Two bathrooms, two change rooms and a place to hang your coat - nothing more as their focus is truly building technical skills, confidence and a positive experience in all of their students.
