This week's task was handling a potential infestation of rodents. Oh joy! Nothing like having your home be a home for unwanted critters, and, well, eww. Roberto showed up on time, even messaging when he was on his way, listened to my concerns, and took a look around our basement. I was relieved to find out that it did not appear as if we had a big problem, or at least as big of a problem like I had feared, and that he would look outside as well. Once outside, Roberto inspected the house and found the likely point of ingress for mice. It made total sense because the gap in the siding coincided with where the soffit for the ductwork is in the basement. He gave me quotes on the services that were available, ranging from quarterly visits to a one-time sealing of the house, and then gave me some ideas on what I could do to handle some things myself. The service charge was $99, and if you sign up for one of their quarterly services or another one of their offerings, then that service charge is rolled into part of the overall fee. I was super-pleased with that part of the arrangement and I look forward to utilizing their services. Very responsive, easy to set an appointment, and a relatively thorough inspection, all in the span of less than an hour. Great experience!

I had a hard time getting Doug to provide the estimate and he explained the delay was due to a personal issue. He gave me two prices for two depths, but did not give a detailed estimate. During the phone call to figure out what he sent me he explained the prices and told me they both included the garage. I told him to go with the higher depth, but don't do the garage. He told me it would knock $75 to $100 off the price. Great. Do it. The installers had a bill for the higher price. Like an idiot I went ahead and paid it because I did not want to hold them up on getting home. Tried to contact Doug to resolve this, but he would not return calls or e-mails. Called office and got Brenda (I think that was the name). Very nice and apologized for the problem. I asked if she was going to ignore me like Doug did. PROMISED she would resolve by end of day. That was over a month ago and still nothing. Despite being nice on the phone she blew me off and kept the money. Worse, I referred them to a neighbor and they did a poor job for him that cost him additional to have another company fix. I've used this company for years for several projects of different types. Never again.
