Bambinos was an okay daycare when my stepson first started. He started going to this daycare when…read morehe was about a year and a half. They did not complain about him then, other than when he was sick. He turned 2 and they didn't have much to say about him then. When he turned 3, they were telling us how we needed to get him checked for ADHA and for autism. Anyone that is smart would know that you cannot diagnose a kid that is ONLY 3 years is too young to tell if he/she is autistic. Our doctor even told us that. Well, he was showing out there, yes, but he kept coming home saying "mom they're stepping on my neck". He also kept saying "mom I don't want to go to daycare". He has never told us that before. They suspended him for 2 days, and we just took him out of there. They're very unprofessional, I know they were doing something to him, and they showed favoritism. They also called my stepson a kid from the street, but in Spanish. He is differently not from the street. He's a kid being a kid. Even if he is autistic, he shouldn't be treated any differently! He's still human, and again a kid. They're rude. I would NOT recommend anyone this daycare. They only care for the money. They do not deserve a star, or even half. Also, my stepson is Puerto Rican. He is very smart and was on the road of learning Spanish. He had to go to Puerto Rico for the summer, and they told us that they'd hold his spot if we kept paying them monthly as if he never left. After the suspended him, they told us that they couldn't hold his spot anymore. Everything that he was learning was from the kids that were in there with him. They never suspended them because the little boy was related to one of them. I know they were secretly doing something to him because he was acting out there and at home. He was crying telling us that he didn't want to go to daycare. My baby got depressed going there. Obviously when a kid is showing different signs and emotions, believe them. This daycare wore my stepson out. Y'all suck!

My heart breaks that this is the only option in Salado for day care…read more The owner is rude to her customers who don't agree with her out-of-pocket rules and expectations from the customers. There have been many instances where I have walked in to pick him up, and have seen them yell, in his face, about things he cannot help, (he is special needs) including messing with his shirt, and not keeping his shoes on. (He was FIVE at the time). They would separate him from the rest of the kids to punish him, which is something he still doesn't understand. Not qualified to handle kids with disabilities. Totally unacceptable, unethical, and unprofessional. If you love your child, please find an alternative place to keep them.

Education was good as well. She learned a lot in terms of colors, alphabet, numbers, and god. The only drawback to attending school here is that it serves only as a Mother's Day out program for kids that age. It's only 8:30-11:30 which may be a bit of a downer depending on your situation. Not to sure how the rest of the program is either as I heard some negative rumblings about some of the other teachers but I never saw. I'd investigate it though.

I'm only rating based on the tour. Front door wasn't locked, it wasn't even shut all of the way…read more This was a red flag because safety is a top concern for us. (Other daycares have codes for parents.) The bathroom for the toddlers potty training was down the hall from their classroom, and with only 1 teacher in there with 12 kids, how are you supposed to potty train properly? Very different from our current daycare. Anyway, the other details of the tour I will leave out because I don't want to judge too harshly based on just this short interaction. But we won't be sending our boys here.

My child was in another daycare all his life up to a couple weeks ago. We ran into some issues (there were issues before, but they had escalated due to lack of enough supervision) and I kept calling to check on the status on the waiting list. Thank the good Lord that we were able to start taking our son here. I love the photos I get throughout the day assuring me he is cared for well. He is still adjusting as he is crying during drop off AND pick up :). But once you enter the place you can see that it is clean and inviting. Ms. Jenna and the director Ms. Andrea have been phenomenal with answering questions and they are both just so sweet. You can tell they love what they do (the day of the tour they both were decked out for St. Patty's lol) The facility itself is very roomy with big classrooms. I like also the little porch area they have for the kids to still be able to play outside or get fresh air even if it were to rain a bit or be too hot to go all the way out without the cover of a roof. It's a gated porch and each classroom has their own so the kids are secured. My son is learning many things here already and I can't wait until he starts being able to vocalize more his new knowledge.
