I turned around and went to another checkout line, and those guys saw me and they were still doing nothing but talking. I told the guy in the girl that were working my lane neither one of them considered my need. Whenever I ask somebody in Kroger where something is, they stop what they're doing, look it up and then take me to it. A good reason to go elsewhere.

Some kind of vendor outside with a large table (it wasn't the Boy Scouts) yelling at customers entering and exiting the store and hawking his wares. 2. An employee who screamed at me for not putting my cart away to his satisfaction. 3. A squeegee guy at the gas pumps cleaning the windows of unsuspecting customers and then demanding $10, a classic scam. I feel safer at Wal-Mart, and it's WAY CHEAPER there, too, for the VERY SAME PRODUCTS. Or Publix in Farragut is just a short drive, and they have FAR better products and selection (with no need to use a so-called "ValuCard," which is a scam in and of itself). Besides, the employees at Publix are WAY, WAY, WAY nicer and more helpful than the employees at Food City. As a matter of fact, so are the employees at Wal-Mart. I am done with Food City. If I need milk in a hurry, Weigel's sells it. NOTE: Even though Food City has a large sign at the entrance of the store announcing "NO PETS," the rule is not enforced.

They clearly have regulars, as you'd think they have their own personal fan club. People joking and speaking with them, addressed by name. I love environments like this! Make a point of telling these hard-working staff how appreciated they are! It makes a huge difference in the experience. Reasons for star reduction? No curbside option like the Bearden location, deep potholes making turned over carts blocking spots in the lot, and often picked over/out-of-stock items that I can find quickly at other locations. As for the must-try items at Aldi? We love: -100% whole wheat bread -mini rasisin bagels -Hawaiian rolls -Apple Streusel bread (holy YUM!) -Chocolate Chip brioche loaf (great for french toast) -zucchini/squash -peppers -bags of apples -Parm couscous -salmon (much fresher than grocery or big box stores) -family chicken breasts -deli ham (comes in 2 sealed packs, so lasts longer) -hummus -cheeses! goat, unique cheddars, fondue, string -french onion dip (like the yummy old Dean's variety that has been altered in recent years) -Dairy staples-milk, almond milk, plain greek yogurt (in place of sour cream for us), half-and-half -Parm crisps -Garlic Herb Goat Cheese Risotto (Fall seasonal) -Asiago Cheddar crisps(Winter seasonal and amazing) -Nuts (cashews are yummy and a great deal here!)

This review concerns the Kroger Pharmacy. I just went to pick up a new prescription my doctor…read morecalled in for 90 tablets per refill. The pharmacy gave me 30 tablets at a cost of $34.04. They based the cost on an old prescription for the same medicine which is due to expire. I had a coupon for 90 tablets (3 times more tablets than I received) that would have cost $46. Because the pharmacy did not fill the new prescription, I received fewer tablets at double the cost of what I would have paid if they had used the new prescription instead of the old one. Not only did I not get the correct amount of tablets, I also paid twice the amount I should have paid. They would not take the pills back and correct their mistake because I did not see that they had messed up until after I left the prescription pick-up counter. Furious!

You CAN always have them write on pre-baked/available items in the bakery day-of, too. Check-out is easy here, service is friendly (except at the meat/butcher counter), and the produce is always fresh with a wide variety. I love going on Saturday mornings when the sushi chefs are making sushi. They will make one fresh for you! They have a great variety of wines. Overall, we really like this location.

This upscale, gourmet, market offers wide isles, beautiful displays, fancier products, and higher prices. I was looking for a specific bottle of wine that my online research indicated they carried, but I wasn't able to find it on my own. I asked for assistance from one of the associates, and she went to get the "wine expert" for that store. In short time, we located the bottle and I even found another one of my favorites, which is not common for most wine/liquor stores. I also picked up a few charcuterie board items to complete my purchase. Unlike some of the other Yelp reviews, I had nothing but wonderful assistance from the staff and a great experience. I would definitely stop in again when wanting an upscale experience.

However, the staff is just...rude, indifferent, impolite. And it's not just one area. The one male cashier that is there in the afternoon/evening is just awful. He's always on his headset and laughing about some private joke with someone. I've never seen him actually speak to a customer unless it's to say something rude. The meat counter staff seem to hate their jobs and get offended if you ask for assistance. I've been told to get prepackaged items on multiple occasions. The whole point of a meat counter is that i get to select what I want?? If you want help at the deli...good luck. Overall the place could be a great little store but before I go I always debate if it's worth it to deal with the people that work there. Usually I leave feeling just yucky.

Pushy people at the check out line acting like I was in there way - even though my transaction was not completed yet and I was trying to get my bags. And the in a rush young people fulfilling Amazon Orders for Prime or trying to stock the shelves - I can't tell you how many times I have been treated as is I was an impediment to what they are trying to do even though I am a paying customer trying to navigate my way through the store. it gets to me sometimes. There are too many people trying to shop in this store for the size of it. Too many people "In a Rush" to get on with their lives. I do feel like I am back up in the North East sometimes when I go there. The best times to shop are during Tennessee Game Days or on a Tuesday night of all things. I go there because they do have things that other markets in the area do not have - fruits, vegetables, organic products. I do like the fish market guys. I do like certain cashiers and try to always go to them. I do like being able to find certain products there that I cannot find anywhere else - . I do like their supplements. There are things I do like. But the whole Prime thing (order fufillment) has put a huge black mark by the shopping experience. They really need to train their restocking people to be mindful of the customers and to be a little nicer while they do it. But between trying not to get run over in the parking lot when I am trying to get into the store and not getting run over while I am in the store by the oh so many busy people in there, it has gotten to where my stress levels goes straight up when I shop there. What I will do is try to go during off hours, and I do try to do that. But this is a pattern. My opinion is that for the amount of customers they have and the amount of order fufilment they do - the store probably needs to be twice as big as it is. I gave them three stars - but like I said - it is always a stressful experience for me.
