I took my nephew to Ifly yesterday to use our Costco gift cards. We had an amazing time! A special shout-out to our instructor, who was awesome. We had the instruction class, two flights, all of our gear, and photos and videos as a part of the package. I had a blast, as did my nephew. We had an 1130 appointment and it was noon before we started any of the check in procedures. They need more help at the front desk. Also, 2 extra people got put into our group so it made the waiting between flights that much longer. We also did not like the "performers" performing between each person. That added so much extra time that was completely unnecessary. Once would have been fine. I missed this part of the description on your website and if it's not there it needs to be included. Our instructor was good , but again the whole process could be shortened and this would make the whole experience that much better. I don't think I'll return. read more

Wouldn't do it without a Groupon. Still didn't seem worth it. My two young sons did like the very brief time they had in the air. The videos of them weren't loaded while we were there and the rest of the computer system was an absolute mess. It was a 30 minute wait for us in order to pay for the additional "high fly" that we regret getting as we waited for 30 minutes to pay for them!! They were without a doubt understaffed. Bought the family groupon for 10 minutes to divide up. I took my 2 kids and we had a blast. My younger son who's 7 only lasted 1 min 40 sec and didn't want to fly again but had fun. My older daughter, 11, and I both could have kept on flying longer than 4 min. Something different to try and we'd fly again but it's very expensive. Once you get there they try to sell you an upgraded helmet to use that covers your whole face. I didn't think it was worth it as you still get wind in your face. Just use the standard one included. They also sell the finale fly for $10 where the instructor brings you up higher for 30 sec at the end of your time. It was fun but bummed they don't bring you up very high. Not sure I'd spend that again either. All in all it was a fun experience! read more

This review is for booking a group package for my son's 10th birthday for 7 kids. I worked with a group rate planner and she was OK. We had never gone to iFly before so naturally I had tons of questions on how everything worked and what to expect. Most of my questions were answered from doing extensive research online myself. Upon arrival at our 4:30 slot (we arrived by 4:15 to begin the check in for our group), we were led to the training room promptly at our scheduled time. However, it was a little bit of a wait afterwards to allow the group in front of us to finish their flight sessions..we started at 5:20. One of the boys in the group unfortunately got really apprehensive about flying so decided not to participate. I wasn't about to pressure any kids to attempt if they weren't comfortable. However, since it was all prepaid at $50 per person, I was told no refund. Ok...so I guess they offered to extend the flight times for the birthday boy by 2 minutes. Along with this $50 rate (for 2 1-minute flight time) also included one download of a video and one photo for each participant (normally would cost extra if you were paying per individual rate). The flight experience itself was unique, which met exactly what I was looking for. My son loved it, albeit he couldn't fly independently. After the event itself, I was anxious to download the photos and videos and share them with the boys' moms since they were all excited about seeing their kids in action. Unfortunately, this was when I discovered 2 of the boys had no pictures taken of them. I immediately contacted my group planner, and she was prompt to respond and forwarded me on to a customer service rep to investigate the situation. After a couple back and forth and the very nice rep's attempts to recover the missing photos, he determined that no good ones were taken after all and they had no other videos of these boys. I was told I could just do screen captures from the videos myself and make them into photos. While I'm not technology-challenged and know how to do this, the point here was I paid for these perks and iFly did not end up delivering. It ended with a just "sorry" and that was it. While the whole birthday idea was super cool for my son and spending nearly $400 for this event, I will likely never return to iFly recreationally as I did not receive the value for the price. Only positive reviews for the attitude of the staff and nice, clean facility. read more

I would have given iFly a 4 star rating (the instructors were great & I had fun, but its a little pricey overall) had they not randomly charged me two months later for the upgrades I purchased for my flight. They had some kind of billing issue and nothing went through until TWO WHOLE FUCKING MONTHS LATER. I flew with them on March 11th, 2016 and wasn't charged until May 9th, 2016 for the "extras". Well, in March I hadn't paid my taxes yet, so I was doing better than I am in May, so iFly really fucked me over and they didn't even apologize or act like it was a poor customer service move. All I wanted was someone to explain, 1) why did it take two months? and 2) why didn't they email effected customers first to give them a heads up, or wave the fees cuz I mean it did take them two months to even figure it out. Basically if you are paying via debit or credit watch your statements and don't let their really poor billing screw you over too. read more

Absolutely loved our experience at iFly. We were invited for a friend's birthday party, and ended up purchasing additional flights for a future visit. The staff is fantastic - as much as the flying itself is awesome, it is so fantastic because of the trainers. They really make sure to take care of the kids and ensure everyone has a great time. My 17 year old nephew was having trouble getting stabilized on his first flight and was ejected after being accused of trying to do flips. We had to forfeit his flights including the extra money paid for "high fly" and videos. Additionally, I never received the videos I paid for of my own flights. Was told they would find them in the backlog and email to me after not showing up on the computer screen after my session. All in all I feel like I was robbed considering I spent over $160 for the both of us. read more

On my second flight the wind power dislocated my shoulder and I had to go to the emergency room to have it reset. So can't say it was a great experience especially since the web site says that it is safe. What an unparalleled experience!! While an expensive adventure, you'll find that it's worth every penny. The staff focuses on creating an awesome experience for everyone, safely and efficiently. There was a pack of us. A massive crew of well over 40 people. Our flight experience ranged from novice to expert, age ranged from 6yrs to 73yrs. The safety training, prep and flight transitions were seamless. Our coach was effective at conveying commands and she made sure we all had a blast. The tunnel is completely see through, so you're surrounded by on lookers and you can make eye contact while in mid air. You're going to love your time inside. It's a remarkable feeling to float, but it's hard work fighting your body to hold position. Time flues, while you're flying, and I highly suggest opting to high-fly (tandem flight vertically up the tunnel with a pro) People were stopping by just to watch! Ladies, braid your hair if it's long. I'm currently missing some after my elastic band bailed on me, mid flight. What a rats nest that was! It's addictive. It's also expensive. So be prepared to leave craving your next sky-venture. No only do I recommend I-Fly, I can't wait to get back in that magic tunnel!!!! read more

Last year I took my boyfriend to do indoor skydiving for his birthday but didn't care too much for it. He liked it so he purchased a voucher to return again. We redeemed the voucher last weekend and brought more people with us this time and had an amazing time thanks to our instructor Russ Scott. He went above and beyond to make our experience great! We took my family for my twins 5th birthday. They were fearless and absolutely loved the experience. If you are afraid of heights/generally wimpier like myself, pay the extra $5 for the full face mask. I was dreading getting to iFLY an hour before the flight but watching other folks fly and getting excited was part of the fun. If you have not been before, the area is a little confusing so I would allocate extra time to finding the location and getting a parking spot. Also there are lots of restaurants in the immediate walking area if you have time to kill before or you want to celebrate after the flights. We all did the extra high fly for $10, even the kids. Some packages include pictures and video but if you have a friend who will watch and not sky dive, you can get some great pictures yourself. Out of six in my group, with two one minute flights, one of the videos from iFLY was very very off (and unfortunately it was the fun high flight). The rest were ok. The minute in the chamber seems quick when you are watching but it isn't quick when you are in the chamber. The flight instructor made us comfortable in the chamber. They do a little show after you are done and I only half joked to my husband that he should have done the show first so we could see how good he was. (You really have no idea of your instructors skill because you watch a short video and then he hands you a suit and that is the extent of the interaction before you go in). The woman who checked us in downstairs was nice. Everyone seemed generally happy to be working there. We purchased our tickets at a good discount from Costco. Other yelp reviews mention Groupons. I would look for a deal and it was something very cool to try once. read more

Best experience ever. I took our volleyball team here and they were too good to us. We watched the video and my girls had tons of questions. Our instructor Matt was so patient with them. The ladies at the front and Matt recommended I don't fly since I had a previous shoulder surgery. I took the step to do it and Matt was so good with me and patient with my shoulder. Visited this morning with some family - this was an excellent time! We each did 2 - 1 minute flights and it was so much fun. Our instructor was Sam who was very fun and helpful - and he can fly around that thing like Peter Pan - it was truly awesome to watch and is a great advertisement. Two of us bought more flight time for a return trip and will definitely work on learning to maneuver better in the tube - the discounted flight vouchers you can buy on site also make great gifts (which is how we attended in the first place). This was a MUST have experience for family fun or Just a date night out. My girlfriend, daughter and I came upon this place going to the outlet mall in the same complex. If you ever had fear skydiving and Jumping out of a plane try this! You get the same thrill and excitement but with maximum safety LOL!! The instructor we had was very patient, friendly and thoughtful. We took the four minute package and it seemed longer than that, for we were little tired after we finished. The key is just to relax. The instructor we had was very safety conscious and in-tune with each individual as they are no more than 1 foot away from you at all times. They recommend that you get there an hour before your flight time. So we were there for two hours, spent $50.00/person and flew for two minutes each. Indoor skydiving was beyond fun! If you want to feel what it is like to float/fly, then definitely come here. I don't know that I would compare it to real skydiving (although I have never been). But, it is something different and fun to do. I thought it was worth the money to get the experience. I came with a group (most of us were first timers). We spent $70 each and were able to fly 2 times each, get a video for each person, rent the suits/etc, get hands-on instruction, and were able to "fly" really high up in the wind tunnel with the instructor's help. The instructor was great - I felt really comfortable the entire time. It looks easier than it is, but the instructor helps you the whole time. There's definitely nothing to fear (except maybe heights, but I'm good with that). They messed up our videos a little (the editing was a bit off), and I never received my certificate, but I will live. Our group was accidentally overbooked, but I thought they were graceful in dealing with it. I would definitely come back again! read more

We were given Costco gift cards for Christmas presents and finally used them to celebrate my sons 13th birthday. I was a bit nervous it would have an impact on my back (38 yo female) but it didn't. My sons and I had an amazing time. We were a little late and they were very accommodating considering our flight was the first one at 9am. Josh was our instructor, was patient and gave it his all. It was tough for the younger ones to get the hang of it because they did not have control of their legs. It's very important to know the hand signals. The only downfall is that you can't get the video onsite when using the costco gift card, you have to go home and upload it. -you do not need to take anything inside (wallet, jewelry, phones) but they do have lockers -I wish I would have known in advance that we could tip our instructors. They have envelops by the desk. I didn't bring cash :-( -you snooze you lose, get there ontime or your slot will be taken away -sign waivers online in advance. Makes the process run smoothly. - bring someone with you who is not flying so they can video record and take pictures. Overall it's a great time and we can't wait to go back! read more

This should all be included at booking for the initial fee this should just be a part of the experience.
